Thinking about getting into some light day trading, just to test the waters. I want to be fully educated before I go for a dip, though. What are some tried and true learning materials that explain the ins and outs of trading? >inb4 gambling>inb4 90% of people lose moneyI'm aware, that's why I'd like to educate myself first.
fucking weird book to read for daytrading, touristfren
>>60930157economics in one lesson by henry hazlitt is a good short book, its not about trading though. i read half way through intelligent investor but realized it doesnt apply to anything in the modern world. its more for boomer investing in the 60s, 70,s 80s, where you could buy and hold anything and make money. all good day traders use insider information, if you not in an in group then you should learn about macro economics and wealth cycles from mike maloney
>>60930160no, thats the book i read back in college. it was a great tool for long term investment. OP is just an example of good learning material for a specific subject.
>>60930181Appreciate it>insider informationCould you elaborate a bit more on this?
>>60930157there's really no way to learn except to put your own money on the line and do it. paper trading is okay too.my picks:>reminiscences of a stock operator>the intelligent investorreminiscences is more about the psychology of trading and how shit is the same now as it was 100 years ago, the intelligent investor is about investing.
>>60930198>reminiscences of a stock operatorThanks>no way to learn Colleges don't offer classes? There aren't text books that go over all the acronyms, terms and strategies? For example, what software to use, how the tool works, a step by step process introduction to how you actually purchase puts or establish shorts or any of that kind of shit?
>>60930211holy shit you've gotta be underage b&, open a brokerage account and figure it out.
>>60930157>wants to trade>posts book on value investing
>>60930211The fact youre asking this here when you could just google a tutorial on the fucking thing using the internet that youre using to post here is telling.
>>60930295found the investopedia simulatorthanks anyway
>>60930320just figured id mine /biz/ for any hidden gems. you guys are always so helpful
>>60930330Farming /biz/ for "gems" implies you learn intuitively by lurking and then looking up stuff elsewhere if you need context. Your OP doesnt really imply that. Youre asking to be spoonfed basic shit rather than doing it yourself to allow yourself to properly understand the content on the board. For instance youre asking this shithole for 'materials' when you couldve just googled the fucker and gleamed that its a complex thing by its very nature. Its such a broad meanignless question that youre rightfully getting the piss taken out of you.
>>60930356well, i found this last night by asking and a friendly anon gave it away for free. i doubt I would have found this by just googling. there's 10k youtube talking heads for every subject and Wikipedia is too general to be of any use. and you're right about the intuitive and looking shit up later partalso found this to be helpful as well, its leading toward other routes of learning. i suppose the op does come off as autistic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLgdXZnLL_0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a07fvtvpoUw&list=PLvmAt1btDCI2oLs7cWGdRbvYjaVU0MZFJdid these not post?
>>60930433Its more the fact you could have just googled stock/crypto whatever exchanges for whatever asset you want to trade in, then look up how indicators, graphs etc. work and use investopedia as youve discovered to study the basics further. At that point asking about specific tradies strategies or making a meme lines thread would garner actual discussion. Admittingly some of it will be shit but sifting through that is a more a learned skill than a taught one. In reality you just need to learn the mechanics of how stuff works and then decide for yourself after that rather than blindly trusting what some faggot on youtube shills or tells you to do word for word.
