Full time work is demolishing my soul and waging will never be enough for me to truly make it since I live in the 8th circle of tax hell and wage progression will take decades. Starting a business is completely out of the question, I just don't have the drive or talent, and most fail anyways.

Im 31 and thinking of just calling it quits in a year or two when I hit 150k and just chilling from there doing some brainless night part time gig for 2 days a week. I have a cheap rent, no debt, car is paid off and cost me next to nothing to own.

I could easily do anything I'd ever fancy doing with a full time wage, except the obvious like buying a dumbass house of course or even more stupidly have children.

The societal contract is completely broken and there is no real incentive to play anymore, the system is completely rigged against us and AI hasnt even really been rolled out yet. Anyone comfymaxxed in here done something similar?

Oh just fucking deal with it you pussy ass faggot

Can you buy a cheap property (with mortgage to retain your current investments for compound growth) and pay it off over the next 10-15 years to replace that rental? If you had a home that was mortgage free and $150k cash then you would have options, but as it stands you just don't have enough money.
>>
I lost all motivation to start a business or progress my career when I hit 7 figs.

When I finish my current job I don't think I'll have the motivation to even find another.

I am dealing with it? Did you read my post?

My rent is $650 and its annually capped at 2%. Its in a favorable location and I like the place. Paying off a mortgage over the next 10-15 years would swallow my cash flow entirely. The loan rate, taxes, maintanence and insurance would be much more than my rent and thats before paying off on the principal. What do I not enough money for? Is it because you assume my rent is going to explode in the future?

Disregard the aggressive demoralizers, anon
They're projecting their own shit worldview everywhere because they're trapped in a propaganda cage without a lock or even a door.
They choose to stay there, but you don't have to join them
Let them be

Checked
You sound burnt out (or on the cusp)
If you want to chill out with fewer responsibilities for a minute to rethink where you want your life to be, do it. Hustle and grind is good if you have a goal, otherwise you'll just be grinding yourself into the dirt

Stop acting like a child. An adult's purpose is to work.
