On retail platforms, stop loss orders don’t trigger at the chart price you see (mid/last price), but on the ask or bid side, depending on your position.If you’re short, your stop loss is a buy order. Buy orders are executed at the ask price, not the bid/last.So: even though the chart shows 222.9 (maybe last trade or bid), the ask could have been at 224 or above. That triggered the stop.
