Anyone here making money from YouTube videos?I had a channel with a few thousand subscribers and a partnership a decade ago (Was making $500/month after a few videos went viral). I'm thinking of making daily videos for fun and eventually making some side money from it again. I work full time from home so it seems like I might as well built it out, likely trying out a range of kinds of videos from my hobbies like travel and video essays, then seeing what sticks best.
I was making 10k a month and went from that to 0. I have like 500k saved and I have never had a job in my life, mid 30's. I hacked the system, now im trying not to kill myself as I have experienced true freedom. I need to 4x my savings. And no, there are no other ways to make money but AdSense ad revenue. The rest is cope. Only people with cult followings get anyone to click on links let alone convert into buying merch. What happened is the channel demonetized and YouTube does not tell you what videos supposedly caused this because its all AI moderated bullshit anyway. Only people with contacts get this information. So you are supposed to delete a bunch of videos and destroy the channel and hope that you get accepted again, I refuse to do this (whats the point of getting monetization back after you deleted all your best videos) so they can fuck off. Currently trying to make a new channel while trying not to kill my fucking self with an axe to the head but im too tired. It took too much work. Each video too fucking months to produce. And no there is no way to make money outside ad revenue, kys with the retarded just get a patreon broooo just go to someretarded aspie platform like rumble brooo shit.
>>60918329As long as you stick with it the odds are decent you can make ok pocket cash from stuff like this.I built a website just for affiliate sales some years ago... building the website all in was like 60 hours of work which I accomplished over 2 weeks. Within 1 year I was driving $300/mo in revenue.I felt like to keep it up (traffic-wise) I would likely have to continuously build on the website and I really didn't want to spend more time on it for $300/mo so I wound up selling it for like $1500. Absolutely retarded move. The guy who bought it broke it completely - it is not a serviceable website at all and 4 years later the traffic has actually GROWN. All I had to do probably was add one new post a month and it would be like a $1000/mo+ website now.One of the most retarded mistakes of my life. I sometimes think of rebuilding it but I had built 3 other websites which all landed flat (second best one did like $20/mo, other 2 got nothing) so I'm not sure I can get lightning to strike again and 60 hours is a lot of time to get nothing out of it... but my main point is if you try enough stuff you can get something to catch eventually, I'm sure of it.
>>60918347btw im not from muh land of the free so 500k is a lot more here, people never have that in savingsI was fucking Balling and they took it all away from me. Now I have some big channel making tons of traffic with no fucking way to monetize it unless i delete the videos that get all the traffic. And no dumbass I cannot put affiliate links or any shit since nobody clicks on that shit plus it's entertainment for young people which have no money anyway. Meanwhile MrFageast gets to run rigged lotteries for children and he never gets any repercusions. And the fuckers run ads on my videos too. Fuck this fucking platform they should be sued.

>>60918347I feel your pain mate, I have been self employed for over 15 years making websites and getting paid via adsense etc and google has absolutely shafted me and many others with ai. The top is well and truly in. Google search for example now gives you answers directly scraped from websites and reddit that are all botted / using ai. It's essentially eating itself and training on this. All the ai models have already consumed every piece of real human content so it's now training on spam essentially. My advice to you is to learn how to trade. I'm not talking about high leverage degenerate gambling I'm talking about 1 or 2 small trades a day Monday to Friday max. Aim for $50 a day to start with. You can do it and FUCK that giga jeet who runs google
>>60918329This has net me $0 and 0¢
>>60918391And here's why
>>60918382Day trading is retarded. I have made 80k last year with a single trade (MSTR). So im aiming to these swing trades. I still have half the MSTR position that im holding, hopefully we get another good pump and I can have another green year, then stay on cash for 2026 and see what happens. But this is fucking crap. Getting a monthly paycheck was awesome. Now i live in anxiety on a daily. The problem isn't even AI slop, but the fact that google uses AI itself to moderate contents. So I was hit by some gayass harmful content policy. Clearly just metadata driven. And then add in some jeetarded or just white boomers as the staff and you are dead. Plus the staff is just trained to obey the AI anyway. Youtube is investing a lot in AI and they have to justify this by reporting successful AI moderation %'s. Each time they undo an AI decision it just means their investment is crap and this would piss off VC's.Im fucking trapped on a dead end. I got this big channel doing nothing. It's a terrible feeling. I want to try my luck with a new channel, but there's too much luck involved to get traffic anyway. I won the lottery (doesn't mean I didn't work hard as fuck, but luck is more important than hard work, this is what these guru retards that should be shot wouldn't say) so im risking just wasting my time for nothing. Not that im doing anyway with my free time anyway just trying not to kmfs on a daily.
>>60918422it sounds like you have been pushing slop to kids desu so fuck you buddy. Your only choice is sell the channel / account before it literally goes to zero
>>60918446I have not been pushing slop you fucking dumbass, videos were cool. It's MrBeast who is pushing slop. My videos were hand crafted, im not using AI or spamming videos. In any case, stay mad faggot, I made 500k.
>>60918347Do you think it's worth it to revive an old channel with thousands of subs, tens of millions of views, and hundreds of videos or just start from scratch?>>60918353>Within 1 year I was driving $300/mo in revenue.I'd be fine with that. I currently make 120k from home consulting in tech, so there's a ton of free time and it seems I might as well just build a little fun business that can at least be a tax write off in some ways and potentially amount to something. Worst case I should retire in 5-10 years just dumping half my paychecks into BTC anyhow.>>60918379This probably makes the most but I rather make less and do something enjoyable. The benefit of my full time job is I don't need to do this. I imagine most that do this have some criminal history and can't work normal jobs, thus they have to con.>>60918422>another green year, then stay on cash for 2026my exact plan. Haven't sold anything but since last year I've just auto stacked my money to a HYSA just to be safe. Within a few months will stay all cash again, then rebuy at a discount.
>>60918522Post your channel or a title of a video
>>60918550>just dox yourself bronope. It's a channel with 1 million subs. I already said enough. I don't care what you think of it. The money has been made. Maybe I reapply sometime in the future and randomly they monetize it back, it has happened before to others, so im not selling it. And Youtube is running ads on the videos, so it just shows the scam this platform is, so you are retarded cuck by trying to care about muh kids when they place ads on the videos, but the videos are cool anyway, compared to the garbage that gets monetized.Btw, If you want to make money in YT now specially with AI you MUST do slop, you get outcompeted by AI mass producing content. Everyone making money is making slop, wether it is for kids or for adults, it's all content farms, so if you don't want to make slop you are not making money. And yes, even your favorite youtuber is a content farm. When there's money involved, when there's frequent uploads, it's slop by default. It's just that with AI it's even worse and more retarded.>>60918538>my exact plan. Haven't sold anything but since last year I've just auto stacked my money to a HYSA just to be safe. Within a few months will stay all cash again, then rebuy at a discount.I sold some just in case because this is volatile as fuck and who knows. There's also the possibility tha 2026 is a bullish year and we are sidelined as fuck but I have no income so I gotta pay bills by selling shares, and hopefully catch the new wave with as much cash as possible.
>>60918522Then why do you sound so angry and threatening to kill yourself with every post you make? Just begging for attention or might you be larping?
>>60918538>Do you think it's worth it to revive an old channel with thousands of subs, tens of millions of views, and hundreds of videos or just start from scratch?Depends. What niche? if it has competition that is doing good, then try it, but if you have a fuckton of subs that subscribed for something else and you plan to do something completely diferent, unless you have a cult following (example, people will watch anything pewdiepie does, even install linux on a computer) then yes. If you have some faceless channel, then it's only valuable if you are able to get the subcribers to watch the new content, if they only want the same thing they subscribed for, or if what you did is out of fashion, then you are fucked, since these subs will not be clicking on your videos.>This probably makes the most but I rather make less and do something enjoyable. The benefit of my full time job is I don't need to do this. I imagine most that do this have some criminal history and can't work normal jobs, thus they have to con.I don't see where is the big mystery here. You can make 6 figures with AdSense, now leverage this if you are not cucked by the ustardian government: you can move anywhere you want and suddendly you are balling. Of course if you are american it's over.
>>60918757>you MUST do slopWhat kind of slop? Would it still be those channels reacting to news, gaming etc? I'd probably make a channel that's wholesome, but might try a slop channel on the side to see if it ends up making any legitimate money. The easiest seems to be channels like asmondgold or penguin0 just livestreaming a mix of gaming, media critique and looking at twitter news, giving their takes, and making a ton clips of each session based on what topic will draw the most engagement. A lot of these guys also shill sponsors, merch, patreons in between videos on top of the adsense rev.> if what you did is out of fashion, then you are fucked, since these subs will not be clicking on your videos. Is this worse then starting from scratch then? I'm not sure if I'll be shadowbanned or something coming from an old channel. I'm pretty sure a ton of videos got demonetized over the years from some copyright claim that applies now but didn't back then.
>>60918761>why are you angry at lossing 10k a month online income brooowhy I made 500k without being a waggie? because I was angry and didn't want to commutecel. the only reason I have made money ever is being angry at not having what I deserve, which is money online without a boss, that is how it must be.
>>60918893>What kind of slop? well that's up to you>The easiest seems to be channels like asmondgold or penguin0this is exactly the definition of slop that some retards may not consider slop (while they are watching slop). So yeah, anything that can be scaled easily and attracts clicks. And no it's not easy, these guys won the lottery, you must make it within the algorithm. I won the lottery on my niche, and guess what, I didn't even need to spam a ton of videos, because I had very ranked videos monetized, so those give you passive income as you work on more videos. Each channel is different, some require more uploads and some less. The thing is, these guys have cult followings, so they have pivoted from gaming to political commentary or in general. Asmongold was some wow nerd, now he's glazzing trumpfags etc. I don't want to be famous, so I only work with faceless channels. The problem is if you lose it you have nothing, so you have to start from scratch.
>>60918329Here is what works for me:>make 100 channels, different e-mails. 10 of each on a separate ip>upload same video to all 100 but cut a bit differently (swap around clips, different duration)>see if one goes viral>upload more on the channels where you had hits>repeatyou should end up with 2 to 5 channels with viral vids. Now do that for different topics. Also zoomers are fucking retarded now, they fall for ragebait and they fall for ai voice and scripts all the time, hilarious really.
>>60918347>depend your life on a platform operated by a random pajeet customer service and "hEckinG Ai"
>>60919049How do you even manage that many accounts? Is it all through some automation software/scripts? Seems it would take forever to login, upload, log out, repeat. I would think if the videos are mostly similar they'd get flagged by youtube as well. I'm surprised it wouldn't. I know on social media I get flagged when I make backup accounts using the same pictures as my main profile unless I heavily edit them as an example.
>>60919150you can have multiple channels on the same google account even, just dont do 100, thats why i only do 10 at once per vm.I use VMs that directly route through residential vpn's. I just keep them running with several accounts on different browser instances open. For the videos, make sure to export in different formats too. .mov .mp4 etc, different bitrate, different audio bitrate and its unique enough for youtube.
>>60919188That makes sense. I'm guessing these are all faceless videos with AI voice? Or do you mix in speaking into a mic for some channels? Seems youtube's algorithm picks up on AI voice so I might just use my own voice with the same blue yeti mic I use from work. Also, how do you figure what kinds of videos to do? Are you using keyword research stuff like vid IQ or just freefalling it off stuff you've already found to be trending?
>>60919312i use my own voice, but read off an ai script, then just re-edit the video a bunch of times. very minor stuff just taking one segment, remove a second, put it a minute later kind of deal. Do that 20 times or so and export with slightly different settings and duration and you get to your 100 vids no problem.I find trends by scrolling through youtube shorts for an hour every now and then. One thing that is working really well for me is taking some shit politicians said a year ago and then making the vid sound like its some breaking news recent shit and the boomers fall for it by praising how great party X is for doing that. You can also do a search on generic terms add "before: 2024" then reuse ideas people did years ago. Attention span is fried so use it in your favour.
>>60919351Yeah, I imagine using Deepseek and whatnot would help a ton with making scripts. How much have you been making in this? Is it all through ad sense?
>>60919049>all of them funnel to one adsense account>all of them funnel to one bank account>get blacklisted for all 100 channelsg8 b8 i rate it 8 outta 8
>>60919374ad sense and amazon ref links basically. Income varies, but I made 230k in 3 years. I also hold a bunch of coins. Sometimes I wonder why people are so retarded and gobble up whats on youtube
>>60919411no idea why google is not fixing the loophole lol I dont expect it to work forever
>>60919430if you keep going by your initial logicjust make 10 bank accounts maybe with 10 different banks
>>60919469cant be bothered and i dont want to burn through a bunch of bank accounts when they decide the income is sketchy
>>60919475I was going to ask how you got past the phone number verification, but i assumed your got your google accounts 5 years ago or way before phone number enforcement started>just go back in time, bro
>>60919421That's pretty decent. I already work from home in a cushy job so it seems this hobby is worth it to at least make a bit extra to buy up more bitcoin and keep me busy until I retire hopefully in 5-10 years. At that point I'd just shift to making videos on whatever interests me and travel.>cant be bothered and i dont want to burn through a bunch of bank accountsSeems you don't even need to do that if you only have a few of the channels that even qualify for ad sense. Doubt they'll blacklist someone with 2-5 channels.
>>60919132bitch, what have you achieved? he has skill and success but got rugpulled. show him another website to make money with videos that target >105 IQ. there aren't any
In the past I used adsense to monetize my website. Then the war happened and adsense terminated contracts with Russian publishers, took me half a year to find another ad network, but it is not nearly as good as adsense. I still make odd $300-500 monthly, which is nowhere near what I used to make, but what can a nigga do.This year I really got into vibe coding, integrated a bunch of cool APIs and other features for the website, but the userbase didn't seem to care much. I ended up pivoting and used the experience to build a crude trading assistant which I'm hoping to use for scalping. After 10 years of building the website I realized that hard work doesn't really pay off and positive sum game is a meme.
>>60919188What do you describe as a residential VPN?I find loging to anything google with a proxy as high risk. How do you know your assigned IP wasn't used for something nefarious? It just takes you loging in with it with your account and may risk some Google bullshit, from shadowban to getting locked. What about phone numbers? How many accounts do you use attached to the phone number? In addition, and most relevant, AdSense account. How many monetized channels do you run per 1 AdSense account successfuly with no views being throttled? I never found a way to get more AdSense accounts, so I don't want to risk mine. AdSense accounts require that you physically recieve the PIN to confirm it. So you need a real address. So you can only have one. This means you may have to involve third parties, which I don't want to for obvious reasons. So the only alternative would be, buying an AdSense account (high risk, if it's sold, it's probably because it's shit) and then some convoluted way involving the creationg of a company, an LLC or something, and getting an "Adsense business acount" but no idea about that, plus it would be dumb opening an LLC or any type of company unless you are making a lot of money already, because who wants to do that for some brand new channel or a channel that has some traffic but may be rugpulled at any moment. I would have tried that with my channel because it was stablished but you would be dumb to not have monetized your channel until it reaches that point so you need a regular AdSense account basically.>>60919351The hardest part is making the content. How do you make the content while avoiding copyright strikes? Specially politicall bs which is all copyrighted footage. Also do you have editing skills? I mean a guy like this has some minimal editing to it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqCgBcEg88sHow do you avoid getting copyright strikes from twitch streams? Same as if you do commentary on politics or whatever the fuck
>>60919502There's no way to make money on YouTube without having your accounts fully verified (at least with phone number, now burgers will need to take selfies too apparently kek) This is why I asked him about phone number too.>>60919921Is it possible to make make money from youtube views without AdSense? that doesn't involve affiliate links etc. I mean you mentioned you found another ad network. I have never done websites only YT, so I dont know, im asking if there is anything I could do with millions of views a month that have no money or interest in clicking anything so money can only be made with Adsense which is like 99% of traffic on youtube (12-25 year olds watching entertainment, nobody gives a shit about your affiliates unless you are famous and sell merch or some shit)>>60919430Probably same reason why YT allows inappropiate content on the platform for years before they do anything, or allows loopholes like jeets abusing admin accounts to monetize whole ass copyrighted movies. They profit from it.
>>60918757are you WhatIAltHist lmaooo bro you did it to yourself
>>60918347I need to 40x my savings.

>>60918360Ayyyy lmao.
>>60919421you deserve to lose everything
>TL;DRso is it possible to make any money on youtube starting from zero and without paying anyone to edit your shit?also what kind of content is the one I should be making rn?AI slop?Le traveling stuff?goon stuff?4chan caps posting like jeets do on twitter?
>>60921347Don't upload shorts you Will kill the larger videos reach.... The only way for you to succed making what you like is paying google ads and making 1 video atleast per week.
>>6091832923,000 subs here.Don't make YouTube your primary income source. The Google algorithm is a fickle bitch.$500+ one month, $10 the next. It's a side Hussle for most.Or they rely on other funding like Patreon.
>>60921869I'm gonna try not to be too intrusive with the questioning but I'm extremely curiousFrom your experience what should someone coming into youtube brand new choose to make videos on. Since it's already a very saturated platform, what worked for you?How long did it take you to get to 23k btw?was the guy up there right when he said posting shorts kills your actual videos reach?
>>60922039>From your experience what should someone coming into youtube brand new choose to make videos on.You have to corner a market and do things better than anyone else. For me, it was DIY car videos with excellent editing.>How long did it take you to get to 23k btw? Channel is 10yrs old, but 90% of my subs are from the last 4yrs.My market is small and niche. So no huge numbers.>was the guy up there right when he said posting shorts kills your actual videos reach? No idea.I've only made 1 short. What really helps is 1 video per week or 2.The algorithm of the favor you pretty aggressively if you follow that. But fuck is making 1 video a week hard, even if you had tons of spare time.I do 1 video a month usually.
>>60922160Gotcha, so it essentially boils down to what I always hear, niche it out, be unique and don’t just lazily copy/paste someone, stay as consistent as possible and don’t get demoralized out of making contentThank you for the honest advice, if you feel like dropping any more nuggets of knowledge I’m all ears. I was curious on what gear you use to record everything video and audio, if there’s a specific route you take as far as getting ideas for videos and how you schedule everything (into your daily life) from ideas to recording to editing to postingI’ve been messing around posting on IG (old /fit bro here from back in the zyzz days and big time /poltard), I get the recording and editing struggle from just making 10-30sec reels, I can only imagine 20-30min diy videos
Its literally impossible to make money with youtube if you haven't already started years ago and have tens of thousands of subscribers.Unless you are a hot girl with big tits and also talented just forget about it
>>60922421Don’t agreeI would the barrier of entry is exponentially harder yes, especially with AI, jeets and OF whores flooding the traffic, but not impossibleLike the guy above said, do it as a hobby/part time job. If you’re interesting enough that normies like you, you’ll grow and milk their moneyIf not then sucks to suck, better bet on some buttcorn and get some kneepads in the mean time
This thread makes me think good videos would be pearls before swine. Actually I'm guessing good videos wouldn't necessarily get much reach so you could have a tiny niche of random cool people watching. I've found some really cool guys with <500 subs.
>>60918329>Anyone here making money from YouTube videos? You need to be part of the tribe(tm) to do that.
>>60922160>What really helps is 1 video per week or 2.>The algorithm of the favor you pretty aggressively if you follow that. Not true. Guys like Internet Historian upload like once every x months. What matters is getting videos that are uber ranked so they bring in passive traffic.
>>60921268he doesn't sound nearly as schizo, but still kinda based.
>>60925775You absolutely cannot use internet historian or someone like JohnTron as references. They are the top 99.999%.I can tell you with absolute certainty. if you produce one to two videos a week consistently, the algorithm will favor you significantly. In some cases it'll double the view counts of your videos and the $$$ payouts.
>>60918329Post bobs
>>60926153Well i had mega ranked videos like them. I only needed to upload every month or so. In fact I havent uploaded in like a year and still get solid views. If you teach the algo that your channel needs constant videos you become a slave. Only NEETS like xQc and Asmongold and dogshit like that that can be scaled easily and mass produced is viable. Im not fucking editing 24/7 for this retarded platform when I was getting paid let alone now.
>>60926994And I can guarantee you weekly videos would elevate your channel to crazy heights. But that algorithm is fickle. One bad move and suddenly you have no views
>>60922421yeah I used to think that, then I would see channels less then 3 years old with 10M+ subs. It's literally never too late, the world is always hungry for content
>>60918347>And no, there are no other ways to make money but AdSense ad revenue. The rest is copewhy does every video out there have a sponsor nowadays thenare you actually telling me they are putting in 2 minute commercials into their vids for freesince you are that same anon that complains about being rugged by youtube for a while here without ever trying again i am really starting to think your content really was too toxic and you cant produce anything elseso without doxing yourself what was the actual content you made so we can evaluate your gripe objectively
>>60928306He 100% made slop for kids
Im a specialist in my field (IT) and hold the title of expert, but its a pretty simple subject (licensing and contracts) so I could probably pump out interesting videos about the sector. Tools to use, tips and tricks, getting started in the field (its super underrated), … and im narcissistic enough to film myself and talk to the camera about all of this bullshit, but i doubt i can do catchy visuals to make videos stand out. I wonder if it would be worth it. Probably get a lot of views from jeets trying to get into the field.
>>60918329I remember making my first 100 bucks when I was about 13/14. I have a few thousand subs and a few videos that went over a million in views.Problem, art of choice was animation. It's a HUGE time sink, and I made retarded decisions in life where instead of just going full blast on that, I decided to go out and have fun. Then real life hit me and I had to work regular jobs to stay afloat. Now I have a wife and kid so it's even harder. This is why I'm trying to make it through investing. All I wanted was to animate and make art, now I can't without it sacrificing my paycheck.
>>60928359even slop for kids gets by or you can tweak it a bit if needed, there is so much garbage on thereno this anon comes here for a good while now, its always i need to 4x my 500k eurinos that it has to be especially bad for it to not be fixable and he not able to do anything else on youtubenot to mention it always remains his 500k if he simply invested it in the many opportunities he would be a lot closer to his goal already
>>60928306the rates for most channels are dogshit and introducing ads lowers your reach and gets you lower ctr = less views, you are better off optimizing for more views = more money from adrevenue>why does every video out there have a sponsor nowadays thenbecause they are greeding cunts. adding shitty sponsors is what actually toxic unlike my content so kys>>60928359cope more faggot>>60928592not the same guy and i made 100k last year from mstr. if the content was bad the youtueb would have deleted it but i keep getting millions of views and they place ads on the fucking videos, start calling out youtube for this scam and not me dumbass

If you do voice ai commentary bullshit, you probably use cuts like cc patrick, otherwise how the fuck would you keep enough retention? i dont think comentary channels with gameplay work in 2025. people want to watch some faglord reacting to something with the camera on.>>60932124it's obviously nerfing the reach of the video since by skipping you are lowering the retention and watchtime, and you never know what the treshhold was to get more recommended views. it may not be a lot but you never know with the fucking algorithms so imo you cannot gamble wihth retention and watchtime. unless you are getting paid a fuckton of money like big influencers like bald and bankrupt or that german faggot kurt fag and so on. that shit is just annoying. greedy ass niggas getting enough money from ad revenue and they ruin the videos with ads. so if you ruin the video at least get paid a lot.
