Is buying a pizza using monthly installments really worth this much?
What happens to Klarna if people just, stop with their payments?
>>
if americans are financing their pizzas the idea of being the richest nation is one huge larp

There is legit no point in investing in essentially startup IPO cash grabs when you can buy crypto which has magnitudes of order of more speculative potential OR just buy proven beast mode companies like NVDA which are going nowhere but up for the foreseeable future.

I'm pretty sure this company is for stuff like "I left my card at home but I have my phone still" types of situations.

It's probably overvalued, but for sure is going to make money because any company that sells a credit card and manages its own assets smartly is going to see consistent long term profit.

Its for "i dont have money but want to by this shit so take a loan for new clothes" type of situations

Klarna got big by being the payment processor for big online shops with delayed payment, often clothes or electronics

I think branding is a bigger deal for long term investments in consumer markets. Klarna's branding completely sucks. The name sucks and the purple sucks.

I could see if they get rid of the purple. Anything that looks too much like a clown is not going to succeed in the long term. If you think about what survived from the 80s and how many companies with sound business models didn't stick around it's because the branding itself didn't have any staying power.

Coca cola has that pop art look that never goes out of style. This is like clown and purple it will inevitably rebrand or fail. There are so many credit card companies that it's almost like which lifestyle accessory you want. Someone paying with a Klarna card might feel like a clown.

Culture has stagnated a little bit and so it's hard to predict what the next 10 years of fad is going to look like but this for sure does not have staying power.

Nah, companies like Klarna basically only make money when you don't have enough to pay your rates on time.

Got 32 shares (requested 225) sold immediately, made 400 bucks, put 100 dollars to paying credit.
