Currently working at a grocery store to save up for college. I want to either study economics or business. But how would I know I actually like it? Should I go to a library and study books? Should I do an online accounting course?
How do you find out if you have an actual interest in a field?

Talk with people who practice this job and see if they think like you and see eye to eye with you.

No one has an interest in accounting. They just want a stable job with reasonable pay. Bonus - being a highly regulated field will delay AIs takeover.

You won’t
Accounting is the most faggot and womanly shit ever. Holy fuck I can’t believe I chose this as my career. Should have learned to code.

I want a boring normal job that you can follow like an autist. I am not autistic myself but something about boring ass paper works and following regulations by the book clicks with my brain.
I also like maths, playing piano and I work out a lot but mathematics degree is too demanding and you can basically only become an actuary. Rest of my hobbies is not a career choice.

Eh then you might be ok for it. Idk. It’s a lot of tedious work, lots of girl bosses, and a fuck load of deadlines.

Major in trumpet performance. It’s the only job AI won’t take. Practice everyday and stack PMs

I am quite muscular from being /fit/ and girlbosses have always been nice to me. I don't care about tedious work. Deadlines stress me out though.
Are the hours in accounting really that bad? I would prefer a standard 40-45h workweek.

i think you'd be suited for it

>accountant
>40-45 hr a week hehe
It’s one of those fields where you roll a dice if you work 10 hours a week easily or 80 hours a week on crunch. Basically during tax season and for quarterlies you will want to die but most of the other time it’s not too bad.

No one likes accounting. They do it for the money and stability.

Accountant here. They just announced AI is taking over all of our jobs. They brought a robot in the office and it's already asking me about my timesheets.

>oh yes, yes, practice trumpet every day

here's the official NEET anthem, complete with the emphasis on practicing your trumpet
