I built a website just for affiliate sales some years ago... building the website all in was like 60 hours of work which I accomplished over 2 weeks. Within 1 year I was driving $300/mo in revenue.

I felt like to keep it up (traffic-wise) I would likely have to continuously build on the website and I really didn't want to spend more time on it for $300/mo so I wound up selling it for like $1500. Absolutely retarded move.

I feel your pain mate, I have been self employed for over 15 years making websites and getting paid via adsense etc and google has absolutely shafted me and many others with ai. The top is well and truly in. Google search for example now gives you answers directly scraped from websites and reddit that are all botted / using ai. It's essentially eating itself and training on this. All the ai models have already consumed every piece of real human content so it's now training on spam essentially.

i use my own voice, but read off an ai script, then just re-edit the video a bunch of times. very minor stuff just taking one segment, remove a second, put it a minute later kind of deal. Do that 20 times or so and export with slightly different settings and duration and you get to your 100 vids no problem.

I find trends by scrolling through youtube shorts for an hour every now and then. One thing that is working really well for me is taking some shit politicians said a year ago and then making the vid sound like its some breaking news recent shit and the boomers fall for it by praising how great party X is for doing that. You can also do a search on generic terms add "before: 2024" then reuse ideas people did years ago. Attention span is fried so use it in your favour.

In the past I used adsense to monetize my website. Then the war happened and adsense terminated contracts with Russian publishers, took me half a year to find another ad network, but it is not nearly as good as adsense. I still make odd $300-500 monthly, which is nowhere near what I used to make, but what can a nigga do.
This year I really got into vibe coding, integrated a bunch of cool APIs and other features for the website, but the userbase didn't seem to care much. I ended up pivoting and used the experience to build a crude trading assistant which I'm hoping to use for scalping. So you can only have one. This means you may have to involve third parties, which I don't want to for obvious reasons. So the only alternative would be, buying an AdSense account (high risk, if it's sold, it's probably because it's shit) and then some convoluted way involving the creationg of a company, an LLC or something, and getting an "Adsense business acount" but no idea about that, plus it would be dumb opening an LLC or any type of company unless you are making a lot of money already, because who wants to do that for some brand new channel or a channel that has some traffic but may be rugpulled at any moment. I would have tried that with my channel because it was stablished but you would be dumb to not have monetized your channel until it reaches that point so you need a regular AdSense account basically.
