Is it worth it to buy a house or should I just keep renting? I don't expect to ever get married or have kids.
>>
Personally wouldn’t buy if I didn’t have a family. You could be traveling to foreign countries for weeks at a time you lucky SOB.

Unless you're the type of person to move around a lot buying is generally more advisable than renting if you have the ability as long as you can maintain a positive equity position.

I figure I can invest moar if I keep renting, but perhaps I should buy something eventually.

The only reason i own a house is because i want multiple kids with my wife. I want to be able to give each kid his own room.

If you're single, buy the shittiest and smallest possible studio apartment in a reasonable location (that allows a quick commute to where you need to go). As soon as you aren't paying rent anymore, your equity will start building up.
Then you will have enough money saved when it's time to buy a house.
Every human wishes to live in a house they own. It is the natural way to live.

if your single and childless, buying a house is a great way to make sure you remain that way
>dating pool fixed to single location
>career growth fixed to a single location
>no natural scenarios to meet marriage-material people unlike apartments

Yay I love spending money to visit browns and be exposed to their pan resistant bacteria

> Keep renting, receive = Nothing.
> Buy house, receive = Equity.
Jee, you tell me?

Renting is gay and you can't even paint the walls whatever colour you want. I've made 200k on my house in 6 years and selling it now. which for a normal person is a lot

Renting is okay if it's short term. Otherwise have fun being subservient to your jewish landlord.

You're still paying for these, even if you don't get a line-item invoice for them.

On the other hand, there is the off chance that you'll make good friends with your settled-down neighbors, get invited to their bbqs, and have them set you up with their single friends since they recognize you are a responsible adult that has their shit together. All dependent on whether or not you're a sperg, though.

You don't own your home in America anyway, might as well live cheap with no illusion of "ownership".

Downsizing?
You didn't 'make' anything if you have to pay exactly want you 'made' selling to to buy the next one lmao

Neither fuck both, anon I'm gonna give you a tip:
>Live in your car, tutorial youtube on how
>Get cheap gym membership with shower/sink
>Buy quick staple pot foods like: rice, beans, chicken, veggies. Drink tap water or tap with Brita filter (you can hook up to free water spout anywhere). Get extension cord to get electricity.
>>
>>60955730
>rent money goes to blackrock
>buy and some of that money goes back to you in the form of equity
unless for whatever reason you move very often buying is better long-term
>>

You're not missing out on much if you don't own a house. Many of the affordable ones are in horrible locations, and if you're not interested in having a yard for a hobby, then forget it. If I end up doing something good with my note.fun stuff maybe I'll buy an apartment, It's still less trouble than a whole house
