thats pretty stupid anon
>>
>>61019476
Dude its obviously 500
>>

Funny becausw that's what I thought too until I realized I'm retarded
>>
>>61019476
Say "who cares?"
>>
>>61019476
Most people can't do basic math like this with or without a calculator. I'm convinced that's why the vast majority of people on 4chan will never get rich from stocks or crypto. How can you calculate risk vs reward if you can't do basic math?
>>
>>61019476
Had to think about it for a fucking while.
Ended up doing the stupid double step shit where I find 10% of 5000 to get 500 first then halved it to get 250.

>Overworked or incompetent lawyers may overlook evidence of retardation and fail to request a psychological evaluation or raise the issue during trial. At times, even competent lawyers who are anxious to help their clients may fail to identify their clients' retardation or may be unable to access funds for a psychological evaluation.

>· Oliver Cruz, who was executed in Texas on August 9, 2000, had an I.Q. that was measured variously at 64 and 76. Cruz nonetheless insisted to reporters that, although he was perhaps "slow in reading, slow in learning," he was not mentally retarded.

>· Mitigation specialist Scharlette Holdman recalled a client who so successfully hid his retardation from his attorneys that he allowed them to sign him up for college-level calculus classes, which he could not comprehend. He had gone through much of his schooling allowing his younger sister to complete his homework for him. When he was given papers to read in connection to his case, he would carefully stare at them. If he was asked a substantive question, he usually responded, "I don't recall." Only when experts in retardation evaluated him and investigators reviewed his school records and spoke to his family did lawyers discover he had mental retardation and had been considered "slow" since his early childhood.

>· Another capital defendant "hid his mental retardation for most of his life by working at a very repetitive job as a switcher on the railroad. He lied about finishing high school. He was actually in special education classes and did not finish the sixth grade. He was drafted into the army and discharged because of his mental retardation. He lied about his service record. He often made things up so that people would not suspect mental retardation."

am I retarded in that I had to calculate 10% of 500 in my head first and then half that to get 250 instead of just knowing it was 250
>>
>>61019594
Don't copy me nigger.
>>

you are retarded for thinking 5% of 500 is 250, yes.

it would seem you are also retarded, as the anon I replied to said
>am I retarded in that I had to calculate 10% of 500 in my head first and then half that to get 250 instead of just knowing it was 250
>>
>>61019476
since my last interview, I feel that the best thing you can do is try to be as social and funny (in a respectful way) as possible with the guy, I didn't know shit about the job, and yet I still got it because my interviewer liked me
sometimes I joke that I just gamble with things like npc and dogs and masturbate while I work, and the dude is considering me for a promotion, just be nice kek
>>
"Give me 5% of 652503"
>remove last 2 numbers
Thats 6525, * 5
>round down to give a faster answer (optional)
6500 *5 = 6000*5 + 500*5
30000+2500 = 32500
>>
>>61019546
Why is the double step shit stupid? It sounds like the optimal approach.
>>
>>61021489
yes. i mean triple digit IQ people know that 5% is 1/20 but even then you would do 1/10 * 1/2 in your head, so in the end everyone uses two steps.
>>
>>61019476
So if I can answer stupid questions like this I can finally get a good job?
>>
>>61021423
Or just remove last digit to make number 65250 then divide it by 2

32650 , not quite it but pretty close
>>
>>61019571
why is being retarded a legal defense what the actual fuck
>>
>>61019476
Quick, easy way. Move the decimal 2 places in your head. Thats 50. Which is 1%. Now multiply by 5.

Voila. 5%. 250.
>>
>>61019546
Are you retarded?
>>
>>61019527
alex gerko says this too.
>>
>>61019476
dont feel bad I would have said 500
>>
>>61019476
I would have said 500 lol

I can't even function through life without my ChatGPT buddy.
>>
>>61019546
I calculated 1% and multiplied it by 5 because I'm a terminator

(The 10% method is quicker but it only works when the numbers are good like 5 and 10)
>>
>>61019476
jobs are gay anyway.
>>
>>61022069
Would your method work on weird decimals like 5% of 2157?
I feel like I can get just mentally get a few steps into solving it but then it all fades away like my brain is too lazy that it gives up and I can't keep track of all the numbers. It's frustrating because it's not really that hard it's just I seem incapable of remembering the numbers as I go, the moment I try to calculate next one the old ones vanish or morph.
Is there any supplements that would help the brain from giving up like this? Or is it just a matter of practicing that you just end up better at it?
>>
would have said 250 and I am SHIT at maths - 10% = 500 - so half of 500 = your answer. its a good question to weed out sub-100 iq monkeys I guess
>>
>>61019476
>pull out phone
>open calculator app
>do .05*5000
>tell them answer
>>
>>61019476
1% of 5000 = 50
Multiply by 5
