>place a long limit order for LTC at $80 with take profit at $92
>nothing happens for like 5 seconds
>order disappears from the list of orders, can't cancel it, can't edit it
>after 40 minutes I see the order was filled at $101
>can't cancel it, can't edit it, errors all over the screen when I try to cancel/edit it
>errors all over the screen when not doing anything
>order randomly sells at a loss
The amount of lawsuits will be enormous. Are exchanges going to survive this, or will just go tits up like FTX did?
Btw is there any chance to get some kind of a refund from exchanges fucking up again? I have about 20 screenshots

You won't win the lawsuit. No refunds etc.
None of the people who lost money in the ftx bankruptcy back in the day were given money.

what's happening? i just heard that some cryptocoins crashed after another retarded trump chimpout. was there some sort of mass fraud or what? cypto exchanges got hacked?

im a noob at this
>>
Also in the history I see:
>opening price 82, closing price 79
>opening price 91, closing price 91.23
10 minutes later
>opening price 102, closing price 96
30 minutes later
>opening price 97.77, closing price 97.77
What in the fuck is this. I set a buy limit at 82
>>
>>61083883
There were mass lawsuits for shit like that back in 2017 and 2018 and exchanges had to pay up.
This is 100% a glitch/bug on the part of the exchange.

>cypto exchanges got hacked
They had multiple alerts about network issues during the dump. Most likely "someone" (usually it's the exchange itself) was DDOSing the exchanges as the dump commenced.

not only will nothing happen
but cz will soon receive presidential pardon
when he just committed the most blatant crime in crypto history
white house insiders made bank from shorting today
crime is legal unless you're cattle

Oh bless your lil brown zoomerito heart kek

don't governments have a hard-on for any excuse whatsoever to go after the exchanges? if this is true, shouldn't the exchanges be in deep shit?
>>

>>order randomly sells at a loss
>randomly
Lol
>>
>>61083883
>back in the day
You mean literally like a year or two ago lmao. I know people keep trying to push this 'so long ago' sit for everything that happened more than a week ago, but something that happened just like 30 months ago is not something 'long' ago. And the mtgox fags, who actually were back in the 11 years ago day, did get the money back.

> Are exchanges going to survive

If they're doing their jobs the right way, they would have no risk.

In the case of the legitimate stock market, the 'market makers' are required to always be willing to buy and sell any stock. But instead of being forced to take on the risk of the counter-side of the transaction; they can bake the transaction zero risk and zero-dollar for themselves via (what I think is called Conversion/Reversal but) is known as synthetic calls and puts.

So, if someone wants to buy or sell a certain stock, you down a second series of transactions at the same time, which remove the financial risk of the transaction, allowing you to make your money on the commissions.

See image for google's version of how it works. I couldn't find my own notes and didn't feel like looking for it.

For you.

>if this is true, shouldn't the exchanges be in deep shit?
They could try to hide behind "we were ddosed, so a buy order processed with 20 minutes of lag, it was all out of sync and just random numbers met random numbers" or something like that. But apart from screenshots and account logs all the deep logs must sit on servers of the exchanges.
If it happened to me it must've happened to plenty of other people. That's why I wonder if the exchanges are gonna get buried with lawsuits. I wonder if it's best to just withdraw everything from exchanges before they decide to exitscam or just go tits up

Also it's weird af whenever I open the page of kraken and especially after I log in, my internet connection gets all fucked, ping rises to 2000-3000, lost packages, requests timed out when I ping google.com
I close kraken and connection goes back to normal.
I guess they got hacked and connecting to the exchange somehow also fucks up your network.

I liked kraken, it was the only decent exchange out there in a sea of pure shit, plz kraken don't die from this

What exchange were you using?

>white house insiders made bank from shorting today
Just on the top of my mind i can remember at least a dozen instances were insiders went massive shorts 24H before Bloumpf shitposted some fud (usually cancelled within 2 days).
I bet this fat sack of corrupt shit is selling his shitpost like $150M/post. Best paid online shill ever.
