What's your minimal networth threshold for retiring /biz/ ?
>>
Im a wagie in Thailand so if i can reach 500k to 1m usd i should be fine.
>>
>>61015710
You are ethnically thai? Yeah 1m is pretty good but in Europe its not retirement if not alone. Its more eighter buy a house or work part time.
>>
50 to 100M
>>
2-5 million EUR at least.
Currently at 650k, I'm already very comfy with no financial worries, but would like to quit my job and never look back.
>>
>>61015700
100k
>>
>>61015700
$1M. I can use that to invest for passive income and live in a cheap CoL area.
>>
2 million liquid + paid off house for me. I don't need some insane salary but I have two kids so 80k/year would be stretching it after medical bills, insurance, etc.
>>
>>61015700
I would say around 2 million
>>
>>61015740
Nah a farang lucky enough to find a job there
>>
>>61016441
nothing just live and spend dont fall for the retirement meme, everyone dies randomly otherwise jumping off a bridge at old age is free

I don't want to retire, I want to live as a swing trader for the rest of my life. Once I hit 1 mill, I'll take out 100k every year and trade with the 900k left with an objective to make at least 15% a year compensating for the 100k taken. Continue until death.
>>
>>61016307
This.
With 2 million you can get $100k per year on a 5% return which is easy as piss to get assuming total global financial collapse doesn’t happen
>>
>>61015700
300k in fiat/stables
300k in btc
im pushing 50 and frugal af, if i run out of money at 70 ill just kms
>>
>>61015700
Retirement is a mirage. Just do a job you enjoy and which you feel gives back to society. Even if you don't die before you enjoy it, don't spend half your life being a miser and the other half failing to enjoy your riches.
>>
>>61017413
Nigger ever heard of equity?
>>
>>61015700
I don't want to retire. I just don't want to be an absolute poorfag pleb dealing with poorfag problems like how to pay for rent in some cuckshed. If I got a few mil I would probably work more, could focus on it better, and think more broadly about what I do, not just worry about how to make payments.
>>
just looked away for a second and we recovered

Once I make it with SATOSHI, PEPE and a few others, I guess I'll take 2 million. One million will be plenty to start a new life in a cheaper country, another million to live the rest of my life on said cheap country. I don't want to stay in this expensive shithole filled with detestable people forever.
>>
>>61016307
>>61017013
Agreed, $2m USD is retirement worthy. Especially if you move someplace cheap.
>>
im unironically going to work as long as i can to build net worth. given AI im not convinced 200k remote jobs will exist in 5 more years. make hay while the sun shines or something like that.
>>
$420,690
>>
Americans, how much does health care factor in your make it calculations?

I live in a country with socialized health care and you can be hospitalized for 2 weeks and pay the equivalent of $15.
My make it number is around $1.3m if single and not buying goyslop.
>>
>>61015700
Could probably swing 3 mil but wouldn’t be ideal
5 mil would be fairly comfy but pretty middle class

10 mil is my goal, can basically spend 300k+/year forever

Currently at 1.5 with 1.1 liquid outside my house
>>
>>61017013
What are you gonna do when $100k only has the buying power of $30k? Just hope the portfolio increases proportionally?
>>
>>61018794
He’s a smooth brain
>>
>>61015700
$2M i can quit waging and live off of interest while trying to get my own biz up and running. $25M and i can live life on easy mode, just managing assets and pursuing passion projects while knowing my senpai will be set when i'm gone.
>>
few hundred thousand
>>
>>61018794
Retiring is bad for you anyway. You need to keep your brain occupied. That means working and socializing and solving problems, not doing nothing while your money grows.

$5 million
$4 million in S&P index fund taking out 3% a year (~$120,000/year or $10,000/month)
$1 million in short term government bonds.
The $1 million in bonds is to be used when stocks go down and you need money, so you do not need to ever sell your stocks low

You guys aiming for millions you got american samary or just lucky rnough to buy bitcoin in 2011 ?
>>
I'm 38 and live with my mom, never had a job or anything. I'd be happy making even 15 bucks a day just to buy a decent lunch each day.
>>
>>61021361
Do you suffer from some profound mental retardation or severe crippling autism? I'm curious
>>
One guy on here had 5m because of link in 2021, then didn't retire hoping to get to 7m I think it was. Obviously has regretted that since
Not sure what his plan is now but I'd expect he'd retire before 7m now. Lost 5 years for nothing.

$100M
Currently $40M mostly in BTC so just give me a year
I'll just spend the money over $100MM so I'll be comfy with 9 figures.

I'm kidding, it's not like I need a job or do my job because I want money but it would feel very comfy to hit $100M. I'd peel off $10MM around that point and drop it in Schwab and get the black card just to dab on poors
>>
>>61021504
nope I'm as normal as they get I am just extremely lazy and refuse to work, wasted most of my life gaming. Quit games completely several years ago at least but none of my ideas to make money online have made me any money.
