Just for a sec, forget stocks and BTC - Lets discuss ways to actually make money other ways! Re-Selling? Creating a Business? Pressure-Washing? Whatever it might be, lets talk about it here. I personally am doing this as of right now, semi-good and getting good money. >Re-Sell electronics and other goodsOften times people dont know what they have on their hands. Really Vintage Electronics that are still worth something, especially at Housing Clearances where I pay small money for valuable things. Just 6 months ago I bought lots of Vintage Electronics at a Clearance and sold everything one after another for a pretty big profit. But I want to expand and add more side-hustles, maybe even online? What are your experiences and ideas?
>>60982281we don't do that around here, please leave
>>60982468I mean it would be great to make a nice sum of money via Re-Selling for example and then put that money in Stocks or Meme Stocks! SEE, that sound better now for you?
>>60982281Profitable ideas require a profitable niche. If someone had a profitable niche they wouldn't share it with you. This board is dead though, so I'll share.AI vision tools are a game changer for reselling. You can instantly identify and appraise anything. You no longer need to be knowledgeable about anything. It can tell you if a collectible plate is $4 junk or a rare $100+ piece. If you're cycling through a lot of junk it's worth investing in a machine that makes those larger bubble cushions. Bubble wrap is a deceptively high cost if you need to have it shipped to you.
>>60982574Could you explain the AI Vision tool a little more? Thank you for your post of course! That sounds really interesting. What I do right now is use Google Lens (seems kind of old-fashioned already, kek) if I find something interesting in Housing Clearances for example. And you are so right about the Bubble Wrap for example OR even the Shipping Boxes - As I always have different dimensioned products I always search for suiting Boxes. As a private person, not always easy. But I kind of got it dialed in. The boxes and the wraps are pricey though, that is so true. Why is this Board dead btw? I mean Im not really interested in BTC or Stocks, but Business is cool...
>>60982592board is not dead, ranjesh is just pissed that jannies have cleaned up all the villages constantly dumping scams on /biz/
Based. Bump for later
>>60982800I remember being here often during the COVID-Era and I also remember LOTS of shilling of meme coins. Is that now gone?>>60982816Appreciate the bump fren. I mean I dont understand why the Side-Hustles dont gather more interest. Just imagine having a Side-Hustle that has a good monthly income for you and you can just put half of it (or more/less) into stocks/btc every month. But first we need those amazing Side-Hustles. Interesting also: Some Side-Hustle might work in the US, but not in Germany. And vice versa.
>>60982866They don't gather more interest because a lot around here already tried the side hustles route only to realize 99.9% of ideas (even including those not mentioned in mainstream circles like youtube) are oversaturated to hell thanks to covid making everyone an entrepreneur. It's literally you vs billions of others on this planet for literal scraps.I mean I badly BADLY wish there was a profitable subniche I can pursue but shit gets impossibly harder every year especially with mass layoffs adding even more to the wannabepreneur competition pool.Sigh.
>>60982953Man, that kind of bummed me down a little bit, kek. I think you are right with your sentiment, unfortunately. But still we have to realise that there are new and very successful Businesses every year and who knows - You and me - We could be the next ones that create those Businesses. A niche to find is not easy and sometimes its just enough to find something that works for someone else, twist it a little bit, make it a little bit different and go for it. To find something that DOES NOT exist at this stage is... hard. Nearly impossible.
I don't like the term 'side hustle'. Is it a business, or just a hobby? A run a few businesses that I created.
>>60983040I would say what I am doing right now is a Side-Hustle. I Re-Sell stuff that I find at regional Housing Clearances or I see on eBay that I can buy to flip. BUT - a real Business should be called a Business and then is not a Side-Hustle anymore, I agree. What kind of Businesses do you run?
>>60982592Google Lens is vision AI. if its working, keep using it. Or upload photos to chatGPT for analysis./biz/ started as a crypto-containment from /g/, so its roots are crypto. plus we're all tired of the same jeet bullshit coins. /pmg/ is where its at, and Sunday nights. Board is. ot what it used to be.
>>60983018Yeah I was super depressing with my description but it still holds true. Based on past failures it really boils down to how well you can market YOURSELF - whatever service or product you provide, nobody will notice it unless you're already somewhat known somewhere on social media, then your followers will buy at least some things off of you.But if you're selling on amazon or etsy, then sadly you have no choice but to go down some type of paid ads route. And again, your marketing game needs to be razor on point to stand out amongst adjacent competition.
>>60982953Entrepreneur is the business of the future. With AI and robotics coming online, the future is wide open. You must think bigger than you do right now.
>>60982953Then sell shovels? I would think an economy with more smaller businesses is actually easier to break into and find B2B niches than everything being monopolized, along with simply being healthier. What's over-saturated is being a grifter that doesn't actually provide any value. >>60983049A niche art supply product that I wholesale to distributors, a mushroom farm (pivoting to mostly B2B, not a fresh produce supplier), a consumable packaged product line derived from mushrooms (coffee, gummies, etc -- this one is still in the works and should launch this Spring) and some SaaS type software that I started earlier this year and am growing.Additionally, in the next couple years I plan to launch a mobile Neapolitan pizza cart (I'd provide the capital and consulting to a friend who does the labor and eventually takes over), a casual consulting business to help small businesses and a white label mushroom coffee manufacturing company. I'll probably try to sell off the art supply thing and maybe the consumable package line to focus more on mush biz B2B / white label and SaaS.My experience has been that the more you get into something, the more problems you see (which could be as simple as a market gap on mushrooms or eggs at your local farmers market, or more complex like seeing a shortage of white label manufacturing options in a given niche -- point being, the problems keep coming as you go and you see more and more business opportunities and become emboldened by success).
>>60983082it really boils down to how well you can believe in YOURSELF and/ or your PRODUCT or SERVICE. >FTFY.If you dont believe in it, why should I? Find that one thing that makes you get out of bed excited at the possibilities.
>>60982281Just resell things. That's what "business" means in the 21st century because all the production is done by gigantic corporations now.
I do a shit ton of repairs and renovations on my house and sometimes wonder if I could make decent money advertising myself as a small job handyman. I’m talking smaller drywall patches, outlet replacements, tv mounting, light fixture installs, etc. maybe some bigger carpentry or painting jobs if they seem interesting and I can bill high enough.I personally started figuring this stuff out because it can take ages to find someone to come handle super simple repairs around here. Lots of guys will flat out not return calls if the job is small. The bigger company that would take on these jobs usually charge $90 just to come give you a quote. My other idea is something music related. I play classical piano and could probably take a year building up a repertoire of pretty classical pieces and pop renditions that’d appeal to a crowd as background music. The musicians I do know personally work an insane amount to make maybe below 6 figures, so I doubt it’s really worth it.
>>60983168you could probably kill it in a senior community
>>60983091Thank you so much for your detailed answer, appreciate it very much! Sounds amazing as well, I love how you want to grow and use that Mushroom farm to create sub-products and man I wish you all the best with all your Businesses. That is basically what I strive for, but havent done YET. Im also interested in the niche art supply products, of course you wont and shouldnt tell me what it is - But its important to find a little little niche and then provide it. Wholesale can be gold. >>60983168I wish I would be handy, kek. Sounds great though my man, you could kill it with those small jobs. I have seen people advertising their work on Facebook for example, there are lots of groups in which you could offer your services. Good luck if you decide to do it, could be a nice Side-Hustle and grow into something bigger even. >>60983139I remember Dropshipping being a big big thing during Covid, whatever happened to that? Is that still something good?
>>60982281it's over
>>60983234>Im also interested in the niche art supply products, of course you wont and shouldnt tell me what it is -I'd tell you but don't want to dox myself or family. I got lucky and my grandma was an artist and developed a product in a niche industry, and just this year I was able to take over the business. It doesn't make much (less than $60k/yr gross), but it's just another layer of income security. I didn't know when I started how things would evolve but if you just get really deep into something, or as many things as possible, and just be willing to try anything I think you'll find something. Like even landscaping or something, you might find a little B2B niche or do lead generation, etc. I think just effort + time does a lot for a person. One thing I wanna do soon is just get a directory of vendors at various farmers markets, check out their businesses, and cold call ones without sites or with shitty ones. It'd be fun to work with so many small biz owners too and that in itself might generate leads for a product idea or business.
Protip. At the end of the day every business boils down to sales. Just pick something, literally anything, that every medium to large sized city needs and go all in on it. Could be roofing, junk removal, landscaping, car detailing, doesn't matter, because no matter what line of business you go into the thing that's going to occupy 99% of your time is going to be sales and getting customers. People have become multimillionaires and even billionaires off these types of businesses. No degree required.
Bump.I can’t believe we have a good thread on this board.
>>60982574>AI...dropped
>>60984044Checked.bump.
>>60982866I’m hoping to start a business, interested in clean food, but tough to do when on the move and not settled. Made herbal tinctures but haven’t marketed them at all
>>60982496You seem Indian so I won't participate in your thread.
>>60982281I’ve been buying and selling retired Lego sets and mini figures. I make about 30% - 50% profit on everything I sell. I could make more but as a born again Christian I don’t want to Jew anyone, I even pay more then asking if the seller doesn’t know what they have or there quick selling out of desperation.
>>60983386I would say you are doing very well for yourself, if one business (niche art) gives you that much coupled with your other businesses - Right on, man. Wish you all the best and more! I hope to do as good as you soon. :) >>60984013I completely agree with that. Its just not easy sometimes to start, lots of times there is money needed upfront (need a van maybe, products to do certain things etc.) and it can hinder the start. But I agree with you there and it varies from City to City, from country to country. What works in Germany, might not work in the US etc.>>60984616Herbal and "food stuff" is a great thought, but its not easy to do here in Germany. There are sooo many laws and restrictions which make sense but also hinder just starting a business like your idea. But go for it man!>>60984627Kek, English is my Third Language so it might seem weird at times but Im not a Pajeet. >>60984645This is a Dilemma I encounter lots of times. Just today I made a sale with a good profit. Paid for a YAMAHA Electronic 20Euros and I just sold it for 125Euros. Its a pretty good profit, but I sometimes think like you. At the same time we want to make the biggest possible profit... a Dilemma indeed. Im not a kike either, kek. Thank you for the Bumps by the way, great Thread so far and interesting to read ideas and motivation as well. This is what we need!
