The amount of leverage and risk
>>61055674There's basically no difference. Even down to insider trading it's the same.

>>61055674Gambling is... Well... Uuhhh I don't know...
>>61055674Gambling (and trading) is adversarial. No value is created. A pool of money from a large group of people is reallocated to a few. While investing is still a bet, it is dependent on a company's growth (value created) over a long time frame. While companies compete with each other, you do not need other people to lose to make your gains.
Generally, the economy usually goes up. Gambling is way more random. Besides that, it's just less risky gambling
>>61056915Trading is needed for markets to function properly. It has nothing to do with gambling.
Getting paid for risk isn't a bad thing. It's how the world works. "Gambling" is risking when it's objectively -EV. Casino games for instance that can only ever offer you a 49% chance of winning on an even money bet. Investing is about chasing +EV.
>>61056936>Trading is needed for markets to function properlyI didn't say it wasn't needed, and I'm not making a value judgement. I think it keeps the market honest. But it is adversarial. Anyone who wants to trade, just like a poker player, wins by being better than the guy sitting across from them.
>>61055674>drinking water is badWhat’s this new forced kike meme?
>>61057164Newfag, it's peak irony. Basedjak posting is often double trolling, where it is perceived as bad but is actually good, alas the OP image.
