Absolute communism and absolute capitalism are both ends of a system doomed to failure. The United States is a mixed economy much like their political process, a Democratic constitutional republic. In a system where absolute capitalism happens, monopolization of trade occurs, slavery, the exploitation of workers, and lack of universal services happen. In an system where absolute communism happens, monopolization of trade occurs, forced labor, the exploitation of land rights, and lack of universal basic commerce happens.That's why the United States is truly the best country in the world to exist within. No system is perfect, but I would rather have the illusion of choice and basic guarantees of self preservation than trust the state that has committed such atrocities within our written civilization.

The core reasons are (1) it has no way to signal that production increases/decreases need to happen for certain goods, the central government just orders a certain amount to be produced, which means some shit gets overproduced and some gets underproduced, thus inefficiency, and (2) there is no provision for new technological improvements that make old tech either useless or undesirable, so inventors just sit around churning out crappy factory goods instead of inventing things.
