Hey /biz/, I need your guidance on my fucked up wagie situation.I have a new job offer I could accept Monday end of day. At my current company, things are very shaky for me... basically new leadership just came in, we're pivoting to different industries, hiring a lot while not creating new pipeline, basically everythings fucked and my role will prob be redundant. Problem is my new role I have an offer for is a step down in job title and comp.My options are:1. Accept the new role and leave clean with a low job title and pay, but work remotely.2. Stay and get cut with severance later (likely in two months) -- the severance is around 12k. It's mandated in the company policy and will be given to me.3. Try the risky and unethical move of asking for severance + asking to leave, while accepting the new offer quietly. Not sure what to do here. I almost feel like being let go due to restructuring is a better narrative than taking an other job title regression. Can any wagecucks give some advice?
I would recommend getting a job where you make more money
>>61037301I would take a huge cut like 30-40% to work remotely but I have enough savings not to work so I may not be the best person
>>61037301Just quit your job anon. The economy's going to crash in 2 weeks, just buy up ammo and rations to prepare for it
Just take the new offer. 12k is nothing. WFH makes up for the loss of income. No commute, no lunch, no fancy coffee runs, more sleep. It’s a no brainer anon. Godspeed.
>>61037582This. Taking the new offer and leaving now sounds like the best play.
