>didn't put a stop loss >wasn't leveraged>bought more during the dipI was basically unaffected by all of this although it was kinda scaring seeing everything do a -50% for a brief moment
>>61089134No one asked. Fuck you.
>leveraged 2x>it dropped 25%>tfw not even a dent
>>61089134Is it ever worth using a stop loss?I think if it was, the market would just price it in.My feeling says there's no point trying to be clever. Lots of people are well paid to be cleverer than you and they can also frontrun you and do insider shit. Just be Grug and hold and buy more if and when you can.
I shouldn't have bought the gold dip, because it dipped lower.
>>61089173I am so glad I didn't FOMO into gold last week.I came so close. But then I realized if I had a break in I'd be fucked. You need a safe and insurance and shit. That got me to delay until the peak hit.
ony retards use leverage (and rent)
>>61089171If you need a stop loss your size is too big. This is an obvious fact to gamblers, once I accepted it's gambling all the way down I got better at sizing.
>>61089134I'm just long btc 90%, alts are eth, doge, pepe, flare and a little aster. That's it, nothing happened that will matter by next week
>>61089171>>61089194if anything, you want limit orders :^)
>>61089179It hasn't peaked.
>>61089169>leveraged 1.1x>it wicked to literal zero>got liqdperps are demonic.
Leverage was the issue since you needed the margin to secure your positions. You couldn't DCA down which was the way to profit on this crash.I usually only use leverage because I can open multiple limit long orders all the way down and on multiple coins without wasting much capital for nothing. Also futures UIs are usually much better than spot UIs.
I see leverage as gambling but with fairer odds than real gambling
I don't even know what 'leveraged' means.
>>61089445Asking mob mafia bosses borrow money to trade even harder
>>61089194thisLimit orders save money on the long run as opposed to market price so you start positive sometimes, but you have to predict the closing price- at least you are priority of what price you asked and not getting jewed out of slippage.I use stop loss because I have a risk tolerance before it hits stop loss. I'd rather lose 4-8% than 60% of my entire portfolio. The other way is to only use what you can afford to lose. If your portfolio is 100,000 then only use 6,000 in an isolated wallet instead of a stop loss. With that much money, I assume most people are not afraid of losing 6k funny money.
>$200 no leverage with stop loss at 50%>$100 with 2x leverageis there any difference between them?
>>61089461So when someone say's they're 'leveraged' it just means they borrowed money to bet on which way an asset will go? And if they lose, they have to pay all the money back? Is this just options trading? I don't fully understand 'puts' and 'calls' either. It seems like it's something that's for people with a lot of money.
>>61089171>Is it ever worth using a stop loss?I got 64:1 profit to loss ratio from my last 20 trades thanks to using calculated stop losses
>>61089723How and where do you trade? I want to start making real money instead of watching my coins go up and down 2-5% each day. Even if I lose...I want some excitement more than anything.
>>61089134thats the only way to survive.Spot only BTC or alts.you still have huge opportunity cost and bear markets but at least you don't get liquidated. an investor should never be in a situation where they can get liquidated anyway.even a stop loss is for fools if you are a real hard investor.if you plan on coming back in 2, 3, 5 years or even better 10 years, then a stop loss will only give you problems.however, avoid most altcoins even if you can't get liquidated because you will just be miserable.they don't keep water.they are not air tightand you will probably lose money on them.at least with BTC and ETH, you have some stability and future prospects.>>61089550in crypto you have protection mechanisms against negative balance.basically the winners pay the losers. (auto-deleveraging)mostly when someone says they are leveraged, they have no clue how to use it and get rekt at some point.these people are not investing, they are buying experiences, thrills.they are buying lottery tickets and rides on the rollercoasters.
>>61089550still, there are ways to use leverage professionally, but 99% of you don't know how. its not complicated, you just need to watch what they do at successful hedge funds.and even in that space, greed gets the best of men and they under-estimate the risks until they get rekt some day.
>>61089434Sure, but you can still get wiped out in an instant
>>61090049I trade on WEEX, wait for consolidations and patterns to form in 1H to 1D charts so I don't get stopped by noise, buy in at the bottom of the bullish pattern only when I am reasonably confident on the overall pattern, don't risk more than a tiny fraction of your account on the position, only do it when you have minimum of 3:1 risk to reward ratio on the trade, when it starts pumping move stop loss to profit so you can't take a loss and I've been getting professional trader advice for over half a year now
>>61090182you got a mentor, that is perfect, if he is good, he can teach you.its the way to go really.people can come up with shit on their own from time to time without professional help but again, 90% of you are just are not cut for it so professional help is needed and wise.you don't need that much help if you are an investor.investing is simple but requires heavy balls.trading is technically much more complicated and also requires heavy balls so professional help can be warranted.
>>61089528You gotta pay fees on leverage position
>>61089134I had a cool batman
>>61090130>>61090142Thanks anon. I'm just too skeptical of people to believe some guy on youtube who explains it. I just think..if it was so easy, and if you're so good at it, why bother making videos about it?
>>61089387>it wicked to literal zeroOnly on Binance :^)
