I cannot afford a house and I feel the only way I will be able to is if my boomer parents in their mid 60s drop dead early so I get inheritance. How do I get early inheritance?
Your relationship with your parents is priceless. You're never going to make it with this point of view.
Boomers will spend their last dollars on hospice, casinos, cruises, pointless medical procedures...anything that doesn't benefit you. Oh, and they'll vote to take more from younger generations every step of the way. You have to make it on your own.
>>60921725this is my fear I will get nothing. I have to split with my sister regardless. They are in mid 60s. fat . sedentary. They retire next year. But I want gibs early. They have 2 houses and probably will sell one of them in the next year or two. But I feel like even asking for help will be pointless
>>60921647>maybe get hit by bus and develop permanent disability?
>>60921758>I have to split with my sister regardless.how old is she? is she cute? from a brother pov obviously... or not hahaha but no seriously please tell me she's cute
Power of attorney
You could be like me instead with no inheritance at all. Anyways, why are you counting on inheritance when you're capped on how much you'll get? Don't you have much higher aspirations in life?
>>60921758I'm sorry, did I scare you? I did not mean to scare you please forgive me, I was just curious about your sister and if she sas cute and young, but you don't have to answer really (unless you want to which would make me glad :) )
Your parents can live another 20 years, you can be a home owner in your 50s
>>60921658This. No matter how annoying they are they're blood. Would rather be homeless than wish death on my pop.
Actually ignore my comment If you have noticed recently western governments are changing laws around old age careMy grandfather died last year, but my grandmother got to keep the house without having to sell it to pay for his medical care, his age pension paid for the old care home he was in for 1 yearBut the rules changed this year where I live starting in 2025, if you go into a care home, you must give a deposit of $500,000 to the care home, your family only gets it back if you die early and don’t cost much, so maybe they take $50k/year out of that $500k, so if your parent is in a care home for 5 years, you’ll only get back $250k of the depositThey’re doing this now because the government doesn’t want fund the old age care anymore via the pension system, that is now coming from the assets you ownSo don’t expect there to be much of an inheritance in the future if your parents end up requiring full time medical care in a care home, their assets will have to be liquidated to pay for this stuff, as governments are dropping these social aged care programs in every western country
>>60921647I understand your thought process, I would be retired if I got even 25% of my inheritance. However, this mindset of indirectly wishing on your parents dying is not good anon. >>60921725Cruises are the ones that scare me the most.
>>60921647At this point, I'm just waiting for the boomers to die so that the world can start to become fairer or easierFor now, I'll just have to put up with my kek and avoid getting fired by my boss for screwing up the printer
>>60922100The world wont become fairer or easier Boomers wealth will mostly all be going to the government and billionaires lobbies who have bribed all of our governments to do what they wantThings are only going to get much much much much worse
>>60921972Not OP, but I have a cute sister
>>60922326how old? is she your younger sister (better known as imoutos)? god you're so lucky anon, you have to cherish her and love her (not in a romantic way (only if you want of course hahaha you're free to kiss her on the lips))
>>60922100>so that the world can start to become fairer or easierFrend, you have absolutely no idea what's coming. The boomer die off will usher in an age of bloodshed like we've never seen
Personally I have given up. The only move is not to play etc..fuck this scam
>>60923214Nothing will change if you give up anon
>>60921998>Would rather be homeless than wish death on my pop.I see a lot of people who inherited let's say a few million say they would "give it all up in a heartbeat for one more day with dad", and I can't help but wonder "Would you, really?" It's so easy to say it, but would they do it? My dad died 13 years ago and I inherited about 500k. Would I give it all up for one more day with him? Lol no. One more week? No. One more month, one more year? I really don't know. And it scares me a little, maybe all the other people are lying, or maybe I'm a sociopath. My dad was a good guy btw, didn't hit me or anything. I never wished him dead, but I wouldn't give up my inheritance just like that.
At least you got inheritance. All I got was debt and a bunch of bad memories.
>>60923457>All I got was debt and a bunch of bad memories.Okay, yes, but would you give all of that up for one more day with dad?
>>60923522LOL no they were useless as fuck. I can only imagine they're constantly begging other unfortunate souls in the afterlife.
>>60921647If your parents loved you, they are each allowed to give you 15k per year tax-free.
>>60923532>Would rather stay in debt than spend a single day with his dead parents. Ngl that's pretty based anon.
>>60923591No because they'd be begging me for cigarette money.
lol how about just buying a house like everyone else and not being a poor loser?I am a single guy, bought my first house when I was 27 ten years ago and just bought a lake house this year, it’s easy if you aren’t a poor loser
>>60923596I can only afford my 2 bedroom apartment located on the 4th floor.
>>60923608Stock, crypto and even precious metals are hitting all time highs right now, we have had the largest bull run the world has ever seen and you are still poor? Sounds like you need to learn how to invest
kill your parents/thread
>>60923630>investI got 3 bands in my acorns account and 3.5 bands in BTC. there is no saving anything or significance on my $16something/hr wages.
>>60923630>I took a risk and it worked out great for me so everybody else only has themselves to blame for being poor.
>>60921758that's a shamethe reappraisal will double the property taxes. that could have gone to you as a nice investment property.
>>60921647If you're lucky you get one woman who will love you unconditionally. Once she's gone you will never experience true love again. Maybe don't rush to lose that. Life doesn't get better after your mom passes.
>>60923650>picUhhhhh
>>60923969Sorry I'll post something a little close to home.
>>60921647I am definitely going to make sure I spend every last dollar or donate estate to charity before I die because I know that most kids probably feel this way. I’ll let them know early on so it’s not a shocker. Thanks for reminding me OP to update my will.
>>60923630>Stock, crypto and even precious metals are hitting all time highs right now, we have had the largest bull run the world has ever seen and you are still poor?I keep wondering the same thing. I only got into crypto in early 2021 and immediately made it with SHIB (an extremely obvious bet at the time). Now have a house, car and plenty left over to never have to work again. It's hard to believe that there are poorfags who have been here for over a decade and still haven't made it with all the golden bullruns we've had. It's insane.
>>60924028Its a gamble. Cant afford to lose much of anything.

>>60921647Boomer here. Young man what are you doing messing around on the internet in the middle of the day? When I was your age I paid off my entire college by bagging groceries for $3/hr. Now that was hard work, something your generation knows nothing about. I also bought a 1970 Camaro for $3,000 brand new that now goes for $150,000 as a collector's item. If you're looking for some extra cash, you should come by and wash it. I'll hover over you and let you know if you miss a spot. If you're in the market for a house, I have mine passively listed for $1.3M and won't accept a penny less. It only needs a few hundred grand of work to get back to livable conditions. Interested?
