How do you keep track of your budget? I have a lot of cards and accounts and I usually spend less than I make but I don't know why my balance isn't going up.

Microsoft Excel 2019 (until the support ends or whatever the fuck they're doing).

by not spending a lot. less data to input makes it easier to track. also i just use a physical notebook, or if i'm in public i use the notes app on my phone. the easier it is to input the data the easier it is to track. i'm not going to open an excel spreadsheet when i'm hanging out with friends or family.
>>
if you don't want to do that, set a reminder on your phone before you go to sleep to open all of your different accounts mobile apps to check spending for the day.

Take out a monthly Budget you would like to stay inside in order to increase your balance as Cash. That way you see and feel the monthly budget becoming less and ideally that will make you adjust your spending.

you are in fact, not spending less
>>

Right now I don't, but if I do, I'm going to have to do it manually since Microsoft products (Excel) send all my information to my employer

I'm going to look into this, can you tell me more about it?
>>
if you always spend more than you make you'll always be motivated to make more than you spend, this is how you grow wealth exponentially
>>
why are you keeping track of anything? Your lifestyle and income should be such that you can live your life without having a budget looming over your mind at every purchase. So either your lifestyle costs way too much compared to what you can handle. Or you're just not making enough money in general.

I agree with this if you're single, but once you're married with kids things get more complicated. You basically become the CEO of a small corporation and need to track who is spending money on what.

I'm married with no kids and constantly working on my house and cars. I'm not increasing my savings at the rate it seems I should be, but I don't waste money on stuff for the most part.
>>
Spend as little as possible on everything. No need to do anything else

Just use LibreOffice Calc and it's open source and you'll never lose support or deal with gay microsoft bullshit ever again. You don't need any features excel has.

I got credit cards that get extra points each category. Also I have a budget I stick too.
So my grocery card, spend $150 a month.
So if I spent too much, I can look at that card and say "oh I only have $30 for the last week.
If I overspend, I know exactly where.
Then monthly I adjust in an excel spreadsheet.

Lmk if anyone has pro tips better than this.
>>
I use an app called Copilot that's connected to my bank account and credit cards and my car loan so i see all cash flow in and out.
