Just found out you can't just buy a Rolex. You have to spend tens of thousands on worthless trinkets to get on the dealer's good goy list, waiting months for the "privilege" for him to contact you.

Is the luxury watch market just a giant scam?
>>
there are middle men who are already on the good goy list and you can purchase from them for a fee
>>
Wow, my opinion of anyone with one of these just got even lower
>>
>>61132632
no you retard thats just if you buy from them directly. You can literally just buy rolexes directly from bitdials and other grey market shit that deal in crypto.

t. Bought an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak for 40,000 euros in bitcoin

>cnc machined and assembled with barely any hand finishing being sold for tens of thousands of dollars

Yeah. A bigger scam than diamonds. And if you wear it then it gets scratched to shit and you can't tell it apart from a watch from the dollar store since it's just a piece of stainless steel.

Just get an Omega, the thinking man's Rolex.
>>
>>61132632
straight up go visit your local pawn shop.
two places near me have hundreds of these.

>Is the luxury watch market just a giant scam?
Yes
>>

And it's not really a scam. A scam is something you lose money on when you aren't expecting to. You can resell a luxury watch, Rolexes appreciate.

Diamonds, now diamonds are a scam.

My dad just checked every licensed Rolex dealer in the area to circumvent that bs. The third one was the winner, located the watch within a week, even took apart and combined the nicest parts of multiple watches to give him the nicest one for the same base price.

He just heard back from one of the first kikes yesterday, by chance. Told the guy to fuck off and that he settled the purchase months ago.

You're supposed to buy preowned watches from places like Chrono24 (filter for professional dealers), not ADs directly. Then you get it serviced at a service center.
>Waltzing into a Rolex AD and telling them where I got it from and seeing the shocked expression on their face
>>
I dont even own a watch, i use my phone
>>
>>61132632
Is this actually true? I went to a Rolex dealer in manhattan and told which watch I wanted, they put me on the “wait list” and said they would get back to me within six weeks. But the very next day they said the watch was ready for me to be picked up. Idk maybe it was a less coveted model or something.
>>
>>61132944
It’s a lottery.
>>
>>61132944
Wait time hinges entirely on someone walking through the door/listing online to sell the watch you're looking for, especially vintage.
>>
>>61132632
just go get them from a dealer lol, imagine spending 30k on cartier when you can just get it for 18k from a watch dealer with tags and the box

>>61132714
you are a giga nigga, rolex is white gold/rose gold/yellow gold

>>61132944
rolex used to be where you can walk in and buy immediately, i remember some brands like omega had discounts kek. obviously watch hype skyrocketed during covid era to 2 years ago so now you have to be put on a waiting list since every celeb wants a panda daytona or the gaytona

>Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
Bet you can really taste the pebbles in the rain with your wine

These things are lame. Its like celebrating your slavery to wasting your time. A constant ticking reminder that you are not truly free, something else needs to be done.

>I can't buy a mid watch that's loved by middle eastern guys
oh no

>>61132632
everyone in 2025 associates rolex with niggers and jeets anyways.

It really depends on the model you want. I got a root beer gmt without too much hassle, just waited a month for it to be available. I bought a two tone datejust and got that within a week. I live in the South, it is easy to get nice watches out here without kissing ass
>>
Im sure some kind jewish gentlemen would be willing to sell you some on the grey market.. for a small fee
>>
I wear a Casio F-91W.
The only people who care about your watch are watchfags.
t. watchfag
>>
Just go to the grey market. The last biig hype is over, and you can get unworn Rolexes very close to retail price.

Imagine paying 40,000k to larp with a second hand watch when you could have had a custom made gold watch crafted by a single watch artisan. That you hold enough money in crypto to afford that is a top signal if I've ever seen one.
>>
>>61135255
Based, I got two of those
Osama knew
>>

The question remains, why would anybody want one. I can have sex with hot women until i lose all my sexual appetite and i have a 250€ watch that i don’t often use. So there goes the only argument to have one, ”so that you can get attractive women”.
>>
>>61132632
thats literal bullshit that poor people believe. my parents bought three because they're boomerfied and all they did was walk in a store and buy them
