They appear to be tamping down silver to keep it below $41. Tonights high was $40.96 and then a bunch of selling happened. It went back up to $40.90 and the same thing happened again.Looks very inorganic.

The Chinese demand for gold and silver is greatly limiting the ability for COMEX and the LBMA to tamp down the price of silver. Silver is in a 4 year deficit and above ground stocks of available silver are shrinking as bars get delivered to manufacturers.Gone are the days when the bullion banks could literally circlejerk the price back and forth, frustrating the hedge funds and anyone else who wanted to actually invest. Three steps forward, two steps back was the common pattern. Now we get three steps forward and a pause. https://x.com/GoldFishCharts/status/1963845103052820560

Everyone else is free to dump theirs as fast as they please. The earlier ones get the best deal. Race to the fire exits. In other words, the Federal Reserve doesn't net to create any additional fiat for there to be a US dollar hyperinflation (run on dollars). Just a run on foreigners dumping rid of US fiat. Smart ones will go to the USA and buy shit like land, equities, etc. Others will buy gold, silver, bitcoin, commodities.

You can't really carry a Maple without a case. 24kt gold has tax advantages in some countries, ie, in Canada only pure gold and silver can be sold tax free so Eagles, Krugs, and Sovereigns have a 5% sales tax, whereas Buffalos, modern Britannias and Buffaloes do not. Doesn't matter whether they're sovereign mint or not, pure gold & silver = tax free.I think AU and NZ have the same retarded policy. Sovereigns sold to coin shops get below melt and are sent to the refiner because nobody wants to pay the extra 5%.
>>60900919Looking over the past week it seems to stop at 41.60, whereas 41 seems like a floor.
Something I have been dabbling with is sterling rings with natural gemstones. I found a lot of natural rainbow fire opal rings that sell for 200-300 but because it is only sterling silver boomers sell it for 15 dollars. I used to crave gemstones as a kid too and amassed dozens of sapphires, rubies, emeralds and even a couple 1 carat natural diamonds. It was only when I started stacking that it dawned on me that I could have both. Always keep your eyes out for sterling jewelry with gems because surprisingly most of the gems I found are natural. It is rare where I'm at to find lab grown. And I like to think in a shtf scenario cheap jewelry like what I have will be worth a lot for like gifts and stuff. If not just to outright barter.
>>60902458>Looking over the past week it seems to stop at 41.60, whereas 41 seems like a floor. They really want to snuff out any momentum because at some point, people will notice the gains and the retail market will start picking up and then they lose control of the price until the next plateau which should be either $45 or $50.

>>60902829>rhutenium finish BUinstead of memeing around with this, i wish mints actually proposed .999 rhutenium coins. This metal is unvalued af, it's critical in many sectors and super rare (x4 rarer than gold) while being a tiny fraction of the price. But ofc we can't get cool things so it doesn't exist. :(
>>60902838do you think I overpaid? I more so don't know if I really want it and so I'm wondering if I can turn around and dump it for a slight gain. If not, I'll have to sheepishly ask the seller if I can cancel my order
>>60902845Well if that's what you want. And yeah, you overpaid of course if you're thinking in terms of stacking.I usually stack seriously for 90% of my stack and fun for 10%, so I tend not to impulse buy anything really. It's all in the budget already.
>>60902845idk really, i don't mess with modern exonumia. At least it's a popular design and the population is rather low (700).But if the idea was to immediately flip it to make few bux, you should cancel it, once you factor in shipping fees in&out + various seller platform fees (especially if on jewbay), you'll most definitely be in the red.If it's for mid to long term hoarding before flipping, then i can't tell, it's up to you to determine if it could climb in value. But considering the quite insane amounts of exonumia series being sharter on the weekly, do you really think this one will stand out enough to justify people going after it rather than the thousands of others designs?
>>60902864This. It's more or less a museum piece in your own house, but it will never hold any actual value probably.I'd only consider something like that if I liked a particular design. You'll never make a dollar on that - even if silver goes up 10 dollars that only adds a little more than 10 to the sell price, and fees will eat that.
Reminder that the US government considers silver a critical resource for its national security. This means they will need to accumulate a strategic reserve. It does not currently own any. This means it will need to purchase it on the open market. There is very little supply available. This means the price must increase.
>>60902845Also it seems to stress you out a bit too much for a $90 "pleasure" purchase. If you are low on cash and $90 is kinda a big deal to your budget, then you should stick to lower premium silver, or actual numismatic coins with an already clear price chart, that way you always know if you made a good deal or not at T+0 time.
>>60902859>>60902864I figured as much, I think I initially saw some of the other designs for ruthenium plated libertads selling for over $100 and so I thought I did good, but then I realized that the limited mintage is just by this seller and it was an aftermarket thing (kinda like gilded ASEs.) Now I just need to think of a good reason to cancel the order
>>60902894yeah $90 is not huge in and of itself, but I am saving up to buy some Japanese gold on my next trip so I need to not drop money on stupid purchases
>>60902805>Buy an entire box of goldbacksBased premium stackers, their premiums could be bigger than my entire stack with one purchase.>>60902901It's only 100 dollars, keep it around as a reminder to your retardation and think of a strategy to divide stacking and fun, so you don't make the same mistake.>>60902903Ah.
>>60902894pesos are so good looking, I'd take them over basically 90% of actual fancy coins any day.
>>60902886>It does not currently own any. They do actually, i posted the figures last week. But that's ridiculous-tier amounts, iirc the US gov currently detain a 3Moz emergency reserve. Def not enough to call it a strategic reserve.IF they one day decide to reopen the strategic reserve, i hope they wont do it too timidly and understand how important it is. Like, 500Moz, no less.
we're gonna make it so hard, bros
>>60902904Nah, I can just think back to that time I bought something on ebay live and not do it again
>If you delayed your gold purchasing by 1 day to avoid buying fractional you actually lost more than you saved just in 1 single day of movement33 dollars... 1 singular day...
>>60902901>I thought I did good, but then I realizedYeah lol, it sum it up pretty well for any "special editions" stacker thinking he got a deal. Often when we think we found a great deal we hastily click the buy button due to fomo, when the thing to do is to take a deep breathe and think logically>wait a minute, that's a bit too easy, where is the catch? Can't count the number of times i was a bit too fast to bid/buy when i thought i could make an easy flip, only to figure out later on that i didn't thouroughly search for past sales. Then on a second scanning i find out it wasn't that great of a deal. But others times, it's simply a great deal.>>60902903Japan is reputed to be quite pricy, is the idea here to take some historic gold and flip it to dweeb collectors once you come back to the US? >>60902978>You people admit the miners will make you more money(and allow you to buy even MORE silver) but you don't even care. That's not true tho.SOME miners will make you more money. Some others will dilute your ass into oblivion. If we are on /pmg/, it's also because we like safe bets. We aren't degenerate gamblers chasing dopamine highs.Every day of the week i prefer to secure a +50% sure at 100%, rather than a +100% only sure at 50%.What makes PMs so incredibly nice is we bet on something we know will inevitably goes up. There is virtually zero other asset class giving us this level of returns with this level of safeness. None. Why don't you go to /cmmg/ if you like miners so much?
