Finance sector, particularly in the US, is what will decide the future of crypto, and Bitcoin in particular. It won't happen under Trump, but if a populist Democrat wins in 2028 and decides to stop banks from investing in crypto then they will dump huge amounts in catastrophic fashion, and with nobody waiting to step in and buy the dip you could quite well see BTC fall back to being worth a few grand at best.
