Any BTC hodlers from 2017ish that literally never sold? How did you manage with all the bears/spam posts etc? It's easier now seeing BTC being more normie but then it must of been so hard. Also congratz on sticking.

Yeah me lol

Never selling because what would I do with my (((FIAT))) money when the European Central Bank has already stated they want to roll out the digital euro by 2027. There is no alternative to Bitcoin
>>
freedom lover here. got locked down with the unwashed no coiners during COVID 19 all the same bro there is no escape
>>
>>61121774
Nice what was the worst moment while hodling for you? How much of your income % wise would you buy and keep for rainy days?

worst moment? Probably December 2018 when it crashed to 3k during the Bitcoin Cash and BSV hashwars. It was my first bear market so it was pretty tough lol
>>
Yes but I'm only low 7 figures. Don't ask me for advice cause I'm retarded
>>
can anyone explain to a retard that knows nothing (me) what's stopping a collective attack where people short bitcoin then do a huge sell off before buying back in to acquire a bigger share?
>>
>>61121744
2014 hodler here
>how did I manage?
Im not a normie, not even the slightest.
AMA
>>
>>61121873
I'd imagine COVID was rough but glad you hodl, proves that BTC is stronger than fed posts/bears think (if you think more than a year).
>>61121927
God damn, how was the hodl culture then compared to now? What made you stand out and remain? Could imagine only a very small select few did?
>>61121929
Is it from BTC alone? Did you just buy regardless of price including ath 126k? When did you start?
>>61121947
Probably not the guy to reply but I'd imagine it's for people who use leverage longs that get attacked but hodling it doesn't matter if you can wait years, since you own it but so many people who leverage anyway
>>
>>61121947
>what's stopping a collective attack where people short bitcoin then do a huge sell off before buying back in to acquire a bigger share?

Probably because you'll be fighting against a literal ocean filled with whales holding endless cash who would prefer to manipulate it on THEIR timing.
>>
>>61121958
Pretty much this
>>61121960
What I wonder the most is because it was not normie, the absolute panic and lack of hodl memes must of been few and far between, I can only imagine someone adding a small % each week of income and just not chart looking but even then
>>
>>61121960
>Is it from BTC alone? Did you just buy regardless of price including ath 126k? When did you start?
yes from BTC. Alts were a waste of time. I got my bitcoins from trading virtual hats in TF2 and held onto most of them.
>>
>>61121992
Sorry am drunk and read it as you are down 7 figures lol nice tho
>>
It's awesome seeing so many hodlers successful with all the posts on this board making people fear and panic, some motivation for newer btc hodlers like myself that plan to not go by charts or leverage. hopefully we can save some newbies from going leverage alts/memes because i learned it the hard way and rather not see anons learn that way. hopefully we get more comfy stories
>>
I'm thinking of putting at least 30% of my portfolio into BTC and doing DCA monthly. I'd let it sit for at least ten years. It's not too late, is it? I wish I was born earlier..
>>
>>61121960
>its good you are holding and involved but BTC and crypto are not about freedom anon
Its interesting how financial freedom still means being physically locked down like a prisoner how do OG bitcoiners cope with being locked down for years with their trillions?
>>
>>61122719
Well your talking to a buddhist, so if I had billions of BTC at a minus, i'd simply live a min wage life style once basic needs are met. The BTC is just for future investments, if it rises or not. I just see money as paper really. Probably a bad example to you though, but I think the main thing is that if you do buy BTC and hodl, it should be with money you're willing to lose.
>>
Yeah me, holding since 2017. Am a millionaire and I didn't sell even when eating 90% drawdowns I just don't give a shit I'm not selling.
>inb4 someone makes fun of me for not timing the market
Yeah if I did that I'd be richer but might've gotten btfo too. Anyways I've been holding for almost 10 years now I don't care.

Okay so financial freedom and the whole cyberpunk ethos basically means being able to afford a basic boomer lifestyle while being locked down with the rest of of the goyim cattle for the next manufactured crisis BUT you have slightly more numbers than the rest of the slaves
>you can't do anything with these numbers while in lock down
when punk rock bands were begging me to take the vaccine alongside normie celebs i was like huh thats kinda sus
>now buddhist cyberpunks are begging me to buy and hold btc and enjoy the next lock down and mandatory vaccine and get a digital ID to retain access to my imaginary digital wealth which only grants me access to a basic boomer lifestyle
im getting kinda suspicious anon.
what if I l stopped screentime?
what if I got rid of my devices?

Me, but from 2016
>How did you manage with all the bears/spam posts etc?
I just shut it out (don't go to the sights), cause I can't take it. Maybe that's cowardly and not bad-ass enough, but it works.
> It's easier now seeing BTC being more normie but then it must of been so hard. Also congratz on sticking.
Thanks

>worst moment? Probably December 2018
That was rough, my sisters both sold then :/ and have never done crypto again.
