Is there any money to be made in caving? I understand that if people cave and they don't find anything, they make youtube videos and post about it online et cetera. But I can also imagine that there a lot of cavers who struck gold or some diamonds or something and never told anyone. They just get into the cave, get the valuables out and get rich? Maybe go in again to get more? There's of course no evidence of this as anyone telling about their valuable cave would see it looted very fast. So they keep it a secret? Could this be? Or is this just a conspiracy theory? Is caving just an unconscious search for some sort of valuable and anyone still doing it as a hobby hasn't gotten rich yet?

>>60883784stay away from MY cave
>>60883784>caving is euphemism for gay sex?
>>60883826I have no interest in caving. Just curious if there's money to be made. I can't believe they all do it just as a hobby. There must be some explorers who actually found gold or something? Why else risk your life to go into a hole? You must *want* to find something. If they don't find anything, it's a hobby. But some must have gotten rich from it? It's like boxing or soccer. Lots of people play to hope and make money from it yet not many do and they just do it as a hobby.

>>60884107Gold and diamonds have to be mined. You don't just find a clump of gold or a diamond rock lying around in a cave little zoom zoom

>>60884176I'm aware but you still have to find the gold. Read the article. Imagine caving somewhere and finding a big space where gold is. Sure it needs to be mined but it's possible right?

Underwater caves in particular are full of pirate treasure
I might be completely wrong but I don't think there are many gold deposits in limestone/karst formations.
