Valve killed thousands of people in China alone. They took out loans to trade skins they can never pay back. We are hearing about dozens to hundreds of cases so you know the real numbers is even higher. It is getting really dark.

natural selection. Imagine holding digital farts.
not only valve could always ruin this, but also any steam employee could fuck around with your items and even close your account.
imagine if some retard could just close your bank account and send everything to a friend of his.
and yes this happened to some peopel apparently, getting their accounts banned, then all their items mysteriously traded away

market transactions bring a fee into valve's pocket. cs2's market was getting stale, with expensive items getting hogged and hodled by hoarders who drove up the price, leading to less transaction fees going to valve. the tradeup update means that every single red in the game (even the 2€ ugly ones from way back) instantly became way more desirable, meaning more will be bought for higher prices. aka bigger and fatter fees for valve. another piece is knives (especially the expensive ones) don't get sold on the steam market, but are sold/traded on external platforms, meaning valve gets 0 commission for the transaction. steam market has a upper price limit for items, so selling dopplers and CHs on steam market implies a direct loss since you'd get way more money on independent sites. valve has been trying to crack down on this for years in true jew fashion, and this is p much the nuclear option that will kill the external market for skins

By the way, doesn't this mean some items will go up in value a lot? like if people can burn items to make knives they will burn through a lot of skins

Red skins supply will go down.

Knives supply will go up.

People with knives should convert them in red skins ASAP, with time knives will drop to the few hundreds range.
