Why are there so many brainwashed marxist government bootlicker retards in the UK.

Philosophytube and then this guy.

Because the current techno-feudalism system that's in place in the west is failing the vast majority of people. People still think we live under capitalism, which we haven't been since at least the 1970's, and blame that for the state of things so they look at historically was against the capital system for answers. Solving the problem of the west is easy, use a hard currency, forcibly seize assets of anyone who moves production from your country to others (protect your businesses) and do the vast majority of real production at home. This of course is anathema to techno feudalists who benefit the most out of global labor arbitrage.

This nigger is more retarded than you can possibly comprehend. They tried taxing the rich 90%+ in some countries back in the 1960s, guess what happened? They all fucking left those countries and moved business elsewhere. Nobody had jobs because of this, the countries that did this went through extreme poverty.

TL;DR:

Gov taxed the rich more than 90%, they all left, people went into poverty, surprised pikachu face.

total brokie death

socialism to the intelligentsia is like shit to flies. Once you realize this, plus the fact that human nature doesn't change, you understand the cyclical and eternal nature of this phenomenon. They will rear their heads again and again, like mushrooms. It's a law of nature, not a novelty.
>>
in previous ages the role of socialism was fulfilled by religion, a much more comprehensive and sound framework or protocol for practices of all kind. The phenotype of human who is today a rabid egalitarian would have been much more productive as a monk in the 1500s.
But I am posting this in a serial repeat shill thread, so the joke is on me
>>
>>61024772
A better argument would be if you liquidated all of the rich's wealth and gave it to everyone, people would only get a one time check for $2000.
That's it.
Their entire net worths is less than the national debt lmao
commies think they have a bajillion dollars kek

>They tried taxing the rich 90%+ in some countries back in the 1960s, guess what happened? They all fucking left those countries and moved business elsewhere.
Uhh this happened in the USA and the rich did not fucking leave
>>
>>61024952
The rich didnt actually pay those high taxes back then
Look up effective tax rates vs marginal rates
>>
>>61024952
>>61024956
I dont even know the history, but I have enough common sense to understand that there is no way in hell that the usa taxed anyone 90%. Im surprised people believe this sort of stuff. What kidn of power structure do you envision that can tax people at 90%? it has to be the most totalitarian and invasive regime in history, superseding everyone like mao and stalin.

You're a fucking retard. Learn your own country's history.

Actually, it just shows how everyone's heavily propagandized that high marginal tax rates are a bad thing.

You're on fucking crack if you think people actually paid "90%". Thats what I mean by my post. Even reddit can educate you on the subject, apparently. I'm not American
>>
>>61025073
That's what a 90% marginal tax rate means, yes.
At least half the population is too stupid to understand the concept of a marginal tax and that's why whenever the topic of tax comes up you get people chiming in that they don't want to earn more because they'll have to pay a higher tax rate.
>>
that's why you are delusional

and all people of your ilk

You have a cartoonish perception of reality

You see a number and take it at face value. "oh, look, they paid 90%"

Your retarded brain doesnt even realize that you can't possibly tax people 90%. It's impossible. As other anon said, they will simply leave. The only situation where they wont leave is if they are forced to stay. America has never been a totalitarian hellhole. This is 1+1. entry level economics. Which your left leaning brain (I assume) will not understand
>>
>>61025086
You can have a 90% marginal income tax rate, the US did that for many years. The rich didn't leave, they either paid the tax or invested back into their companies instead of paying themselves.
>>
>>61025083
ok, so you dont think people paid "90%", but your post made it seem that way
>>
>>61025093
well, no shit. I can also arbitrarily and performatively tax the last $1000000 of a $9000000 income at 99%, and scream at the top of my lungs that "all the richfags stay, despite a 99% tax rate!"
>>
>>61025108
I meant to write $100000*
>>
>>61025108
Well why don't you? Lots of richfags have higher income than that.
It's not arbitrary, it encourages investment and discourages hoarding and mindless financial speculation. Those were high growth years.
>>
>>61025050
>>61025059
we didnt actually have high taxes on the rich back then

>>
>>61025125
you think? in 2021 about 22k people earned $10m or more. top 0.1% earns about $3m average in usa with very skewed distribution. so, you have only 22k to 30k people earning the required amount

it's completely retarded. I'm already tired of this argument. moreover, and more importantly: anyone earning more than $9M already does more for the economy and the country than the government could ever hope, spending it on a bunch of fucking nigger gibs projects
>>
>>61025254
>anyone earning more than $9M already does more for the economy and the country than the government could ever hope
The rich are part of the economy. They wouldn't be wealthy without a lot of government investment and most of their wealth is tied up in equity. Elon Musk is an obvious example.

>spending it on a bunch of fucking nigger gibs projects
The real problem right here, the US is politically dysfunctional because blacks and whites can't stand each other. Voters don't want to invest in public spending or welfare - either because it would help blacks, or because it would bring blacks closer to them. But it doesn't have to be that way.
>>

I think it's great that he wants to have an open dialogue about wealth distribution and he has a lot of great points, but I think it's completely undermined by his dishonesty around immigration, and personal finance.

It doesn't have to be 90% or something crazy, but especially the rich are very good at avoiding tax via loop holes, many end up paying a smaller % than some with lower income.

Who do you fink iz gonna build all the houses we need for our rapidly declinin population you racist??

Nothing changes until laws concerning shell corporations and trusts changes, but that's never going to happen.

It’s so funny that there are poor people who still get angry at people why try to help poor people. Their addiction to being angry is more important to them than their wellbeing. The human mind truly is a wonder.

>I think it's great that he wants to have an open dialogue about wealth distribution
Equalizing the wealth won't make the working class better off.
The super rich don't have much wealth as you think they have, even if you could make things more equal, it doesnt mean more resources for you to consume

>absolutely nobody supports or backs up this claim other than him, former colleagues actively dispute it
>rails against the capitalist system he is "disillusioned by"
>conveniently became "disillusioned" only after making millions trading the capital markets
>I guess you have to make millions of dollars and retire for life before you decide to tear the system down
>actively cuts the rope for anyone who asks for help learning to trade
>tells them instead there's no hope for them to learn how, because the system is rigged
>"just back me fookin' political revolution m8" instead
I cannot believe anyone is stupid enough to believe anything this grifting faggot says, but then again most of these people got COVID shots willingly, so I shouldn't be too shocked.
>>

yup. shit like this just makes the rich hate the poors more.
>>
>>61029851
>absolutely nobody supports or backs up this claim other than him, former colleagues actively dispute it
Fucking Kek. See this makes sense too because trading doesn’t really work the way he seems to be implying anymore, they don’t just hand you a billion dollars and pay you on the back, I’m pretty sure they have agreed upon models that they build and then either automatically trades or assists in identifying trades to enter for opaque markets, which you either follow or lose your job.
>>
>>61025093
That’s because the US will actually still tax you if you live overseas. Apparently lost technology for eurocucks who believe in magic dirt theory where if you live in monacco long enough you suddenly don’t have to pay taxes even though 90% of your assets and revenue are still in the country you bailed from.

Gary is melodramatic and baiting for clicks, but he’s right that if things continue to get worse for poorfags then eventually they’ll be tempted to take away all the richfag magic dirt loopholes.
>>
So pretty much to appeal to the broke masses:
>look stupid
>look subhuman
>hate the rich
>>
>>61029922
Yeah nobody was letting this fucknut loose at age 20-something with a gorillion dollars and letting him Gordon Gekko it to profitability, a younger trade has a huge amount of risk management/monitoring in place.

Here's where 8 (!) of his coworkers dispute that claim: https://www.ft.com/content/7e8b47b3-7931-4354-9e8a-47d75d057fff
>>
>>61030000
Nice quads. They don’t even let senior traders have freedom like that, granted my experience is limited on the sell side but another (quant) team makes the model and you implement the model. Sometimes that literally just looks like approving the trades a bot did.
>>
>>61030086
Yep, no experience as a professional trader but worked in an adjacent role and went through all the standard training. Absolutely no department anywhere is letting the noob run his own book with enough capital to beat everyone, especially not post 2008. After the GFC prop trading got clamped down. This dude is just a compulsive liar, a forgettable nobody making it big by "blowing the system up" because he wouldn't matter otherwise.
