Any tips on how to fix this? I'm 28 and my memory has went to shit, I have brain fog and I struggle to read complex books without losing interest or misunderstanding sentences. This is /biz/ related because it obviously hurts my performance at work, although I still do well enough relatively speaking. I must spend 5+ hours a day on my phone or browsing the internet. What's changed in the last few years is Instagram reels, I spend a lot of my time on that shit.

I wasn't always like this. My countries high school exams I was in the top 5%, did well in a STEM subject at a good university and have a good job. I remember reading War and Peace as a 14 year old and hanging on every word. Not saying this as if I was exceptional or anything, but I certainly wasn't as retarded as I am now.

It's highly processed/modified from stores sometimes. Also, lactose can have impacts on people without typical allergic reactions/intolerances being obvious.

Does anyone else watch educational videos at 3x speed because otherwise your mind will wonder elsewhere and it allows you to rapidly learn new concepts and you would playback at 5x speed but then the audio is incomprehensible most of the time, and now when socialising I can almost anticipate where the conversation is going and will end and often cut over the middle part of conversations to reach the logical ending thus crippling my social skills as it's generally more about being in the moment and flowing with the other party, and is this a bad practice?

Hey OP, this is what you’re going through:

What you need to do is stop going on Reels. That’s the worst.
