What would you do if you had a 10-year old son and he behaved this way?
This is happening because you, the most important man in her life, are not setting a good example for her to follow. When she sees you go to work, her brain thinks "oh, go work make money ook ook good good", but when it comes to her doing the same thing, she doesn't know the route to a fulfilling career (or even to becoming a talented stay at home wife). Stuff like dog coaching is a substitute for "I want to go to college and become a veterinarian" or whatever. It's the halfhearted, 2% version of that, because college costs lots of money which she doesn't have, and dog coaching for $310 sounds far more reachable even if it's a crummy skill in reality. What you should do is guide her into a career or into doing stay at home wife stuff, because she clearly has feelings about what she wants to do, but won't take the risks necessary to achieve what she wants (or what you want). THIS IS HER CALL FOR HELP. DON'T IGNORE IT. Some people simply have weak constitutions that don't allow them to chart a course toward risk, and they need someone (you) to help them do it. Whether she's lazy or anxious regarding the whole do-nothing daily routine, something as mundane and stupid as dog coaching is a small step in the right direction which you should heed.
And just to add onto this, don't dig on pet-related "careers". If you're a skill-less idiot, something like dog grooming is actually decently lucrative. Much of the money not flowing into childcare because children are expensive and "a big step" instead flows into pets. Your girlfriend has made a calculus about that but needs you to bounce ideas off.https://www.marketplace.org/story/2025/06/09/in-eagle-mountain-utah-most-businesses-are-inside-homes7:00 for the dog salon. "I was making more money than my husband's plumbing job"
>>60929411She's looking for guidance and you're not giving her any. You either need to figure out how to get her a real career or fabricate an Etsy/eBay business to keep her busy. I keep mine busy by using Google lens to identify junk at garage sales. Lens can tell you if a collectable plate is worthless junk or a rare $100 piece. She's pretty much autonomous at this point, which is great. Granted, mine didn't get this way until she went stir crazy after the first year of being a SAHM.
>>60929928Big brain post. Op is fucked. She’s too far gone and sees him as provider. No woman should ever be so comfortable as to do what OP describes. Beta guaranteed.
>>60929411Maybe you need to take some class on how to become a girlfriend coach, anon
>>60929411How to make a dog happy -[ a professional coaching course ]-lesson 1: give the dog foodlesson 2: throw a tennis balllesson 3: pet the dog lesson 4: say good dog...
>>60929411>does she even have a job?
Being a husband to a stay at home wife sounds like an absolutely cucked position. You exchange your time and all your energy to get money while she just lazies away at home doing nothing productive. Even if she takes care of the chores, that’s two hours of work a day max. I’ll stick to fucking different kinds of pussy rather than just paying for someone’s neetdom.
yea, i'm the one scamming her
>>60929862This is partly true but I'm not sure it's your fault exactly, as I was in a similar situation and I have always demonstrated a good example and encouraged her to do many proper upskilling courses which didn't happen. The thing she actually wanted to do but lacked the capital for was opening her own retail business. She eventually found a very cheap location and got started with a barebones shop that has grown since. It's still not greatly profitable but also doesn't lose money.Does your gf have a dream that just feels out of reach? If so, break down what she'd need to do to start as a MVP just to get it going and show how it can grow from there. She's doing these retarded courses because she's spinning her wheels not knowing what to do or how to get started.
