So I was pretty new to /biz/ and investing in general, and I saw the "two more weeks" thing about a post on gold and silver in 2023 and I literally thought it was serious, like this is going to happen really fast, so I unironically liquidated my father and grandmother's portfolios into gold mining stocks and the SLV etf and of course my own portfolio. Well anyways I thought I would share the fact that as a family we're up nearly 3 million euros because of that because it just kept going up and we didn't sell of course, now we probably will cash out because it will probably go down. The experience has taught me that profiting in the stock market is literally only for the super intelligent or people that don't really do it at all.
