why do you hate hedgefund so much? they're trying to make money the same as everyone else. you hate rich people controlling the stock market but aren't you trying to do the same by shilling your meme stocks everywhere?
stupid thread. there's a difference between mundane shilling and having so much wealth you can bend a stock in any direction on any given day.

I hate everyone who has more money than me
i dont hate hedge funds. 90% of them under perform SPX.Hedge funds basically take money from rich fucks and under perform SPX. How can you not love the people who scam the rich boomers?
>>61190007I don't hate hedge funds either - this is not reddit. Most of them lose money and go bust. Even Treasury secretary Bessent blew up his fund which is kind of concerning for the economy.
>>61190007It's over for the freedom of the people, everyone has hope in this meaningless rat race where they are deluded some day they'll be rich
>>61190085this, i'd kneel if besides lining their pockets on boomer's dime they didn't have to pay a fuckton of taxes so Israel can>defenditself
Hedgies I don't mind so much, most of them fail anyways since they gamble on startups.Private equity on the other hand...they take established companies we knew and loved growing up (ie Toys R Us) and they overleverage buy them, saddle the beloved companies with a shitloads of debt to artificially drive up their value, then dump the company for a profit while the company is left in debt and goes bankrupt from that overwhelming debt. For exmaple, Bain Capital (Mitt Romney's company) did this shit to both KB Toys and Toys R Us, both childhood memory companies I remember fondly. I simply can't forgive hedge funds for doing this plus they're buying up the whole real estate market pricing most of everyone out.tldr; hedgies aren't the enemy, private equity are the real parasites people should draw their ire towards
>>61190007They are particularly good at making money, and it is a zero sum game, so it is only nature poorfags hate them
>>61191389>They are particularly good at making moneyAre they really? If you held Bitcoin, you outperformed them all. By far.
>>61191437Bitcoin is more of a once in a lifetime exception, it can't really compare to a stable low volatility 15-30% APY portfolio that some sophiscated hedgies are able to reproduce for all but the largest sums (in which case Buffet's style works better).
>>61191389>They are particularly good at making moneymy account is growing multiple times faster than theirs
>>611907777trips checked.Absolutely true; they’ve killed a lot more than that and plenty left zombified, dead on their legs but kept standing for a little while longer.
