It might be a contrarian view, but holy crap, R and Shiny might be the most underrated tool anything data related Our company had to analyze very large datasets for a client — over a 10 million rows and more than 100 variables. A key part of the task was identifying the events and timeframes that caused changes in the target variable relative to others. A lot of exploratory analysis had to done in the beginning, where the data had to be zoomed in very close. Using Plotly + Shiny +R , Was able to create a very sophisticated interactive dashboard to visualize variable correlations. I was also able to use Plotly’s event triggers to interactively subset the data and perform targeted analysis within the appWas able to solve the problem within a couple of days and saved the client a lot of money. Gave the presentation to the client and they were blown away. Python is extremely overrated and a herd of ppl just use it because everyone else uses it

Plotly is available under python too you know
I’ve never really used R, but I thought most of the value in a language was its adoption so people create libraries for it.
It’s good for one-off plots and analysis, but it’s not a serious programming language and shouldn’t be used in production
>>61029913>Python is better, if you disagree it means you're gay
imagine white knighting a programming language...for free. wrong board faggot
>>61029913All modern languages are the same. You can litterally build what you said in any of the popular languages. It just depends what the developer is most proficient at:
