I can't shake the gut feeling that this time really is different...What if the cycle ends on no hype after all? Seriously, what could convince your normie friends and family to come back?
>>
>>60891872
They couldn’t even convince the normies that AI (actually useful) isn’t a bubble. And you think crypto has a chance?
>>
>>60891872
This time is different because we won't get a bear market in 2026. It will just keep crabbing upwards slowly, slowly ..

Its already over
>>
>>60891872
If crypto was actually used for something other than buying pizza once in 2010. Despite all the rabbit holes, all the whitepapers, all the promises, i dont think anything is used.
>>
There's been multiple attempts to instigate pumps and hype but all of those attempts have horribly failed this year. This cycle was a lesson that normies were a REQUIREMENT for bull markets similar to '17 and '21. They simply didn't come back this time, so all pumps will keep failing and bear whales will take over from here.

Equally dangerous is that no one is selling everything anymore. Part of what let Bitcoin get so big is that people used to get a x5 and sell all their coins without thinking "Hm, maybe I should hold onto just 10 of these. You never know!". Now everyone is keeping their "just in case" stacks, resulting in way fewer complete shakeouts.
>>
>>60891872
I don't think normies will come in. 2020-2021 was a unique point in time, the circumstances won't be recreated. Many normies pissed their pants when they saw ETH gas fees during high traffic, or became disillusioned when the 500 DOGE they bought didn't turn into $500k, and have left for good. NFTs didn't help.
>>
>>60891872
Yes, should've just DCA'd into bitcoin all along since that will keep outpacing other long term investment strategies.
>>
>>60891872
We're going up forever
>>
people were saying 2017 would never happen again too, then 2021 happened and it was way bigger.
>>
>>60892345
There's maybe 3 months left of the run, there isn't enough time left in the year to get anything like 17 or 21.
>>
>>60892491
i don't think it will end that soon. remember that most of trumps wealth is now in crypto, and he is ultra corrupt and want to enrich himself more. he will push legislation that will pump shit bigly. then normies will arrive after the first big green dildos and greed will pump us higher. i don't care what lines on a chart says or what the old prophesies say about the timing or whatever.
>>
>>60892520
trump has been sucking money out of this market even without normies. only retail needs gigapumps to make big money, insiders can make big money purely off volatility. ada, xrp, and sol have completely retraced from the pumps they had when trump tweeted about them being in a crypto reserve, but that doesn't matter because his team definitely opened massive longs beforehand.

AI won. One thing bitcucks don't realize is all the AI superclusters and data centers being built around the world right now is going to make the BTC hash rate look tiny. If any company wants to fuck around with BTC in a year or two, they will easily be able to achieve a 51% attack. Especially when BTC goes back down 60k again.

IT IS OVER
>>
>>60891872
I've been through a few cycles and honestly this one does feel different.
I think people will be surprised my gut tells me we still have a lot of upside before a significant dip if there even is one.
Time will tell

Normies in this context means low interest rates. That's whats missing this cycle. Its fucking obvious.

Don't you make me do it!
>>
>>60891872

I feel the same. No hype, no euphoria, no normies piling in. Can't see a blow off top like in 2017 and 2021. Nobody gives a fuck anymore.
>>
this time is different because no one on this board invests into memecoins or super lowcaps anymore and 90% here hold coins that have been in the top50 since forever

I genuinely think this cycle we will see good increases in the top 20 maybe top 25 max simply because of crypto 401ks and basket ETFs, but the ones that will really standout will have to provide something of value for big liquidity to pour in
>>
>>60891872
>Seriously, what could convince your normie friends and family to come back?
nothing.
>>
>>60891872
crypto is too slow/wasteful to be used outside of niche usecases like buying drugs.
the amount of hype it got by idiots like you is comical.

>what could convince your normie friends and family to come back

I don't know how to answer this except "you know it when you see it/feel it"

and we definitely have not seen it or felt it yet. That pure frothy FOMO feeling where you feel like if you don't buy THIS SECOND you're going to miss out on generational wealth, and the tippy top is just a few days away. Very rare feeling I've only felt a few times since 2018
>>
>>60892345
INTEREST IN 2017/2018 WAS MAGNITUDES HIGHER THAN IN 2021. IT WAS FULL BLOWN MANIA BACK THEN. NOW, RETAIL IS DISILLUSIONED, TAPPED OUT, AND DOESN'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT CRYPTO. NO ONE DOES ASIDE FROM A VERY NICHE COMMUNITY
>>
>>60895212
Sure 2021 was different than 2017/18 but I wouldn't say interest in 17/18 was "magnitudes higher". That's cope.

In 2021 we literally got FTX and CRYPTO.COM arenas. CEX commercials starring A-list celebrities. Crypto companies sponsoring professional sports team jerseys, billboards, etc. They could've only dreamt of that in 2018.
>>
>>60895111
ACH is niche?
What is this argument?!
>>
>>60891872
>not enough bears in the catalog
It is over.
And this was the last bullrun.
People are now buying gold and silver.
Crypto will be remembered as a fad, used for the development of CBDCs. History books will tell about people who made and lost money with dogshit tokens.
>>
>>60895915
It's embarrassing what crypto has become. This cycle and all future cycles are done with.

First, neither my family nor my friends were ever interested in crapto. They didn't care when I was starting out and they didn't care when I took out 300k to buy my own place. Secondly, there's now a lot of institutional interest/investment in this shit, that's why I'm relatively calm. We can start worrying if we dump to fucking 70k or some shit but for now, it's fine. Septembear and Decembear are right around the corner, though...
>>60895915
People have been buying gold and silver since economics became an actual thing, retard. Don't worry, I just bought another 5k stack of SON, and another two ETH, this is a top signal and we can dump now.
