>>61098327I am kinda hoping we crash again, I need good entry
>>61098327China will break, no doubt.Chinks are already broke. They need to produce cheap shit for the US or their economy will crumble.
>>61098423I wouldn't call pic related "cheap shit".
>>61098428if it wouldnt be cheap they wouldnt be able to sell itthe entire chinese economy is cheap shit
>>61098428my most valuable Chinese made product is made with Korean Samsung LED diodes
>>61098443I never said it wasn't cheap, it is, but it isn't shit. Chinese products have won market share by being both cheap AND high quality.
>>61098327Seems like big news. How come the crypto market hasnt reacted yet?
>>61098467let them compete not on price and they would be going nowherethats why they artificially keep their currency low
>>61098423Not necessarily. China has more in their reserves along with less external debt. They can weather this a lot more than you expect, but they will still have their GDP shrink within the next few years. So don't expect them to just roll over anytime soon. But don't get me wrong, tons of industries are closing up shop in china as well due to these tariffs.
>>61098471perchance because there are no tariffs on crypto
>>61098471>some random brown on twitter posting retardbabble>big news
>>61098327BANANA PHONE

>>61098510I'LL PLACE A CALL ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!OPERATOR, GET MEBEI-JING-JING-JING!!!!!
>>61098428>telephonesMost of that is assembled there but actually owned by American companies. It'll all be produced here in the next year or two anyway.
>>61100409What happens when they nationalize all of it?
It'll keep pumping anyways, this market makes absolutely no damn sense and will always do the exact opposite of what you want it to.Just face it, many of us missed the bottom, AGAIN. Sigh.
>>61100409>Most of that is assembled there but actually owned by American companies1. That only applies to American phones, not to Chinese Xiaomi and Viao phones.2. Even with regards to American phones, the factory owners are American, the factory staff, from the factory workers to the managers and engineers, are almost entirely Chinese. The vast infrastructure those factories use, including the cheap energy, is Chinese. Trying to reshore all of that back to America will not only take years, but would be enormously expensive, meaning those American companies could have to wait years to turn a profit, if at all, and that's not even mentioning the years reduced manufacturing efficiency from having to train brand new American staff, and use more expensive American energy, and spend billions more to build distribution infrastructure from the factories to the ports in America. And at the end of that entire process you could still have consumers refusing to buy $2,000 American iphones.
>>61100427they don't need to nationalise it, China also has phone factories making Chinese phones. Every brand besides Apple in pic related is a Chinese phone.>>61100446*Vivo, not Viao
>>61098327
>>61098327>Xi had to pull the plug from the phone so it would stop ringingThat's phone management.
>>61100457Isn't Vivo spanish?
TACO
>>61098327What kind of goofy ass name is Jamieson>>61098479Also why does Japan have such a massive reserve?
>>61100695No
>>61100409Xiomi, Vivo, Oppo and other brands are quite successful in Europe and growing faster than the western brands. Chinese electronics are pretty good value if you don't care about the bells and whistles that the high-end brands have. The low-end and mid-end hi-fi audio hardware world are being completely taken over by chinese brands per example.
>>61098423Or they stop devaluing the yuan and just buy their own stuff
>>61100446I think the biggest oversight in bringing more manufacturing to the US is the actual workforce itself. Ive worked in manufacturing here in the Midwest at the lowest tier as a machine operator making carpet components in the Midwest. Carpet and textile components for the auto industry. It's a fucking cesspool of the most retarded niggers and poor whites, usually both criminals. Literally stacking, molding, and cutting carpet. It's a minimum wage job paying 3X that. There's literally a fire 2 times a month on a machine that heats carpet and molds it and it's 100% user error. I see nogs visibly thinking every time they hit the same sequence of buttons on a machine in repetition 600 times during a shift, 4 times a week. I'm talking scratching their head thinking while hitting a yellow button, then a green button, and pulling and stacking a part and doing over again in under 1 minutes. You want these spooks to make a phone.... TopfuckingKEK
>>61098443I'm Australian and I can tell you that 52k USD a year doesn't get you shit. Meanwhile you can buy a banquet meal for 5 people on about 10USD in China
>>61098423>They need to produce cheap shit for the US or their economy will crumble.anon, that same cheap shit is the cheap shit you buy on walmart or other american companies. what will happen to those companies, to their workers and to you as their customer when the chinese stop selling to them?>>61098428JFC...>>61098443anon, their currency is kept undervalued to keep exporting cheap shit. what would happen if they decided to stop devaluing their currency tomorrow?>>61098478oh, so you do know that... and still think chinks have low income per capita because they are poor... kek
>>61101059>what would happen if they decided to stop devaluing their currency tomorrow?they wouldnt export shit and their economy would implodeyou genius
>>61101049>dollars buy you more in a poorer countryDoesn't seem like an argument in favor of living in China so much as an argument for taking vacations in China.
>>61098327Uh oh trump is gonna have another melty
>>61101108China has GDP on par (and set to exceed) the U.S with the key difference that their money also has more purchasing power. Most people in the U.S and other western countries are living paycheque to paycheque with credit card debts. Household debt in China is 30% lower than in the U.S. In short, not only is the Chinese economy growing but the average chink actually has more disposable income and that money is also worth more. It's over for the west.
