That sounds bad, anon. If you need $4,000 to avoid a serious problem, you should sell that ounce of gold immediately.

>If I have 1 ounce of gold what should I hold out for in reality? I have no wiggle room.
If you can't afford the gold and need the money, sell it. You should buy PMs with surplus cash that you can comfortably afford to spend. Giving up Starbucks every day will save you enough money to buy some junk silver at spot every week.

If you are really living hand to mouth, then you can't afford to stack until you either reduce your expenses, or increase your income.
>>
>>61194616
I spend all my money on silver and then take short-term loans out against my silver with my parents to pay for essentials. Keeps spending to a minimum while accumulation remains at maximum.

That can work well as a forced savings plan if they don't charge you interest. That might be a good idea for >>61194593 to try if he has family or a friend who would be cool with it. Buy/Sell premiums really eat into the capital.

Hold it, when the GSR hits above 90-1 make a swap out of gold into silver. Now you'll have between 85-100 oz of silver. Then wait for the GSR to come back to normal. I bet wee see 100-1 again before we see 50-1

1 oz of gold would be 4 gold Aurei, or 200 denarii. That's roughly 1 years wages for a legionary. So, not a lot.
Solution: keep stacking.
>>
>>61194827
You could buy a cheap used car with an oz now. My motorbike is basically worth an oz.
In the future, anywhere from an expensive new car to a few acres of land I imagine, depending on how fast and far the US dollar economy crumbles.
Never pay money for a bitch, the ones you can buy are never worth it and will never really be yours
Hold PMs as insurance against the fiat ponzi scheme, not as a short term investment

An ounce of gold would buy a modest property if things go south, or possibly even save your life.

Keep your gold, but if you buy more precious metals, buy silver. it's cheap relative to gold now, but will close the gap in the worth case

The wef famously said you will own nothing and be happy. Which is where this argument began.
The current and past CEO and the crypto company itself is listed on the wef website. Why would they list them if they have nothing so with the new system.
PMs will be tokenized, and they will be moved around with crypto.
>The government will make their own CBDC and it won't be something that's already available now.
Why would they? There are so many companies and chains they could use, why would they create their own?
What's more plausible is creating their own cbdcs on a current chain that has been around years and had the testing done for them.

>The wef famously said you will own nothing and be happy. Which is where this argument began.
Not true, even the Bible states:
>The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. ~psalms 24:1
>The current and past CEO and the crypto company itself is listed on the wef website. Why would they list them if they have nothing so with the new system.
To garner consensus and acceptance. And just like the executive order of 1933 about turning in gold, it's a grift. I would ask if you have silver or gold, will you turn it over to the current or past CEO? But you already answered that question when you said;
>>61195074
>I bought the crypto that the new system will be running on.
So your bias is showing.
>>The government will make their own CBDC and it won't be something that's already available now.
Never said that, but since you placed these words into my mouth, what is the federal reserve note? Or any other sanctioned, decreed unit of value that is enforced with violence and indoctrinated into the youth of a nation from birth? Ah yes, another non-consentual grift.
>Why would they?
As stated, they already do, and the why is control and power.
>What's more plausible is creating their own cbdcs on a current chain that has been around years and had the testing done for them.
Governments don't care about currency competition or fear currency creation because they hold a monopoly on violence of conformity within the on ramps and off ramps within their jurisdictions having authority.
It just sounds like you are trying to save your own skin instead of money because silver "is" money.
A bit of advice fren: Don't make decisions based on fear, and don't spread fear to garner consensus.

The government is the servant of the people, not the master. If you ever get to personally know politicians, you'll realize that they are some of the scummiest, least trustworthy people that you will ever have the misfortune to meet.

They are the last people on earth that should be trusted with power over others. The US Constitution wasn't written to give you rights, it was written to limit the reach of governments.

This guy is an absolute legend. The Hunt brothers got fucked because they were speculating in silver derivatives and got royally fucked over when they said no one can buy silver futures any longer. (Futures are settled daily, so if no one can buy then the price is going to fall and the losses will stack up regardless of what the fundamental situation is. I wish him the best, because he may not realize it, but bankers play some high stakes games and goy billionaires flaunting their large stacks of silver is probably seen as a mortal threat from their perspective. It was always my thinking that the super billionaires probably had some limitations on them in terms of what they can spend their money on. They seem to begin operating as powerful functionaries controlling media and commerce etc than slurping up pallets of silver. I hope he is smart enough to hide it, because he is going to have his warehouses seized via eminent domain when he won't agree to sell it for the fake spot price.

Just rent your existence for a lifetime of labor! You can have all of the porn, corn syrup and burgers you want! You don't have any money or freedom of speech but we'll pay for you to have abortions and cut your dick off. You tax cattle are bunch of whiners.
I think it was Warren Buffets sidekick Charlie Munger who chastised the plebs because too many people wanted to be "ontop". Basically meaning no one was content to be a wageslave and too many people were looking for get rich quick schemes. None of this shit would be possible without zero percent interest rates to prop up bankrupt banks who made stupid loans on real estate (Who they turned around and offloaded onto the taxpayer). There are countless examples of wealthy people who don't work who just borrow some money, buy a bond and then use that as collateral to get more loans and buy more stocks so they can sit there and collect money from the rest of us who do work.
All of these leveraged up landlords (Robert Kiyosaki types), hedge funds, short sellers, bankers all need to go bankrupt suddenly overnight.
I've read enough about the American economy and how it works to know that it is 100% set up to STEAL wealth. That is the game that is set up. I read it right from the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion that they allow everyone to participate because they want the smart tax cattle the means to escape instead of causing them problems with the evil system they set up. Everyone is chronically underpaid due to things like dividends and needing to feed the paper-ponzi (social security, you pay 7.5% on your pay stub and the employer pays 7.5% per employee as well. That cost is hidden). Health insurance is another scam to threaten your life and your money from bankruptcy lawyers. I will not be the victim of the fiat fallout.
The government trillions it doesn't have. What is even the point of my wages or earning interest or dividends in the face of needing to create so much fiat dollary-doos?
The answer is simple and obvious: The financial system is not safe.
Can the deficit spending stop or slow down: No
So it only gets worse from here: Yes
Is there historical precedent of banks/governments revaluing gold: Yes
Did owners of dollars and stocks win during the revaluation?: No
Logically and historically speaking, we are careening directly towards a major recalibration in the dollar. The medium used to recalibrate the dollar is gold. Silver is also historically cheap compared to gold which means we will have a highly leveraged position as not only is gold revalued against the dollar, but also silver revalued against gold. GSR 10:1 is probably highly likely and it could even get lower. Every single ounce you own, you should start looking at them like 1/10 coins of gold and do some mental math on how much money you have.

Fiat dollary doos are the scam. Thy go to work for $30 an hour when the government just prints up trillions every few months. What is even the point? The market cap of newly mined silver is only $45BN. That is a rounding error for the federal government. A federal government who can't take anywhere near enough to spend enough money into the economy when the debts are sucking so much out.
The system is ruined. Fortunately for me, I own silver. My wealth can't be stolen by dollar dilution of fiat funny-munny.

The government prints up $ by the trillion. It also looks like the BRICs want to move away from dollars. Not a good sign at all for any of us. I see central banks selling dollars to buy gold so I think I am going to trust the central banks and foreign countries and follow suit.
The dollar's best days are long in the past and the exponential nature of interest will ensure its destruction. You can't save the dollar by enriching the masses. You save the dollar by impoverishing them. No way around it.
Luckily I am smart enough and bold enough to not fall victim to the fiat fallout.
I sold my fiat dollary doos for scarce and valuable real world assets.

I like the way free silver looks and feels. But I decided to go the 21st century way and put my freshly polished junk into tubes. Not all of them are polished yet, but they'll be soon.
Just finished designing and printing these today. 25 coins per tube. Getting the threads just right was more tricky than I thought it would be. It's nice to learn new tricks every once in a while.

They are wrong, telling nowdays everything was black back then, Jesus too black? What else? My grandmother black? And white humans? Just some marigninal unplanned offsping then right? So no more need for them today, have to disappear now, but pronto. ... I can proof the other way, check "Bunte Götter" (Greeks, Romans) to see how humans looked and clothed back and painted their buildings then, in echt. ... Also Alexander the Great+Wife+Ptolomeus are buried in a tomb in N-Jordania but the King put this under little cover "because of religion" as you can witness here: https://youtu.be/R7gcDDhcigU?t=6137 2020.06.05 Die heilige Sprache - #WhoKnows?! mit Klaus Dona & Damanhur Best is to watch the full video. A French get in in 2009, could film a bit+do photos we can see in the video. A tomb full of gold+emeralds, some molten from energy field, transparent protection shield one can not pass, getting harder if try to pierce. Gold statues of Alexander+Wife, some lost Ark also there that might radiate the energy. A self lightening light source also there. Also found metall book they are about to translate. Entry is a stair with stone cover that opens automatic and 1mm accurate. But Wikipedia still not knows. ... I got no news since the video. Back in 2020 the work stopped because C-19. But the Jordanian University should have some news/work there again. ... Ancients had high technology. Ptolomeus hid Alex there. Griechen = Friesen.

Correct there is high volatility, delberately so, facilitated by the 400:1 ratio of paper silver to physical which obfuscates true price discovery, for the purpose of discouraging institutional investors from buying and holding silver, reducing investment demand, leaving only industrial usage and and relatively insignificant niche collectors.

More and more people are realizing that the $USD cannot survive the coming inflation which will happen as the USA prints its deficits.

Silver and gold represent real money.

Today was a FANTASTIC DAY.
Secured 1.8kg of 5F semeuses for 300€ at a house-emptying of a 104yo croaked granma. That's 85% below spot (could even got it for 50€ if i wanted to, the daughter didn't know anything about coins, but i gave her some pity bux). Feel gud frens. I need to find ways to know when dead boomers' homes are getting emptied, there are fucking treasures out there.
That's the 2nd house i do this week, last time i didn't secure any PMs but i scouted the house pharmacy and i loaded like crazy on painkillers & benzos, which is (almost) as valuable as PMs in it's own way.

Any tips to know how to scout houses' emptying in your area?

Whatever is the most popular. The best way to verify coins is if you already own some of the same coins. That's what's great with standardized junk existing in large amounts : if you have one in hand you wont ever be fooled by potential fakes.
>>
>>61197035
Very early in shtf the Sacagaweas might be slightly more prefered since people have more experience with them than Mercs and ascribe value to them due to not seeing them in circulation much. Also some people think they contain trace amounts of Gold.
Later on people will prefer Mercs once they learn what silver is. Though since they're made of brass, the Sacagaweas won't become completely worthless.

Lmao moment. The biggest drop we're getting is to 45, and there'll still be premiums on it that make it 50 just like it is right now. Sexy condition, nice addition to any ancient collection.
Lately i've been tetramaxxing on very cheap by slurping Antioch/Alexandria billon tetras during the roman occupation (Ptolemies still had some influence, but weren't the top dog anymore). They weight about 12/13g and are minted on pretty large planchets; the silver content is a bit random and vary quite widly. You can find those for 30-40 bux, that's pretty nice to fill up your ancients' binders if you are a poorfag like me kek.

The company that grades them guarantees that they're not fake. Like if find one that's a fake you send it back to them and they pay you full market value as if it was real.

because they're responsible for every coin they put in a holder, they're extremely good at detecting fakes.

No, usually this anon buy the most beautiful ones he can find then send them to be graded by NGC in hope they are getting a top pop grade, he can then sell back to high end collectors for a much bigger price tag.

>anyone with the correct resources can make an exact replica of a mint condition coin
I'm only aware of one case where someone made an exact replica that passed inspection by a grading company.

of course you wouldn't know about it if they did make a perfect replica because it wouldn't get caught.

but a lot of these coins have known populations and provenances, so if you suddenly showed up with a new one and there's only 3 of them out there, people are definitely going to be suspicious. Also even at thousands of dollars each, most of these coins aren't worth the time and effort it would cost to make perfect fakes. It's not that easy.
>>
>>61197419
>this sounds like speculation to me.
yes, very much so

In shtf rare coins aren't going to be worth much of anything probably. But then silver and gold might not be either. Depends how desperate people get.
>>
>>61197435
yeah, you got me. that was the bottom line. silver and gold are supposed to be real money, even in a shtf scenario.
of course we could go full prepper retard here and talk about how a lighter would be better than gold because a lighter makes fire... I'm not interested in that kind of discussion.
but if gold and silver are also useless in a shtf scenario. then they are no better than fiat and these threads are just shinny stuff collecting fetish

I think raw gold and silver retain value in shtf much better than stuff like rare coins and art.

but eventually things calm down and stuff like rare coins become valuable again. Just takes time. Maybe a few years, maybe a few thousand years. No way to know.

either way, speculating on rare coins right now pays for itself for a lot of people. It's basically free silver and gold if you can buy low and sell high.
>>
>>61197416
I agree on the floor, but the rate cuts didn't cause the price to go up or down, in fact, nothing they claimed did.
It was paper holders manipulating and that's all it's been. They've come up with excuses for why it's going higher for an entire year, but the reality is it's all just an effort to lower demand and have people sell off. Those things they claimed every week for the last year? All fake, no relation to the price. There's no enough silver now and they're running a 200 million ounce deficit per year, so if the price goes up maybe some people get priced out, maybe more mines open, but the whole goal is to keep the price as low as possible, and that includes raising the price to fix the deficit before it goes critical.

People will disagree with this but when they pull an excuse out of their ass for an entire year it's obvious, especially when the spot price is literally just set by the buy / sell orders in paper and has no relation to physical.

>But then silver and gold might not be either.
The only time silver and gold won't be highly valuable are in exceedingly rare, very short term lifeboat ethics conditions.

>Lifeboat ethics by definition are only relevant during a short term life threatening crisis. This is not the case for most of our existence otherwise we would be extinct.

>Imagine you're on a lifeboat with three other people. Each one of you has a gallon of drinking water and some lifeboat food. One of the people on the boat has 4 ounces of gold. You may not get rescued for seven days. You will die of thirst without water in 3 days.

>Would you sell your gallon of water for 4 ounces of gold? I wouldn't.

>Once things begin to normalize, people begin to engage in TRADE. Gold and silver have been universal trade goods for THOUSANDS of years. Most trade will be commodities barter. People with some gold or silver will be able to buy a homestead, buy more land, buy machinery, or loan it to a neighbor who can be trusted. (((for a small fee perhaps))))

If human society exists for any extended period of time under "lifeboat ethics" conditions, we would have gone extinct, as some of our ancestors already did.
>>
>>61197370
>you buy them in those plastic cases right?
Not always
The ones in the cases are graded like Pokemon cards, so you'd not really want to remove it because part of the value (above melt/spot) is based on that grading.
Most bars and coins don't come in those and you're free to touch or scratch them up as much as you'd like because their value is tied to them being silver and not because of their grade or condition
>>
>>61197481
I understand. but in that case you are risking paying precious metal + grading and getting back aluminum or tin
>>
Well if you grade aluminum or tin you deserve to lose money.
>>
>>61197489
Perhaps.
I personally don't bother with graded coins because I think they're a meme.
Just buy the real silver you know you can test. Some even say that it's better if it tarnishes because that just proves it's real silver.
