The market predicted rate cuts in may 2024 and he didn't cut then he cut 50 bps in september of that year. Trump might be an idiot that wants 0% interest rates like any other short-term populist but he is completely right about Powell not cutting due to political reasons and not economical ones.
I refuse to believe all these labor market corrections fooled the FED. They know how the economy is doing, they just don't want to take measure because they could be blamed for a bad economy.
