I literally went down a rabbit hole to get a limited run of handmade, hand painted "Sergey Nazarov on horseback" porcelain figures and with costs and complexity it simply wasn't doable.

Yeah, it is a good idea for a business. Make it easy to capture off multiple regular photos you can upload from your phone and I'd probably get a few as novelties if the price wasn't ridiculous (under 100 bucks?). I think you could make bank.
