I just realized that everyone that slaves in a 9-5 or some blue collar work would quit if they could make 500k just from passive income. Like it just hit me that all the people sitting in rush hour traffic or getting up at 5am would just quit their job and all the people saying
>but I love my job
>my job keeps me busy
are just coping.
>>
Like it doesn’t even have to be 500k, 300k is more than enough.
>>
>>60932116
You mean passive income from just 500k?!
>>
>>60932179
> make 500k just from passive income.

>>60932116
a big chunk of the workforce quit just from covid payments
you must not remember
this was a giant communist/antiwork scam then
they got a yr paid vacation and restaurant service was ass (largely still is)

nobody wants to work
it's not a surprise
the only "surprise" is that ubi types want to fool (j3w) you into thinking work is going to keep happening
>>
Capitalism is unironically shitty
>>
>>60932116
You know what I hate the mpst about this? The fact that a lot of these will call you a pathetic, lazy loser if you tell them you don't like to work. I mean those boomers who take pride in slaving away and think that a young man not wanting to work is bad.
>>
>>60932351
>Capitalism is unironically shitty
That's what national socialism is for.
>>
>>60932116
nope you're wrong i know people who acquired millions and get working what were essentially minimum wage jobs. Also know people who do wagie jobs who already had money. Also they volunteer. Some people legit like going to work. When you have money work is easier bc you dont have to stress about bills, taking time off, co-workers, etc.

I’m a doctor and i genuinely enjoy my job. If i just did nothing all day i’d essentially might as well not exist. Now i at least know i’m doing something very useful whenever i work and i’m keeping my brain sharp (brain starts anthroping just like muscles if it isn’t used).

Restaurants will never be the same after the scamdemic, good employees don't get paid a livable wage anymore so service quality drops. (Wages stay the same while COL jumped up) Most places sell the same US Foods/Sysco pre-made slop so it's not even worth your money to go out to eat anymore. Nevermind it's also a fucking ripoff for customers, $20 plus $8 for a mid burger with fries plus tip. In 20 years we'll look back how obvious it is these restaurants are barely clinging onto a unique pre-money printer pre-open borders demographic vision of the West.

lots of rich people still work every day
they could retire and live off passive income
why dont they?
>>
>>60932395
National socialism is just crony capitalism with a jumped up name. Heres how to speedrun nazism: Crush the unions, sell state assets to oligarchs for loyalty, kill all dissenters, start a war, move everyone into arms factories, scapegoat a minority and coast off of propaganda until you lose and collapse into a worse state than before, hoping your conquerors will invest into the rebuilding of your failed state to stave off the retardation that caused the whole mess.

Gay and shit.

Rich people that still work fall into three categories:
People that need constant work (someone telling them what to do every day or for the sake of appearances with peers) are NPCs. Some are better at the wagie system and that's how they get rich.
People who could also be overleveraged with debt while appearing wealthy on the surface but cant quit because they need W2 income to qualify for a mortgage or car payment. To retire with passive income would be decreasing their quality of life in some capacity.
Finally the rich wagie that seeks out power in their community and can only derive it from their employment. When they're older they'll get fufil their power fantasy from running the HOA but mid-career they simply want to rule over other poorer wagies in some capacity.

So external validation, debtslave or internal validation.

What category does doctor anon fall into? Internal validation? Without a job he feels he would cease to exist. Perhaps a sign of derealisation/depersonalization? If chronic working is accommodating an anxiety around status or personhood, could a form of therapy be beneficial to chronic workers?
>>
>>60932684
its not about doing nothing. its about not working. i'd read, learn a new instrument, exercise, travel, live my life, etc.
>>
many rich still work in some capacity because most are too capable to be content with pure hedonism
the difference is they can be selective. they are not choosing waitress, dmv employee, trashman, cab driver, auto mechanic, ...............................................................
they may larp as a farmer
they choose things that are:
*innately rewarding
*high compensation
*powerful
etc
the bulk of the economy is not that

plus many workers actually would play vidya or scroll
the economy is definitely, 100% not going to work in any recognizable capacity if workers had the choice. workers don't want to work because most work sucks
>>
>>60932888
Checked. Likely external validation, calling yourself a "doctor" to others is the largest reason people bother with all the extra school and long hours. He'll reply to this saying that he enjoys helping patients but he actually just enjoys saying that phrase. Likely he feels helpless without work because he has no academic or recreational pursuits outside of work (not blaming him, medical hours are shit); those hobbies could "keep his brain sharp" better than working.
Going forward I think his best therapy should be learning from NEETs on here that don't spend their entire waking moments gooning or vidya; reading the daily routine of retired anons that actually take charge of their situation would shed light on an alternative to the wagie mentality.
>>
>>60932916
being a dr is probably highly rewarding
ive considered it and i am "retired"
help people, high prestige, high pay, intellectually engaging
if it wasn't for the med school requirement i would give it a try
>>
yes I would quit in a heartbeat. I worked 280 hours last month for the Govt to take half of it as tax. it is literally modern slavery. you spend half of the hours you work, working for free for a government that actively hates you. And the kicker is if you don't work for free for the government they will incarcerate you at the barrel of the gun. I hate the government. I am sick of being a slave. Income tax is slavery.
>>
>>60932386
They already gave away their whole life and are in pean earning years and peak status years in the workforce. Why would they want to tear down the system now?
>>
Yeah work sucks but there is plenty of work behind making the comforts of society roll.
>>
>>60932116
the average salary of the wealthiest nation on the planet is like 60k/yr the fuck you on about 500k. most would say fuck working with 80-100k/yr
>>
>>60932224
When ubi happens, the people receiving it will literally become human cattle.
>>
>>60932800
How many rich people? Example and job type? And yearly income?
>>
>>60933193
I think if humanity has a future it is basically to be farmed for opinions to keep AI from going insane
>>
>>60932421
Okay tell me about the job and the yearly income of the job. And networth of person if you know.
>>
>>60932853
> Some are better at the wagie system and that's how they get rich.
This is true. Especially in big cities and I think a lot of East Asians especially Chinese are like this. In my 20 years of schooling in Canada, the top performers in school has always been Chinese and more specifically someone from Hong Kong.
>>
>>60932351
>>60932386
Yeah it's better to just play vidya all day and never go outside.
>>
>>60932684
My boy, I am retired and let me tell you something, there is STILL not enough time in a day.
If someone is retired and has high income, there is still not enough time in a day.
>>
>>60932386
> The fact that a lot of these will call you a pathetic, lazy loser if you tell them you don't like to work.
Who will? lol. Because a lot of online comments are anti-work.
>>
>>60932800
How much is the passive income and what job did they get back into?
>>
>>60932950
It takes a certain type of person to be a doctor. I am not going to say “smart” but not everyone can even simply study so much.
>>
>>60933222
If you can afford to, sure, why not? Doing that in 2025 is a luxury.
>>
This is gonna sound crazy but I was talking about a story idea on /adv/ and some anon was like "Are you an insider because this movie is going to be coming out soon and it's crazy you wrote this? I work in the industry." And it turns out it's the movie The Walk, and it's about being in the contemporary capitalist system. "We set the pace, there is only one winner, there is no finish line". When I was thinking of this idea I was inspired by one of the early tests in Hunter x Hunter, but mixes with the lost western sport of race-walking, but as a critique of our current system. Thank you for reading.
>>
>>60933199
Also, I think most people contribute nothing already when it comes to paying taxes so they are already semi-cattle because the rich pretty much subsidize everything.
When ubi kicks in, and the majority of people own nothing and are happy, they become actual cattle. Like cows that live free on a farm and are content.

It was socialism in that if they won the wars wealth would have been distributed from the losers. Towards the end of their reign the nazis were building state funded vacation resorts and lots of stuff that would have been available to the common worker that would have made anything the communists ever did except their metro stations look like late stage capitalism.
>>
>>60933726
What? I am retired. I literally have 24/7 to shitpost.
>>
>>60933714
I think the nazis would have been considered mercantile interventionists with a socialist safety net with the goal and necessity of conquering the world.
>>
>>60933726
It helps what? I make more sitting around all day than most people make in a week.
What else should I be doing? Tell me.
