They are laying off lots of ppl, and I don't want to be a part of it. Instead I want to walk away. Am I safe to do with this portfolio?
>>
>>60893503
Yes this is makeit territory. Why are you even still working?
>>
>>60893503
Just do it bro. I walked away from my career a few months ago with about $2 mil net worth. My plan is to spend through the $95k cash I started with over the next 12-18 months, then cash out and use up my $225k brokerage for about 3 years, and then finally cash out crypto $80-100k annually for decades while it keeps going up in value. I could've and should've gone down this path like 2 years ago instead of waiting to hit some BS $3 mil or $5 mil goal.

Crypto is mostly 95% ETH and BTC
What else would you suggest doing apart from work ?
>>
>>60893675
what app is this?
>>
>>60893503
How can you amas this much money, yet be retarded. Live off the interest and get some part time job
>>
Why wouldn’t you wait and get severance dude, you’re really going to pass up a free 50k?
>>

Delta
>>60893721
I'm 35, actually like the job ,but the company sucks. They layoff after project gets done
What other kind of jobs would you recommended? And should I also move out of US to maybe Thailand ?
>>
>>60893764
There is no severance . Same as getting fired which is insulting
>>
>>60893675
>Crypto is mostly 95% ETH and BTC
Same. I've got about $1.4 million split between BTC and ETH. We're set for decades. No need to stress or gamble.
>What else would you suggest doing apart from work ?
Just chill and keep your spending reasonable. Maybe live abroad and travel like I am. If you're too type A to sit around, you can pick up a low-stress side hustle.

>And should I also move out of US to maybe Thailand ?
This is what I did, but only for the experience and quick/easy travel to other countries in Asia. You can safely withdraw from your $2.7 mil while living comfortably in America/Europe. I still have a house and car in America that I'm paying for and plan to go back to after a year or two.

Do you stake your ETH ? I get about$4k / month at current prices. Hope the price doesn't go below, is it possible to live off of staking without withdrawing principal?
>>
>>60893776
Collect unemployment. Or just coast doing nothing until they fire you
>>
>>60893930
I used to run Rocket Pool validators at the height of the ETH merge hype. I was making up to $7-8k a month in ETH and RPL rewards but then Rocket Pool slowly died and so did my staking machine so I had to shut it all down over a year ago. Now I just hold my ETH in cold storage.
What is current ETH staking APR now? 3-4%? You can do the math to see if that's enough for you live off of without selling your principal. Take into account that ETH might go up or down 0-50% within a year.
>>
>>60894040
Current APR is only like 2.5%. too many stakers. How did rocket pool die?
>>
>>60894930
Same problem. Too many stakers diluting the ETH and RPL token rewards until it got to the point that fewer and fewer stakers wanted to be node operators on Rocket Pool. That led to downward pressure on the RPL token price which led to more people deciding not to stake on that platform anymore. Last I heard, holding RPL is no longer a requirement to be a node operator. The protocol isn't dead but who knows where it'll be long term.

You’re going to hold it thru the next bear? Not try to sell and rebuy the lows?
>>
>>60895224
If I sell, that creates a massive taxable event. And then I'd have to figure out how to time the "low" or risk being sidelined while ETH continues to go up. Nah, it's much better for me to ride the wave even if there's another bear market soon.

If you 8xd your portfolio from 5k to 40k and you have boomer parents saying hold it to compound when you are unemployed with no skills at 20. Should I just sell my shit and see it as a vehicle to get me to a position where I can replace what I sold? Poor dad mindset is encouraging me to just get a job and HUDL it meanwhile he doesnt invest when I told him about bitcoin in 2010s and palantir in early 2020s but will go out to buy lottery tickets. Should I just stop caring what boomers and boomer lites(early 70s gen X) think about finance? debating on trade school/autodictarian route, can someone older give me advice on if theyd sacrifice their portfolio to focus on their own development for a year?
>>
>>60893503
Only if you liquidate your crypto and buy ETFs.
Any crypto can flash crash and the world will continue spinning, the markets only go to zero when armageddon strikes.
>>
You could put all of your money into treasuries and live on $60k annually while your portfolio still increases in perpetuity.
>>
>>60893764
>Why wouldn’t you wait and get severance dude, you’re really going to pass up a free 50k?
>>60893776
>There is no severance . Same as getting fired which is insulting
dang. I got $100k total to get cut, but I have $1.6M not $2.7M
>>
>>60893503
Get fired and get severance and unemployment. Don’t quit
>>
ethereum is going down the shitter. you are a fucking retard for not selling already and you've posted this shit for years and years and years. you fucking faggot. "IS 300 ETH ENOUGH TO NEVER WAGE KEK AGAIN??" fucking kill yourself you 3rd world retarded spammer
>>
>>60893776
>There is no severance . Same as getting fired which is insulting

Why is that? That doesn't sound right.

Also if you're in the US even if no severance you can collect unemployment if you get fired. And for your health insurance the company will be required to subsidize another few months (COBRA)
>>
>>60893503

Unless you're living on Miami Beach in a 40,000,000 mansion and your monthly expenses are like 50k a month.........yes, you can walk away from your job

Do you really need us to tell you that?
>>
>>60893503
Why is this even a question? Why are you still working? Leave ffs
>>
>>60893776
>insulting
learn to stomach your pride a bit trust me
it really isnt that big of a deal
>>
>>60893675

>>
>>60895352
treasuries? how would you even invest in that? buy bonds? whats the codes search them up on share apps?
>>
>>60893691
blockfolio
>>
>>60893503
from my pitiful understanding, you need something like 33x your annual income invested in order to make a living off of stock dividends. you could be making like 80k/yr not working. absolutely can retire
