What really irks me about this discussion is that there's an implication that the rich are somehow taking away from those that aren't, as though wealth creation and intellectual properties didn't exist. I'm not even arguing for or against what OP is talking about, but there is a common misconception about the entire discussion which makes it nearly impossible to argue with people with. Literally, if wealth is being created, then everyone wins. And I'm not even referring to trickle-down economics either, it is a proven fact that if you reside in a country with a lot of wealthy people, the country itself tends to benefit greatly from their presence, instead of trying to take those benefits away from the wealthy, there should be a way to enable them even further.
