Gee it's almost like there's this new technology that automates a ton of your internal processes, and it's almost like ANZ is an early adopter of it.
Total. White collar. Annihilation.

The thought of this did cross my mind. Surprisingly hes a spic, doesn't seem to have kike heritage or its erased

>“We are operating in a rapidly evolving and highly competitive banking environment,” Matos said.
>“As we continue our strategic review, we are eliminating duplication and complexity, stopping work that doesn’t support our priorities and sharpening our focus on improving our non-financial risk management practices across the bank.”

When you have ai oracles and compliance as easy as using the Chainlink runtime environment, you don't need all the compliance mid managers

>time for the 800 chainlink employees to be dispersed across all major banks
kino.

Making lawyers obsolete was always the main selling point of LINK for me

Fuck those leeches

>The job cuts to take place by next September are the first major changes ordered by Matos, who joined ANZ in May
>The bank is due to release a strategic review on October 13.
>"When the FSU asked ANZ who will actually do the work of the 3,500 sacked staff, the bank had no answer, except to say the work will simply stop,"

Couldn’t this just mean that they are downsizing?
>>
>>60923081
no change to customer facing roles suggests they are not
>>
>>60922864
I would be bullish if I didn't know better
>>
>>60923081
we would see a lay off in every type of role if that were the case, but they are mainly just laying off consultants. because they are no longer needed.

ANZ foot soldier here.

Matos definitely shaking things up right now. I'd be worried about my head being on the chopping block if I was an exec/senior leader right now.

My personal take (again this is completely personal) is that he's here to be a fixer up. His wife and son is in Hong Kong finishing up school. Eldest son studying finance or something overseas (doing something crypto related which ANZ doesn't have appetite for anymore btw). He rents in Melb solo. Had pretty much zero connection and network to Australia before his role. And only went for the ANZ role after he missed out on being ceo of HSBC.

So yeah, doesn't strike me as a person staying here for the long term. And this is not bullish for Chainlink...Sorry guys.

anon if your higher ups at anz aren't telling you about chainlink its because it's going to take your job.

Don't believe everything you hear in crypto mate. Banks are nowhere near as enthusiastic as you think, but founders making big money from lavish tales definitely are. I do hold a little bit of LINK though.

What about the Suncorp merger? You had 3k duplicate cunts around for exactly 12 months

Why would they tell a guy they plan to fire?

Suncorp now being migrated onto classic. Plus is no longer doing any product development- funding cut by 65% for next financial year. Plus home loans is being paused and no longer promoted or distributed. Maile and Nuno "highly combative" relationship in EXCO meetings. Workforces for front-line to be merged in together and front end Plus app with existing bank to be slowly migrated once everyone can get their shit together. Retiring for non exec roles rumoured to be because they keep their bonuses for financial year. Head of Plus also moving in next few weeks.

Working at ANZ is like working under a dictatorship. eg, Leadership supports speak up culture but if someone really dares to speak up especially if Infront of the wider team, they will come and hunt you down. another eg, national big call, leadership never address the hard but much needed questions and now they ask you to turn on your camera and show your name before you ask questions, guess what. No more questions.... Happy days.

>and I have a deep conviction in my balls that LINK is one of those opportunities.
I've thought the same thing back when I read research papers of neural networks and saw those same authors getting bought by nvidia
I was right like 3 times in my life sofar predicting something and chainlink is the first one I actually invested in because I had capital, would be shitty if I was wrong but I'm up 10x sofar so all seems good for now
