what do you tell people when they ask about your job?I feel like if you just say "i dont work" men despise you and women are disgusted by you
I tell people that I was able to retire at age 30.p, which is true.
>>61017173>I feel like if you just say "i dont work" men despise you and women are disgusted by youwhy do you care so much about poorfags?
>>61017187how do people respond to that?
>>61017173You just need to make retired friends. Enjoy hanging out with people 40 years your senior for the next couple of decades.
>>61017173I say I do contracting on my own time, which I learned here. I also told this to my 9-5 so they wouldn’t ask many questions. I need to flesh out the lie more because people in passing are asking more questions. The amount of people who invest so much into a job is staggering, even high income earners who I know could take a year off and still have plenty of savings. It’s really opened my eyes to see how few people really have a different perspective on life and how it could be lived
>>61017173Just say you work remotely in some field that isn't relevant or interesting to any of them. Preferably, this job is based abroad so you can't help anyone else get hired there, have no connections etc. and is a small, private company with a nondescript website.
i never tell anyone i got rich off dogecoini just tell people "i'm unemployed but my investments are doing well"
>>61017187Saying this is dumb as fuck. The only people who won't despise you are people who want to take advantage of you.Every trustfund baby learns from their parents to always tell people that they have a meme job, usually some non-profit bullshit job related to charity, etc
>>61017173Dr Pepper is fucking nasty
>>61017364This is another good reason not to retire early even if you can by the way. People don't respect you if you don't work.
>>61017173I'm an entrepreneur (I am unemployed)
>>61017173If I had nothing going on I'd say I'm in finance, if they dig deeper I'd say financial services or wealth management (not large wealth management, just small family stuff, and no I can't accept new clients).Realistically if I ever hit the point of retirement I'd say I quit my job to chase the dream of becoming an indie game developer, and that I'm living off savings while I work on it.
>>61017187This will antagonize and alienate almost everyone except irl anons
>>61017374>be rich>keep being a wagie because your scared people might judge youlmao. Why would you not just lie if your so self-conscious about it
>>61017437You dont have to be a wagie. But if you want to have a normal social life, you have to pretend to be
>>61017506Envy is an extremely powerful emotion. If you were still a wagie you would be seething at people in your situation too
>>61017473> But if you want to have a normal social life, you have to pretend to beWhy? One of gamer names is “top10own74”And people get so mad. >where did you get that fact?>did you just make that up?>bro read a fact and thinks hes smart now>wtf made that up?>you just made that upNever ever ever underestimate how dumb and pathetic the population is.
>>61017628>Cause people will feel too mogged cause I am retired at 30 and they have 30 years of work left?Yes, exactly
>>61017686Its so funny when people say>get a job loserLike they have no idea what retired people do and contribute more than them especially if they young >mommy basementI think this is a middle class or rural or suburban insult. I have never ever said that to anyone in my entire life. It makes 0 sense. Everyone I knew and know, if I said that to them, it would make 0 sense. Everyone’s home, each floor, is bigger than multiple condos and even luxury condos arent as big as each floor. Even the kitchen is bigger than most apartments. Like that insult just doesn’t make sense. Like I said, I have done this enough to have heard everything. Last night I heard,>if you made it, you wouldn’t be here right nowLike what. Thats when I knew theyre poor. And they were army fags too. Talking so passively aggressive to me. I told them where I live and they said>the average income there is 100k. Like ok? Normies are dumb af.
Based thread.
>>61017374LolYeah, great reason
How do you guys deal with women almost instinctively despising men who FIRE?I don't understand why they care so much about their man being a wage slave. I still cook, clean, do groceries, do laundry, so what if I want to spend the day cycling in forest trails or play vidya or just doing nothing and relaxing. Does waging really matter if I make more in passive income than her meme job?
>>61017922Are you..being sarcastic?Like I dont respect anyone that is older than me and works now
>>61017983> How do you guys deal with women almost instinctively despising men who FIRE?LOVE IT. LOVE IT. LOVE IT. brokie seethe is amazing. I purposely tell people and enjoy the seethe

>>61017983Girls say >no girl likes you btwI say>it is okay, I am the buyer
>>61018216K. Like honestly, the average person is so pathetic and poor and after 30, almost everyone looks like shit. So poor + working + bad looks = tons of seethe for me to farm.
>>61017473>normal social lifeAfter you retire, you should understand what "normal social life" is. It's a support club for wagies. They rant to each other about waging and chores, and engage in various recreational activities to cope with waging. It's not worth it, you don't need that, you need a different social circle, full of people who have retired early, or never had to work at all: but not because they're gamblers or cripples, but because they were born rich or chose to pursue odd paths, like academic scientific research, politics and such. You will have "above and beyond" normal social life, and will interact with much higher quality human beings.
>>61018279This is so true and I realized this in early 20s as soon as all my friends got their first jobs. All they did was bitch and talk about their jobs.
>>61018279I remember sitting around people and literally thinking and I mean literally thinking >i feel like i am in a support group right nowThis was early 20s, imagine how much more pathetic it is at 30+
>>61017983>women almost instinctively despising men who FIRE?Women are validation seekers, they seek approval from the in-group (wagie society). A man with a job is validation that he's capable of working and bringing in resources and is at least somewhat socialized, so that's a point towards validating her choice to be friends with him or in a relationship..There's also more to being a wagie than just the money it brings in.1 - That you're a man going out and collecting resources to bring back to a woman instinctively does something for them.2 - The people you work with are a network that depends on you and that you can depend on, you're *someone* to people, which elevates your status in the mind of women.3 - It shows you're willing and able to put in effort that benefits something other than yourself. Not working is inherently selfish, it makes wagies seethe, which puts you in the out-group.4 - It shows some level of ambition, that you're able to work and maybe get promotions and more pay and better things. Not waging means you lack any ambition, even if your money is growing faster than a promotion would be, unless you're visibly using it to advance yourself in some way, women won't see it.By FIREing and not finding replacements for those things, you lose that status a job would have provided in the eyes of women (and a lot of wagie men).If you do care what wagies or women think (lol) you can try to find status another way, I don't really know what works though, I assume joining or starting a club, or some shit like that. Maybe something with ambition like your own business.
>>61018330That anon is joking btw. When youre 30 and retired all girls know you are high status.
>>61018337No, there's countless stories of women leaving men after they FIRE because the guy spent all his days just enjoying his free time. Women despise complacent men even if they're rich.
>>61018368They jealous, bro. Trust me. There are posts on /antiwork of girls saying they jealous bf or husband does nothing all day. You would be retarded to think otherwise. lol
>>61018381antiwork is just self-destructive propaganda and I wouldn't trust redditors to understand the forces that drive their decisions. If women were actually jealous they would try to lock down the rich man to combine finances so she could reach retirement sooner. So why do they leave if they're jealous? Because it's more about the status of the man than just >lol I was jealous so I had to breakupThat's the most retarded thing you could do if you were jealous of your partner.
>>61018404You also have to throw in looks and status and where bf/husband livesJust live in a top 10% area and you wouldn’t get this issue. You cant FIRE, middle class and look average. But we dont need to dig that deep, girls are jealous creatures because they are in the workforce now too.
>>61017983> I still cook, clean, do groceries, do laundryYou are staying biome as a domesticated man, she is going out into the world and doing work even if hers is a fake job, perception is the same. If you didn’t retire the both of you, you’re cucked
>>61017628>might change my gamertag to “retiredat30”>I do this in every online competitive gameyou dont do shit...ever
>>61018404> Because it's more about the status of the manYeah sure lol top 5% income is definitely high status. Girls want trust fund boyfriends and husbands.

>>61018279dont underestimate the bottom part of society, for physical activities during wagie hours nothing beats the comfortable underclass on the dolei live in a rural area and the underclass that has permanent social housing and as such is more secure in his life than even high tier wagies is also a good choice to spend your time with, so never elevate the conversation to anything higher than your joined physical activity>>61018330the single greatest seethe farm i have found about this is, and to stress this only happens when a friend of a friend imposes upon usand they start bitching like this, i simple tell him let me demonstrate and i take my wallet take out a few big denomination bills and light them on fire in front of his facei assure you the faces are glorious
>>61018416>>61018420Its cope. Men cope cause they jealous. Girls cope too cause they themselves are suffering in the workforce. I dont get why this is so hard to comprehend.

>>61017173I tell them I'm semi retired.
>>61018404Dont overthink this. lol. If a man friend can get really jealous and seethe, a girl can too. Remember, majority of girls and men are just slaving away paying off debts. Never underestimate the seethe, bro. Trust me.
>>61017173I do not say I am retired; who says that? If people insist on knowing then I run my own company doing managed investments ect. Blah blah big shotYou just don't need to wage. I guess if u needed to shut a brokie up you could say that.
>>61018471Why cant u just say>i dont work, what is that? isnt that for losers?thats what i say
>>61018471People have so much balls trolling online but never say what they online irl. I call wagies “wagies” to their face.
>>61018337This is actually not the case, because girls do not equate existing money the same as status. Most girls cant' even count properly so you have to understand job title is key. When I used to earn 100k in my business but was surrounded by followers (due to the type) pussy was all over, cause status. Now I earn like 5x this but I speak to maybe 95% less people and all those attention whores disappeared. Left only with more loyal/stable types. I know chuds will seethe it is what it is, I was also a chud once. This is why it is so important to just say you run your own company/advisory, they have no clue what you are doing anyway. My GF(s) thinks I work superhard but really I work maybe 30 mins in a day or less/not at all since I am by definition *retired*. Retired is an ugly word, it sounds boring and cautious to girls.Nothing turns girl off more than the possibility that you might be tight-fisted; they need to choose a *partner* who they can actively benefit from.
>>61017374hahahahaha people dont respect you, wagie
>>61018523Well ofc, who wants to deal with normies ganging up on you cause u sperging out.

>>61018527No, retired has status. You have to lie just to keep your girlfriends around.Making girls seethe with envy is just as fun as the men. You just have to know the stats. >10% do 50% of consumption >3% of people are millionaires>two economies etc
>>61018431You don’t understand male/female dynamics. If you aren’t building anything your status lowers. They don’t care how much money you have if you are lazy and not building or controlling anything.

>>61018613I build my wealth and control 92% of american equities is what I legit say to people. kek. the seethe i get lol
>>61018613I understand it really well. lol. I am not a nice guy provider anyways. So our views on females are different.
>>61018613Yes exactly, you can read everywhere same story. Fuck plebbit but u only have to read on FIRE how many ppl FIRE get ended by their partner cause they stopped working towards things. This isn't a male issue, it's just females. Seething won't keep a girl around. There is a reason lots of brokies have gf's, girls like to fix men or support them to achieve a vision. That's just how they are, followers. If you are doing nothing (in their mind) then you are nothing. The only girls who will stick are gold diggers, which are boring, like been there done that, no ty. >>61018542It's based I will agree lol
>>61018656>If you are doing nothing (in their mind) then you are nothing.Sounds like girl gets rejected by guy who doesnt want to build anything with her and then its>hmph! he is invisible to me now!! reee ~~~
>>61018696Well, naturally your girl is part of what you build, even if she makes zero input or does anything, she is there to pleasure and help you on that journey. They love that shit, this is just from my XP. But there are many diffrent girls, so far what you are saying is a attitude that gets gold diggers around. With gold diggers there is always a bigger fish to catch, so getting cucked is guaranteed eventually. Plus, they're expensive; just hire a whore at that point. You seem to enjoy reactions from normies, which does have an element of irony from it I will admit. But whatever does it for you. I tend to hide my powerlevel, I just want peace and quite. I'm in UK so I have no idea how many millionaires there are here like me, not many, most are leaving.
>>61018710I am boomer. Girls are property. >gold diggers >bigger fishThere are always younger hotter tighter girls

>>61018656>this isn’t a male issueActually it is too. The man who stops building stagnates. That leads to depression and apathy. Study trust fund kids who never worked for or built anything.

>>61025897The rule of thumb is 25x your yearly expenses, or also known as the 4% rule, where if you have enough to live off 4% of your index fund portfolio you're considered FIRE.Like if you make 100k after tax, if your net worth is 10x that, at $1M, and your cost of living (including covering things your work won't cover if you quit like health insurance) is $40k/year (4%), then you can probably quit.
>>61018330Probably geographical/cultural difference but in my highschool there were 4 boys, sons of millionaires.Class of 13 girls and 13 boys.4 boys lost their virginity in highschool. Guess which four. Protip: wasn't the athletic one. In fact, one of the 4 sons of millionaires was obese and probably weighed around 140kg.Sure, "manliness" plays a role, but manlines in EEU is being able to say "do you know who my dad is".I distinctly remember a group of 4 18-year old baddies came to my school, looking for the richest one of them all. He was 14 at the time.Meanwhile the average age for the boyfriends of my female classmates was 30+.Women in EEU literally only care if your parents are rich. You being rich means nothing to them, because the hard labour and sacrifices that are necessary to make it from 0 are a turnoff to them.Of course, I'm speaking strictly about the "whore class" of women. There's good ones out there, and frankly, I've felt disgusted with the non-good ones my entire life ... too disgusted to even stick my dick in them once I made it.
>>61017374>>61017364>>61017173I just tell people I'm an artist and my paintings sell
Also, I don't get the hubris displayed by people here.Probably because I "made it" a bit too recently. Why do you hate the poors so much?I'm grateful for the opportunity to pursue things more important to me than waging for some scumbag, but I still don't get why you have to look down on others.Granted, that's what I used as rage fuel before I made it, and it did help me.>>61021455> The follow-up questionBut I don't trade, I hold steady investments. I'm also releasing electronic music, playing Debussy's more popular pieces (and working up to be able to play Ravel's Miroirs), writing a fucking low-calorie-high-protein cookbook, I spend 1hr/day lifting and I've consulted startups at least once per year since I stopped waging.I also still hold stakes in 3 different companies in 3 different geographical areas.I'm looking to diversify my "stable" portfolio with global real estate and actively looking for opportunities. The only "trading" I do is actually done by a bot I coded myself. And I live a pretty fucking boring life compared to most people who made it. Do people seriously think that people who made it sperg out on basic questions?
>>61026338>Probably geographical/cultural difference Yeah probably, your experience doesn't reflect mine.Girls fucked lots of people in high school and usually stuck to their own social circles, money didn't really have anything to do with it - except maybe for who had a good place to host parties, some kids houses were just bigger/better or less supervised, which certainly helped their social standing. If I had to guess it probably has something to do with how power works in EEU, where the rich are powerful/well connected (as I understand) so that becomes a method for social mobility, compared to the west where more-less everyone is on similar levels except some specifically connected people, and there's a greater degree of mobility. And there's plenty of people capable of providing a decent standard of life, so women don't really have to think about money as the highest priority. Not to mention there's social pressure pushing them to get careers instead of locking down a man.
>>61026375>Why do you hate the poors so much? The one anon here talking about antagonizing poor people just sounds like a freak, but there's good reason to hate on poors.Poor people are often responsible for their own situation. There's been countless times where I've seen friends complain about having no money, living pay check to pay check, then you dig into their budget and you find they're spending money on stupid toys, vacations, racking up debt on high interest credit cards, eating out instead of cooking. And when you gently bring it up, pointing out a path to save and invest, they defend their self-destructive behavior, they're not willing to live on less or sacrifice anything in their lives, and yet they feel entitled to complain about their own situation. It's hard to feel sympathy for people who mismanage their lives in such a way. That said, sometimes disaster does strike unexpectedly and I don't hate people that go through that. Also, the poors hate the rich, it's a crab bucket of envy. Imagine growing up with all your friends who are struggling pay check to pay check, and then finding out one friend has a $1M+ and has quit working. It's hard not to be envious. It destroys relationships, people feel entitled to your wealth and seek to take advantage of you at your expense, asking you to pay for meals, to buy them things, to invest in half-baked business ideas. Some just simply treat you different when they learn you have money, becoming less friendly and abrasive.
>>61026413> The one anon here talking about antagonizing poor people just sounds like a freakNo, bro, once you hear what they say, you will hate them. Their ignorance is infuriating.
>>61017374Pathetic cuck
>>61026413>It's hard not to be enviousI know, I had to move to Dubai because it actually got dangerous for me and my family in EEU.I've never envied wealthier people, idk.In fact, the only places I feel comfortable are those where I'm the poorest, because I can be open about my finances without anyone being envious - and I absolutely don't mind other people making more money.I only need money for emergencies, good quality shelter, a nice car, private schooling, a few musical instruments, and maybe a mid-priced vacation. I'm not lavish in my vacations because I prefer being surrounded by doctors and engineers, rather than prostitutes and mobsters, and I've seen too much of the latter in Atlantis the Royal. So no four seasons for me, Wyndham would do.That means anything above $5m is nice but not necessary.
>>61026481>I've never envied wealthier people, idk.I remember envying wealthier people when I was in high school and only had $200 in my bank account. Eating out with friends of friends who were rich, internally I felt like they should pay for me because a meal was a pretty big chunk of my total net worth, while for them it was like nothing. I didn't say anything but no doubt my vibes were off. I knew I shouldn't feel that way, I was responsible for my own finances and food, but I couldn't prevent myself from feeling it. I suspect many poor people feel the same way, with perhaps less self-consciousness.Of course I did change once I had a job and steady income and some savings, I had no bad feelings when I saw friends get rich without me at that point, I genuinely wanted the best for them, and I've felt very fortunate once I started accumulating real wealth as well.>That means anything above $5m is nice but not necessary.I feel like that's overkill, but I still live like a poor person. I'm targeting $1.25M for a pretty lean living, but I plan to work on my own business to try to make profit from it, I think there would be very little I'd want if I was at 2M, besides flying private.Flying private feels like the only thing worthwhile after 2M just to avoid the humiliation of going through security.
>>61026532> Eating out with friends of friends who were rich, internally I felt like they should pay for me because a meal was a pretty big chunk of my total net worth, while for them it was like nothing. I didn't say anything but no doubt my vibes were off. I knew I shouldn't feel that wayBro, when I went out to eat during lunch with friends in school, the richest kid always paid. It was fucking hilarious. Like none of us were poor but the richest kid was like>yeah im richer than all of you
>>61026540kek that seems crazy to me. In my experience only parents/relatives will pay for you, with friends it's just everyone for themselves - unless someone is literally at $0 or forgot their wallet or something, then friends would pay with the hope they would get paid back.
>>61026540The kids are probably all retired early 30s now.
>>61026556It was funny but normal. No one thought of anything. I wouldn’t mind paying and neither would anyone. Thinking back now and how the public is poorer, it was very comfy. Like the rich kids knew they were rich but also knew no one was poor. And it was hilarious hearing rich kids say other rich kids are rich.
>>61017173>I don't know you and I don't care to know you.
>>61018196>>61018185BASED LOVE YOU BRO (NO HOMO)
>>61026375Anons hate poor and society in general because they antagonize them all their life for being different.
>>61017374buddy it's not that they don't respect you. It's that they fucking despise you because they have to go everyday grueling to work
>>61018916that is disgusting. I might as well be single for the rest of my life because I just hate that mentality.
>>61017374>People don't respect you if you don't work. You mean the people who tried to persecute me for refusing to take an experimental vaccine? Who gives a fuck what they think. I shit on them.
>>61018330waging is a cope. It is basically jestering around for some useless kpis or other made up shit in this world. Women just like seeing you below them and suffering because they believe they should be the one comfortable and relaxing in a relationship. Generally accepted is a stay at home mom just sitting all day with a kid watching netflix dramas. Then your husband comes in and he starts being comfortable watching anime and playing video games. It takes away from the roasties comfort.
>>61018185>anything that makes females seethe, i like. This is the way. Have fun with it. This is the social contract that they wanted. Now they have it.
>>61026785> It's that they fucking despise you because they have to go everyday grueling to workthis. I dont get why we are having a whole debate on this. There must be some seething working class anons in here. lol
