Thinking of buying BTC every paycheck for the next 10 years. Good idea or no?
>>
Should have been doing that every paycheck for the last ten years.
>>
why buy stagger your purchases into the future when the price will be >10x higher when you could just buy more now
>>

I wouldn't do it.
1/3 BTC
1/3 GLD
1/3 VT

They'll throw it at your shoes one day, trust me. A single asset is too risky for a lifetime's savings.

I had no job back then
>>61022153
What do you mean? I'm not getting all my future paychecks right now. I'm getting them every 2 weeks.

What's your argument against 100% BTC? I was under the impression that you should concentrate if you want to build wealth. I currently only have 50k or so in a HYSA. Another 90k in my 401k. I can buy $1k of anything every paycheck

>What's your argument against 100% BTC?
the argument is that in case something shits the fan with this asset you're left with nothing

use your savings duh
>>
Hysa are dumb, just invest the money, use a high limit cc to pay for emergencies and then sell out of the investment if you really really need to. My dad lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in gains by letting cash sit in a hysa instead of buying aapl.
>>
>>61022132
I've been doing that for about 4.5 years and it's worked for pretty good.
>>
>>61022132
yes this is what i'm doing. I genuinely beleive its obvious that BTC goes to $1m in 5-10 years. I put most of my savings into BTC and historically these coming months are bullish for alt coins so I've just diversified just under half of my BTC into alts which i will then convert back to BTC. but seriously just buy BTC if nothing else

I’m thinking about jacking it right now good idea or bad?
>>
>>61022559
bad idea
>>
>>61022132
bad idea
there was a poor anon here who couldn't manage to make any money DCAing over 5 years
>>
>>61022732
What's a better plan? Also thinking of just buying it in bear markets and dca-ing out at bull markets
>>
>>61022772
ok bro, listen to me. you DCA the same amount, the same day every month or paycheck. You don't start
>uhhh the price is bad ill wait
>naaa this paycheck im spending it all on funko pops
you wont make it. you need conviction and gall.
retarded anon I mentioned failed to these things and then complains here. what a bitch.
Pick a DCA amount you can afford and stick to it no matter what, in 18-20 months crypto will feel dead, you will feel like flushing money away, you will want to stop. DONT, its always like it,
I bought 1 bitcoin for $1k in 2014, it crashed and I felt like a retard for wasting all my money. I felt extra dumb cuz I couldn't figure out how to buy drugs on silk road with it. fast forward;
Sure dont feel retarded now
>>
>>61022132
Give me .17$ on bitcoin!
>>
>>61022876
Yeah, that's what I meant. DCA through the bear market when everyone is doom posting. DCA to cash when everyone is bull posting and we're breaking all time highs etc, rinse and repeat for a couple cycles. I'm just wondering if this still is likely to work or I've got some blind spot to this logic.
>>
>>61022898
yes, it works
when everyone is doom posting and you are looking at your bank account and dumping money into sinking ship its a different story. Not everyone can do it.
in 2019 was a hard year to keep it up.
