Thank you for your service tripfag mcgee. When you first posted your insane ramblings I had a small short on Porsche at 44 euro and made a lil bit.

Perhaps I will do that again today. Does feel uneasy looking at the chart and shorting the very bottom but yeah it is a dying brand and EVs are gay as hell.

I always thought they were ugly and there are so many here, people paying Rolls Royce prices (£250,000) for a shitty Porsche 4X4

Money can't buy taste! Many such cases. SAD!
>>
>>61068938
>haven't rocketed yet
They've all rocketed and are continuing to do so, it's just maths. Mining is a fairly starightforward metric - does the sale price exceed the production cost? You don't dig up lumps of gold any more, you dig up ore, which is then crushed into powder, then you dissolve the gold out using cyanide. The concentrations are as low as 10 parts per million, so you need to process huge quantities of ore to make small amounts of gold. The cost of doing that is a combination of how high the concentration of gold in the ore is, and how difficult it is to dig up and process (open cast mining softer rocks is much easier than deep mining hard ones), plus how much of a ballache the local regulations are about all the extremely toxic chemicals you're using. When the price gets high enough all sorts of trickier deposits become economically viable, so they can start producing, and when it falls they get closed down. It's sort of mad when you start to look into the kinds of things gold miners get up to though - blowing up entire mountains is just the start of it. There's a mine in South Africa which has 236 miles of tunnels extending 2.5 miles underground, where the walls get up to 60C (140F) becuase it's so close to the core, and where illegal ghost miners break in and spend so long living underground that they turn grey and have gun battles with security in the pitch-black depths.

Then just risk what you can afford to lose

If your portfolio is £1,000

Just risk £50 - £100
If you lose £50, you still have 19 more tries to get it right.
If it goes right, that £50 or 5% of your portfolio could become a multibagger and baloon to £100 or 10% of your portfolio, maybe even £250 and now that 5% has swelled into 25% of your portfolio.

Very rudimentary but I hope you get the jist.

No risk, no reward. But manage the risk well and while you might mitigate your rewards, you will protect your account while taking risks to increase your portfolio.

If it feels risky and you're green, take profits.
If you have a tiny amount of capital take every win you can get and build up some more capital.

A SPIRITUAL AXIOM
October 09
It is a spiritual axiom that every time we are disturbed, no matter what the cause, there is something wrong with us.

TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 90

I never truly understood the Tenth Step's spiritual axiom until I had the following experience. I was sitting in my bedroom, reading into the wee hours, when suddenly I heard my dogs barking in the back yard. My neighbors frown on this kind of disturbance so, with mixed feelings of anger and shame, as well as fear of my neighbors' disapproval, I immediately called in my dogs. Several weeks later the exact situation repeated itself but this time, because I was feeling more at peace with myself, I was able to accept the situation—dogs will bark—and I calmly called in the dogs. Both incidents taught me that when a person experiences nearly identical events and reacts two different ways, then it is not the event which is of prime importance, but the person's spiritual condition. Feelings come from inside, not from outward circumstances. When my spiritual condition is positive, I react positively.

How is your spiritual condition as a trader anon? Do you react to a pump or a dump the same way each time? Maybe today is the day to try a different reaction. If I am disturbed by the market it is something wrong with me. I will accept my gains and losses as matter of course and try to be spiritually balanced. Do it today anon.
>>
>>61069175
£3,000 in 2021, played a bit won at first then had a relatively big loss £800 and stopped.
Tried again with £20,000 Jan 1 2024
But I have added at least another £20,000 since incrementally

I am still young, dumb and full of room to learn and develop myself, I am by no means an authority or a success story yet. Psychology has been the greatest pitfall and I feel like I have turned a corner in the last 6 months or so. You have to lose and learn to lose and you have to win and learn to win, sounds obvious but they were strange foreign and at times overwhelming feelings. Now I am comfortably numb to it all.

Judgment: BUY. GAMB screens undervalued for a cash-generative, asset-light affiliate/data business at ~5.7x TTM P/E and ~6x P/FCF, anchored by 2024 FCF of ~$41.6M and Adjusted EBITDA of ~$48.7M. The Odds Holdings acquisition adds higher-quality subscription/data revenue and reinforces a tech/data moat across nearly 300 sportsbooks, while the diversified brand portfolio and publisher partnerships have supported superior profitability vs peers. Secular tailwinds from regulated online gambling and media-sports convergence provide a favorable backdrop for a re-rating if 2024-like unit economics normalize.

Near-term risk is elevated given a Q2-2025 operating loss and a mid‑2025 step-up in long-term debt (~$80M) under the expanded $165M facility; clarity on use of proceeds, ROI, and paydown trajectory is essential. Still, low structural capital needs and historically solid cash generation suggest manageable leverage if integration executes and seasonality/regulatory noise abates.

The exercised a warrant to sell nearly 200 million shares at $2 each. Even though they introduced more future warrants that would have to be executed by early 2028 before expiration for $7.75 each, implying strong confidence that the stock will exceed that value by then if not sooner, the fact of the matter is selling nearly 200 million shares at $2 each is going to bring down the value of the stock short-term.

Basically it's showing medium to long-term confidence, but in the short-term the stock's value almost has to go down.

I was shocked to see it almost go green yesterday honestly. I don't think it's price manipulation though, it's really hard to bring a stock price up when ~18% of the float was just sold at ~50% of the current value. It'll recover, maybe sooner than I'm thinking if it's lucky, but it's just way more likely to go down today and maybe tomorrow too.

Stolen from leddit:
TL;DR: ONDS filed a proxy statement asking shareholders to vote on doubling authorized shares from 400M to 800M. If it passes, the company can potentially raise an additional $1.5 BILLION through warrant exercises. This is either rocket fuel to $20+ or a massive dilution bomb waiting to happen.

The Details:

So ONDS just dropped a PRE 14A (preliminary proxy statement) and most people are probably glossing over it, but this is actually HUGE for anyone holding the stock.

What they're voting on:

Double the authorized share count from 400M to 800M shares

Increase employee stock option pool

Why this matters: Remember that monster $425M offering that just closed? Well, it came with 73.92M warrants at a $20 strike price. Right now, those warrants are basically worthless paper because the company doesn't have enough authorized shares to actually issue them if exercised.

The math:

Current shares outstanding: ~349M (as of record date)

If all warrants get exercised: +73.92M more shares

Potential cash from warrant exercises: $1.478 BILLION

Two scenarios:

BULL CASE (Vote passes):

ONDS gets a potential $1.5B war chest for acquisitions

Stock needs to hit $20+ for warrants to be "in the money"

Company transforms from small cap to major defense contractor

Your shares get diluted but the company becomes much more valuable

BEAR CASE (Vote fails):

Warrants become permanently worthless

Company stuck with "only" the $425M from recent offering

Stock likely crashes as the big growth story dies

Massive selling pressure from disappointed warrant holders

…well I suppose the whole point of a split is to make an appearance that the post-split price is more affordable. Tom Lee says it’s going to $2000 at the current split multiplier.

My Amazon has a current multiplier of 120x the current price. There is no way someone would pay $27,000/share of Amazon. But they will happily pay $225 with a projection to $300 over the next 12 months.

People will happily pay $300/share for Nvidia when conservatively if you bought ten years ago you’d have a 40x. Companies will just continue splitting (see Microsoft) to keep their stock price in a certain threshold for investors to ‘feel ok’ about the price per share.

Very muchly indeed.

One of the goals of the US / Europe should be to identify all the houses with south facing roofs and, when the roofs need replacing, swap them to solar tiles. It needs a roof anyway. So they may as well also be producing power.

The problem is that is't not consistent and power storage is really shit. You've got pretty bad efficiency round trip, atleast after a couple years of degredation.

The main benefit of consumables for energy (nuclear, gas, oil, coal...) is that the power is stored already and you only need to worry about one way efficiency.
>>
>>61070253
>power is stored already and you only need to worry about one way efficiency
That also applies when the power is fed into something that directly consumes it, e.g. arc furnaces, cement production, petrol chemical refineries, data centres etc.

But yes the obvious goal would be to reduce the battery element to the lowest levels required since they're just an additional component that accumulates wear.

I’ve been selling a covered call on it weekly whenever it spikes up a bit for the last month. Even though I’m down $1k I’ve collected 2.5k in total premiums but I’m still mad that my 33k only made me 1.5k in a month when the market has pumped

That'd be cool so long as the profits are split evenly based off how much you put in the pool. And the best traders here are in fact good at trading.

>>
>>61070455
yeah, youd take the percentage of your investment from the trade. i think it would be good to help people learn too. it could be set up where certain group members discuss what they think is the best stock. and then when everyone has agreed, they buy, take profit, and sell soon thereafter. if we were to put our money together we could make a lot on a little move up.
