> politicians discuss about VAT in my country> one only wants to lower it for certain products> other one wants to remove it entierly> "NOOO, you can't DO THAT"> "If you do that the economy will collapse"give it to me straight /biz/just how fucking fake is our economy if it requires a billion arbitrary modifiers to function?
>>60931268How much is VAT in your country. Siting on 24% here getting fucked.
>>60931347it's 19% for most products but there are some exceptions like food where it's only 7%
>>60931268>other one wants to remove it entierlyHow antisemitic :^)
Taxation is at best theft, at worse extortion under the threat of violence and deprivation of assets and freedom
The economy isnt, the government is, they cant function without having billions of arbitrary ways to milk the citizens, and everytime they need more money they just add a new tax, thats the real reason for "green" policies, to add new ways to milk people, see the CO2 tax etc.
Hallo HansIn my country they are discussing not giving boomer pensions over 2500 (more than most people earn full time) the full generous inflation appropriate increase. Also there is a debate to tax income by the hour worked instead of yearly to make part time employment less attractive but that will never happen because it would entail leaving money on the table with the big earners that pay most income tax.
