So I'm trying to figure this out. Rate cuts are bearish, but short term, their bullish? Are we supposed to see green days this September because of the rate cuts?

To the anon that bought 10k adobe ahead of earnings. What's your reason?
>>
>>60928173
i thought it kept cap gains the same, whats the change?
and that would be mega bullish after the short term profit taking
>>
>>60928162
It's quite simple really. Good news is good. Bad news is good. No news is good. High rates are good. Low rates are good. No available jobs is good. Too many available jobs is good. High inflation is good. Low inflation is good. War is good. Peace is good. Tariffs are good. No tariffs is good. Republican president is good. Democrat president is good. Everything is good. Only thing that is bad is the number going down. That is very bad and can never happen. Got it?

>>
>>60928112
I don't have time to elaborate now, maybe later, but the TL;DR version is:
My analysis says around 420.
Analysts are lazy pieces of shit who don't understand the business model nor the creative environment. Their main narrative it's been proven wrong since at least April (when I bought $5000 at 350 and sold at 420).
Insiders buying millions for months
Will see, it's the gambling money.

The inflation numbers are a lie anyways. I wonder why many people just see it as truth despite the reality saying otherwise. Yeah bruh houses are that much more expensive in just 5 years. Yeah bruh that bag of chips is nearly double the price. Oh that soda box? Yeah bruh 3x the price. Oh raw chicken? Why yes it did get over a 50% increase in just the last year alone. Lol if I said inflation numbers are a lie and the true number is higher I'd probabpy get looks like Im insane despite the numbers being right there on a receipt.

Vix (and uvix) options are based on the futures of vix, if you hold calls too long, apart from bleeding because of theta, you will have a magnified effect because of contango risk and the rewnewal of futures contracts, just do not hold them for too long. Plus if the volatility of the volatility goes down, vega fucks you too.

Trump wants to privatize it. When the government took control of it from the shareholders, it made the stock value plummet which falsely decreased its market cap. Meanwhile, under government control, the feds eliminated its debts, turned the company around, etc. all while the stock price was falsely low. Talks of selling it back to the shareholders is causing the price to rise towards what it should be valued at.

They aren't the same company anymore, they just poached the CFO? I think of Spotify to be their new CEO, brought back the Co-Founders a hedge fund gave them 40 million bucks. Basically, they will be an entirely new company and should be valued at this level as a New Carvana 2.0 speculation play.

establish a DCA system that you can live with regardless of outcome. maybe that's putting X amount in every month for the next Y months, with the rule of adding Z more if there is a decline, etc. in the long run it's not going to matter, but might as well be content with your decision in the short run.

That describes like 90% of us, not necessarily oil, but 99.99% of people should just be DCA'ing into the market broadly. It just doesn't feel as good as hitting a big run up.

It doesn't matter; the entire suit is $99 per month, less if you buy several licenses.
Companies spend more on brunch and coffee per employee per month, literally, because it allows them to keep the employees doing after-hours work voluntarily.
Adobe makes +90% of their income from a) millions of licenses to governments around the world at very high discounts (up to 80%) b) big companies on anything related to art, books, journalism, photography, advertising, video, FX, etc., where they are the standard to get any job (and taught in universities with free student licenses).
There's no alternative because Adobe has spliced their suite in a way that those companies are forced to buy the entire thing: there's competition to Photoshop, even free programs that can do 95% of what Photoshop does, but if you need to work with vector art, you have to go to Illustrator; if you want to give your text a professional look, you need InDesign; there's a similar situation in video, animation, sound, etc.
It's the same way with Autodesk in engineering software, but Adobe got hit hard because analysts saw AI pics and videos and thought that was the future, and also they had some bad press with their AI cloud service.
Meanwhile, pic related.
As I said it's a gamble, we will see if the results and the markets align.

They say that when new weapons are issued it's because someone expects them to be used, kids that were born in this century have known nothing from the news that isn't either dark or a degradation from something had previously. i'd say that's why the world is so polarized, despite us having the means to have a better life than we did at the start of the millenia. I don't know, if it really comes down to that, im going to buying canned food and gold with whatever money I have

Serious question. Is it a good day to buy some etfs with the news of the likely rate cut or would it be best to wait a little bit for a pullback?

I slurped big time.
I am a car salesman. People have lost all connection to reality lately.
Everyone coming in is rolling $6-12k of negative equity without a second thought, and many don't even care about the rate.

I have tried talking these folks into lower trim levels. The flat on a new vehicle (300$) is the same for me regardless at a volume dealership like mine.

They simply won't hear of it. Americans will not accept any decline in standard of living. I have an easier time getting someone into a used Lariat F-150 70k miles if they're driving a Lariat now (that's going to be 21% interest with their rollover and mid credit) as opposed to a base model at special rate or even 0% fin.

As soon as I heard about the premise, I bought in BIGGLY.

(as a side note Santander is the bank that slurps all our no chance hopeatron never getting approved customers (same at all the other dealerships in the state). When there is a credit crunch you should buy puts)

Gains are still gains. I do this :

Dca into vwce (europoor)
Run a pmcc (basically leap + call)
Reinvest premium into crypto
If I get rekt I simply stop dcaing and repay my margin debt

I will honestly never understand wanting a car payment. A mortgage is understandable. But I've never owned a car that wasn't payed in full and only a few grand.
My friend just got his car paid off recently and it runs perfectly well and only a few months later he's talking about how he wants to buy another car. I'll just never understand. Why would you WANT another monthly bill with interest?? This country really is gigaconsoomerland

This. I financed my last vehicle at 1% and have already paid it off; it would've been silly to buy it outright instead of investing that money. But being one of those people who have a new car every few years while also not having a pot to piss in, that's another matter altogether
