> deportations of workers didn't cause labor shortage.
> in fact, job openings in construction is decreasing
>>
Illegals were not accounted for to begin with.
The job positions they were stealing never made it into any statistic because for all intents and purposes the job position never existed neither as an open one nor as one that got filled.
Yet another reason why having illegals around is bad, it completely skews statistics.
>>
Now show me rent and food and fuel costs and welfare costs of illegals.
>>
You seriously thought they would turn around and hire americans after deporting illegals? Naw, the businesses will stubbornly not do it out of spite and stinginess.

Trump is so incompetent he crashed the labour market and the asset market at the same time.

Concession accepted.

There is no working class with illegal foreigners around.

One: That doesn't make sense because that would imply every single construction company that employs illegals doesn't exist on paper.

Two: If the jobs don't exist how are they stealing them lmao

Three: Explain the chart then.

why in the name of god would i want to argue with you about this or anything else. no need to be a weird little vagueposting bitch, i concede

Some of them probably work on shoestrings and suck at being businesses, so they can't stay around unless they dodge paying for shit properly by getting parking lot Mexicans to work for a quarter of the actual pay with no benefits. We'll see more go under.

Are you retarded or something?
A company can exist in legal terms AND hire illegals/illegally.
>If the jobs don't exist how are they stealing them
Wait, you actually are retarded.
The job position didn't exist on paper because if it did the owner would have to explain that he hired an illegal you fucking retard.

>why in the name of god would i argue about an argument I lost
That's right. Concession accepted.

It turns out that when tariffs made everything more expensive, in particular the raw materials used in construction, and when the country can't have a consistent economic policy for more than a month, and rates should stay high since monetary policy spiked inflation (which hasn't been calculated in months, since the guys that did it got fired by DOGE); nobody wants to build anything besides Hail Mary data centers.

I'm increasingly convinced that our retarded version of the Gulf States' migrant labor was load-bearing for the economy, alongside inexpensive Asian imports in a way that wasn't obvious.

The companies bringing in foreign temp labor to pick fruit and whatever sure were, but I think only for the previous stupid reason plus on-site relocation issues.

Now cross that chart with mine...

The illegal labor grey market extended far beyond agricultural labor.
>>
>>61031210
deport them all
>>
>>61034558
deporting them all is leading to a massive demand shock and it will collapse the economy

Good. Destroy this fake and gay economy. The faster everyone loses their bread and circuses, the faster politicians get to dance from lamps.

It seems not many of you work in the trades so let me explain how these illegal spics are in the work place. First, a contractor hires a subcontractor who is here "legally". That subcontractor has all of the illegal spic laborers being paid under the table. So when the contractor pays the subcontractor, he pays his slaves in cash and pockets the rest. Contractor isn't liable at all for this behavior. As far as they are concerned their subcontractor is legal.
