How can I get out of debt?
I doidn't have financial literacy until a month ago. I have like five 400% APR loans that are draining me dry. I'm late on all my bills because of it and I have practically no credit, my situation keeps spiraling. I asked for a $4000 loan (thats basically my total debt) from a credit union and they were willing to extend me $1000 of credit.
What the fuck can I do? I can't pay bills because of crazy loan rates, if I had a lower rate I could pay. Why don't they understand that? Where can I get help? What the fuck do I do? I make $50K a year, don't they understand that I could pay $200/mo vs the $1000/mo I pay now?
Anyone else gotten out of a shitty debt spiral? I need help guys :(

I'll try, but I can barely cover my bills. I don't get paid for another 2 weeks, I probably will run out of gas money before then, so theres no saving, only draining right now

Can't stop them withdrawing from my account, hitting me with a $35 overdraft fee for each charge.

If you're for real, which I'm doubting, you seriously need to follow Dave's steps. The $1000 is for actual emergencies like your car tire falling off. Then you make sure you pay for your home, utilities, food, and transportation.
Then, any and all remaining income is for paying debt. Pause retirement contributions if you have to. Just until it's paid off.
Do not consolidate debts. Snowball method, lowest balance to highest, will get you out. The idea is you pay off ankle-biter debts, which frees up payments, then you can attack larger ones. $50,000 a year means about $3k a month after taxes. If your bills are eating all that ho, you either need to really stop and review, or get a higher income.
You can easily pay off $4k in a couple months.
Ask me anything, but don't be a lying cunt.

I used a Wells Fargo transfer balance card to pay off my debt like 5 years ago. I think it was the Reflect card. They still seem like the best card to do this right now. You agree to a transfer balance fee, and they give you something like 2 years to pay off a large balance before they start charging interest.
>>
Once I paid off my debt, I was able to start paying into my 401K, stocks on the side, bitcoin, and even gold. I climbed out of a bad hole, I think you can too.

Actually, nvm, just read the middle of what you posted. You really think I'm contributing to my retirement when I can't pay my bills? I need to pay off my debts before I can have $1000 lying around as well, magical thinking doesn't help. And you call me a liar? Literally anyone else contrubute besides this asshole
>>
Guess I coulda also said "don't be an asshole" but you tipped your hand there. Think we found the problem.

I don't frequent this board so I don't know, maybe people do lie about that shit. I am not. This is how much the loans total to each month, not counting overdraft fees. Take off the 150 even

Post your monthly expenditures or gtfo.

is your current debt with any bank? maybe you can work with them for a loan repayment. Maybe even re-amortize it over a longer period of time (it still pays them more interest over the life of the loan, but you can at least have some breathing room now) They'd rather get paid back somehow than not paid at all.

>>
>>61018747
Nah, I have Chase and they don't do personal loans. Any advice for convincing a credit union I will be trustworthy?
>>
>>61018776
How about a regional community bank? Some of the smaller ones might help if the credit union doesn't. It's worth shopping around a little if you have a steady form of income.
>>
>>61018805
Honestly, what's the difference? I thought they were the same

I don’t have names OP, but there are non-profits out there which will help you consolidate your debt. I would do some googling, I almost worked for one years ago but can’t remember the name.
>>
OP, what is your income? What are your expenses? The easiest thing to do would be to trim the fat off of your expenses temporarily (inb4 beans & rice, pause subscriptions, don’t eat out, etc). The next easiest thing to do would be to increase your income. Can you donate plasma? Can you take a part-time job somewhere? Perhaps sell your collection of funko pops, or an old laptop that still has some value?

Paying off debt sucks, but it’s 100% worth it to get the Jew off your back. Pay it off as quickly as you can. I’m rooting for you.

Double down on the credit and then declare bankruptcy, unless it is a student loan debt, anything else debt is forgivable. Literally glitch on the system.

This guy is retarded I can't believe has a show based on being asked for advice. I have never once heard anything unique or special from him. It's the most base level boomer advice for finances imaginable.
>>
Look online for debt consolidation companies. Check their reviews. They will buy your loans from all the different lenders and give you a much lower rate. Just check their customer reviews and their math before signing anything.
>>
>>61019359
I agree with Dave Ramsey about 90%. True most of his financial advice is common sense, but that’s what some people need to hear. I also agree with him that money is a behavior problem and not a math problem for most people. Most people have enough money to live comfortably, they’re just used to buying things they can’t afford and haven’t figured out that they can stop.
>>
>>61017536
Bro, if you have to choose between paying loans and food and gas, you tell the loans to go fuck themselves. Your credit is already ruined, so just let it go completely into default while you try to get a stable income and life. Let it go to collections and settle with them for $1000 in a year or two. Stop borrowing money by the Talmudic oath
>>
>>61019387
Is this real? It's autowithdrawn, and my pay is direct deposited, what can I really do? I really want to believe you
>>61019365
I will, anon, thank you
>>61019308
Tell me more about bankruptcy, won't that prevent me totally from good credit for a decade?
>>61019215
Hah, yeah. Thought I could cover it, but then emergencies kept popping up and I screwed myself for it. I have 2 trucks, I was about to sell one but the engine seized on the other. That would've been a ticket out :(
>>61019345
You offerin?
>>61019351
Indeed, I forgot, was typing this in a hurry at work. It's 4, paid every 2 weeks.
