HOW THE HELL IS USA TIKTOK VALUED AT 1/3RD OF REDDIT? SHADY SHIT GOING ONhttps://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/25/trump-approves-tiktok-deal-through-executive-order.html
>>60993861Valuations are always made the fuck up.
>>60993861the only expensive thing in the valuation is TikTok's insane algo
>>60993861I agree it should be more.
>>60993861I'm a consultant and can admit we make up a shitload of assumptions when valuing a company. But it still seems very weird that Vance is doing that.
i havnt looked into much but i know when they first launched it was severely undervalued. pinterest had double market cap of reddit but reddit had more users and no one uses pinterest anymore.i think 43 billion market cap sounds about right but if pintredt is still 20 billion , now thats shady
microsoft wanting to buy pinterest for 50 million and user base not grew by 7% compared to reddit grew by 30%
>>60995567oh my bad i read reddit not tiktokbyetiktok worth 300 billion easy
tiktok is probably currently the worlds largest social media platform, whereas reddit is where people jerk each other off over their funko pops. it should be worth far more
maybe it has a lot of liability from paying content creators for advertising
so what publicly traded company is going to have the largest share of TikTok so I can invest
>>60993861Vine died because it didn't turn profit. Same with music.ly or something. Tik tok isn't much better the only value it has for china it allows to collect data from millions of Americans and effectively propagandise to children in foreign countries. For china it's valuable for America it's not because they already have thousands of data collection points.
>>60995959Most tech businesses don't yield any cash. Even your info is not really that valuable. Just like news media, it's al propped up by state actors for propaganda. There is no way all governments wouldn't get away with murder without paying for massive amounts of propaganda being fed daily to the population.
>>60995959>Vine died because it didn't turn profitIf it wasn't valuable, why did twitter buy it?
>>60993861wtf is "TikTok U.S."?I bet ByteDance will sell its part, get the money and abandon the US right after that lmao
>>60993861interesting that you think that means something shady is going on. I would value tiktok much higher then reddit.
The point of companies like this is to get government money to a be a spying/influence op.
>>60993861should be more than reddit honestly, reddit is a dumpster fire of bots
Amazon 3000BAli baba 400B
>>60993861Don't forget Elon spent like 50 billion dollars on Twitter OP!
>>60993861valuation for insidersif ti goes public, the price is another entirely
if anything reddit is undervalued
>>60993861Maybe Reddit was considered more valuable for AI training?
>>60993861Reddit users are notorious hard to monetize.
>>60993861TikTok has be used to coordinate and launch terrorist attacks to great effectReddit are only for losers who glue their hands to the road to save "the air"
>>60993861Because these companies monitor and categorize every keystroke and sell it
>>609938611. fake number2. its going to be shit, run by jews
