Curious, with all the mergers over the years, how many anons can say that they still bank with the same company they initially opened an account with. My first joint account with a parent was with picrel, which is long gone. When I turned 18, I opened my own account with a local bank, Chevy Chase, which also got gobbled up after 2008. Bullshit with each of the new corps led me to closing my accounts.

Funny, Wachovia bought First Union. Now they're gone, too (part of Bank of America IIRC).

EDIT: Nope, Wells Fargo. And FU bought Wachovia and then named itself Wachovia, apparently.

Last I checked Bank of America still exists and my share have been going up this year.
I just opened another biz checking account this week.
