I bought 50 $1 scratch off Tickets and only won $31 what kind of bullshit is that?
>>60886371i heard a boomer at the gas station yesterday say but i paid $10 and they only gave me $3 what a ripoff. i chuckled knowingly, but the truth was i didn't care
>>60886371why didn't you buy a winning one?
Should have bought 50 $100 tickets
>>60886371Putting aside the fact that lottery tickets in general are a huge waste of money, the $1 tickets are the worst. The odds of winning any prize (including breakeven) are usually around 1:5. And if you somehow win the ultra grand prize its usually $1,000. That's only going to make you depressed because despite getting so incredibly lucky statisticlly speaking all you have to show is $1k which is literally nothing. With $5, $10 , and $20 tickets the odds are closer to 1:4.$50 and $100 tickets are even more likely to give you at least your initial but they have an additional hidden "premium" that is baked in due to the fact that the grand prize is always a gorillion dollars which you wouldnt even know what to do with. With $10 and $20 tickets the grand prize is closer to 1 or 2 million dollars which is enough to make it, but not high enough to justify the premium that I mentioned earlier. Lets be real, no matter which face value tickets you buy, you will never win the grand prize because there are only like 5 of them out of 100s of thousands of tickets. What you want to hope for is the mid tier rewards that are rare, but not so rare that you can play the same game for 50 years and and expect to never hit even once.Tldr. You would have been better off buying 5× $10 tickets and hoping to hit a $400 or $500 payout. Any prizes worth $600 and more require you to complete KYC.
>>60886371Scratch off lottery tickets are the worst (potential gains are very low)Just play regular lotteries.
>>60886803It depends. Last week I bought 1 one dollar ticket and won 20$. Also spent 20$ on the Powerball and won nothing.
>>60886371That's actually pretty good. Usually you get lie 2 dollars back.
