What was the most financially devastating decision of your life anon? My fiance hired a member of her diaspora to build her a house for 500k. He claimed to have tons of experience but it was the first time he ever tried building a house by himself. He royally fucked it up, went over budget, abandonded the half finished projects and is hiding behind lawyers. She is now stuck paying a mortgage for a building she cannot live in.
