Had I ignored that one anon from the other day I'd be up maybe $2k today. Instead it offset the majority of the loss from anon's "great" idea that ended up being a below break even sale had I held longer, except I sold most of it to reposition only to fail that. Still would've been a loss.

>These images may seem mundane, but one has to consider that they represent just a tiny fraction of the datacenter development breaking ground across the country. This single facility represents 600 football fields filled with cables, fiber, pipes, generator sets, transformers, chillers, switchgear, cable trays, fuel tanks, batteries, copper busways, electrical components (2N redundant), pumps, air handlers, fire suppression systems, all the fancy actual computing and cooling gear inside the data halls and 200,000 tons of other equipment that collectively consume enough electricity to power the city of Seattle and must reject a level of waste heat 24/7 that creates thermal plumes visible on weather radar.

<Each is literally a “Ludicrous Building.” And there are eight under construction on this single site. And this is just one of the Stargate data centers, there are many more. xAI’s Colossus 2, Meta’s Louisiana Hyperion, Microsoft’s Fairwater, Quantum Loophole, Nebius’ New Jersey DC, Amazon’s Pennsylvania Project, Google/Anthropic’s Project Rainier - just to name a few.

> US PRESIDENT TRUMP ON TRUTH

"The Basedbean Farmers of our Country are being hurt because China is, for “negotiating” reasons only, not buying. We’ve made so much money on Tariffs, that we are going to take a small portion of that money, and help our Farmers. I WILL NEVER LET OUR FARMERS DOWN! Sleepy Joe Biden didn’t enforce our Agreement with China, where they were going to purchase Billions of Dollars of our Farm Product, but Basedbeans, in particular. It’s all going to work out very well. I LOVE OUR PATRIOTS, AND EVERY FARMER IS EXACTLY THAT! I’ll be meeting with President Xi, of China, in four weeks, and Basedbeans will be a major topic of discussion. MAKE BASEDBEANS, AND OTHER ROW CROPS, GREAT AGAIN!"

>In short, “tech” has become truly capital intensive again for the first time in a quarter century. For the broader economy, this is an enormous development.

>At the Stargate Data Center in Abilene, by mid-2026 eight buildings will be completed representing approximately 4 million square feet with a total power capacity of 1.2 gigawatts (GW). And this is just one site.

>Five new Stargate sites are already in the permitting or construction stages (Shackelford will have its first building complete in H2 26) and there’s already discussion about expanding the Abilene DC by another 600MW.

In case you missed it: China banned the import of BHP (Australian) iron ore.
BHP produced 263 million tonnes of iron ore last year, 60% of it going to China.
China imported 1.2 billion tonnes of iron ore last year, about 75% of the world's seaborne iron ore.
The official reason is a "price dispute" but China has poured billions into the Simandou project in Guinea, West Africa which is expected to ship its first cargo of iron ore next month, November 2025.

This is not a minor dispute. These are gigantic amounts of resources on the table.

Thank big unit. The fear and loathing of 2020 downturn is what I have in mind for the next bear market and that graph shows it nicely

>no, no, no, no!!! I'm a SMART BOY I deserve to be rewarded!!!1 Mommy the market is mean to me agaaaaaaain
>>
>>61024045
Why?
>>
>>61024047
Rising unemployment, still high inflation, still high interest rates, shinking GDP.
SPY should be 400 tops.
How does anyone disagree?
>>
>>61024047
ADP was like in July when everybody ignored it until August the real data + revisions came in and the market dumped

Better even, both past months were negative in ADP

I simply dca each paycheck with some market buys on whatever looks good or what /smg/ shills me
feels pretty comfy, though i fear the day that i open up my portfolio to see it go way down

The only way the market should be this high is if the economy is on fire and interest rates are near zero.
I hope these market makers eat shit and die.

>>
>>61024094
Fewer, not less. Less is for when you have an amount that isn't discrete, e.g. less water. But people refers to a definite quantity so you use fewer instead.

GAMB is the cheapest it has ever been
GRRR is very cheap just signed a contract worth 4 times its market cap and has more in the pipeline
MDA is cheap, has $4b in orders backlog, as much as its market cap

Hopefully because they are at or near retirement so the taxes won't be too significant because they have no job.

Hmm... Yep, 1000 more into INTC.

>>61024168
I could see a case for it in near or at retirement, but you got people in their 20s-40s accumulating when they can just shuffle into it at retirement instead.

For the same reasons why we don't talk about it for our option plays. It's all about getting additional income for reinvestment for time value of money and those reinvestments will be on qualified dividends.
>>
>>61024194
I mean, if it isn't enough to push them up a tax bracket, then it still isn't a problem. The worst that happens is they get taxed at ordinary income. Do you complain when you get a raise at your job?

Markets are not at all the economy. Your problem is conflating them together. The markets can pump just fine even though the economy is weak. Part of it is delusion, part of it is inflation, part of it is sector rotation, and part of it is simply that despite the poor and middle class getting poorer, the rich are still getting wealthier.
